Thos book is indeed strange. If ound it difficult to get into as there is a lot of descriptions about will exercisong and hating himself. It is unfortunately not a very good read as it is hard to follow and the characters are not engaging.

I am sorry. I had trouble connecting with this book. Somehow the characters and the plot just didn't seem real to me. I dont think I would recommend this book . But thank you for sending me this ARC anyway.

Will is a man in his 20's who spends his days perfecting his physique at the gym.  In his quest for vanity, Will decides that he needs a tattoo; however, it needs to be unique.  A sketch of an alluring woman in front of a volcano catches his eye and he finds himself unable to stop thinking about the woman in the picture.  Once Will sources the money, he gets inked.  Then, the dreams start.  Will is transported to the  land of his tattoo when he sleeps.  He meets the woman inked on his chest, named Hel and becomes obsessed.  Hel's world is more dangerous, with a constantly erupting volcano, ghostly guards and strange creatures. Will is transfixed by Hel and the dreamland.  The more he dreams, the more it affects him in the real world.  When Will's dreams begin to affect his real life, Will must decide what he values more. 

A Strange Man Named Will is a book in the Sleeper Chronicles which can be read in any order and add another perspective to the story.  Will's story captured me from the beginning.  His character is not exactly someone I would like.  Will is overly obsessed with his appearance, lives with his parents without contributing and doesn't seem to care about the people around him.  Despite this, I was fascinated by the choices he made in his life and within his dreams.  Will's time within the dream world of Rehen was definitely more intriguing for me as he attempted to desperately search for Hel and navigate the different landscape.  In the real world I was very interested in Will's interaction with Jill and am still wondering what connection she has to the dream world and where her fixation with Will stems from.  Will's new capability within the real world is also very mysterious and I wonder what impact it will have in Rehen.  With an abrupt ending, I hope to continue reading Will's story again very soon.

this book was very intriguing but I didn't like it at all, it is really interesting but sometimes I just got a little bored, but the writing was excellent and I liked it.

This one specifically was quite a challenge to get through. Which, really bummed me out! I loved loved loved the concept. The writing however was completely subpar. This book would have easily been a 4 star for me if all the daily nuances were removed. For example, describing every food and every outfit the character wore, every single day. There was also a lot of descriptions that I found offensive. When describing women it was not acceptable and people of other races. I appreciate NetGalley for providing me the opportunity to read and review this arc. However, it did not do it for me and I will not be continuing with the series or the writer.

This is a first book of a series by Zdan. The premise is a little out there and the plot is definitely original. It's an easy and fun read.

Will is a bodybuilder; he works out at the gym daily. As hard as he works, to obtain the perfect body, something is missing. He decides to get a tattoo of a beautiful woman on his chest.
I do not agree with the way Will raised the money to afford this tattoo. And suddenly, the girl on his chest is the only thing that matters to him.he knows others must envy him because he has such a beautiful girl on his chest. Then, the tattoo becomes infected. He’s unable to eat, he's lost interest in working out.
It is then, he starts seeing the girl on his chest in complex dreams every time he falls asleep.

Can he stay asleep long enough to get through the maze, and win her love?
