I found this book to be very confusing and difficult to read. Of course since it is a triology I will pick up the last two parts and see if they resolve the many hanging questions. The MC's where well defined and likable. However the opponents were not clear and made no sense.

I found some of the descriptions of place to be repeated multiple times. They felt like filler. Conversations were the same way, often repeating the same information. When the conversations were different, they rarely resolved anything.

Every being is infused with a soul upon their creation, but what would happen if a soul was split?

Running from his troubled past, Andrew arrives in LA, greeted by his loving boyfriend and headed for a night of celebration. When Jack gets down on one knee, the last thing either of them expects is Andrew’s sudden death, a tragedy that sets in motion a chain of events that will alter the fabric of reality itself.

As death thrusts him into a strange world full of outlandish and dangerous inhabitants, Andrew embarks upon a mission to reunite a princess with her long-lost prince. As familiar as it feels, he soon learns shadowy forces are working against him, and nothing in this land is as it appears. Andrew’s in a different kind of fairy tale, and he must seek out the other half of his soul if he ever hopes to find his way home again.

At the beginning of this book I found myself a little bit confused because the characters seem to move around the chapter is a little bit too much. Once It settled down I really enjoyed it , can’t wait for the next chapter.

This unique storyline was both weird and fascinating. It was wonderfully complicated and totally engaging as the MC was thrust into an exciting adventure that had me reading well into the wee hours. The abrupt ending left me desperate for more and I cannot wait to dive into book two.

this was a really unique read, I liked the premise and the cover really drew me in. I liked the characters and I enjoyed the way the author writes.

just no.

I tried several times to understand what was happening, but nothing made sense, I read the same chapter several times and did not know anything about what was happening, everything was a mystery and not attractive enough for me to read beyond chapter 5.

I'm not sure if all the characters were human or anthropomorphic animals or I don't know. were they supposed to be in a different dimension? I think so. And yet no character bothered to explain what was happening. And the only one who could just did some long descriptions about his surroundings and no explination.

I'm not a fan of books with more than 2 POV which made me less interested.
Sorry to give this review, but it is impossible for me to reread this book and try to decipher what was happening.

DNF, I was so lost I couldn’t figure out what was going on. After 4 chapters, I didn’t care to try. I’m saddened that I am giving a negative review on a debut author, but this story is just not for me.
