Thank you NetGalley, Sourcebooks Casablanca and Kianna Alexander for gifting me an advance copy of this book in exchange for my honest review!
Never Let Me Go is book number three in Kianna Alexander’s The Southern Gentleman series, but my first novel by her. I had no problem reading this as a stand alone!
Maxwell Devers is in the running to head a huge project that will change his career. Too bad an old enemy is always vying for the contract and willing to do whatever to win. Max needs a nanny to help care for his daughter, enter Yvonne Markham. Yvonne takes the nanny job as a stepping stone to opening her own daycare center someday. She quickly falls for baby Sacha and then... her dad?
This was a fresh take on an age old troupe and with the right amount of chemistry, drama and laughs!

I received an ARC from the publisher through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

Never Let Me Go was my first book from Kianna Alexander, although I had previously read a novella of hers in an anthology. And while this is the third in a series, it stands alone, while making me curious to pick up the other two.

While the employer/nanny romance has been done in myriad ways before, Alexander injects something fresh into the setup and makes it her own. Max and Yvonne are both compelling characters with strong independent motivations that are at odds with a lasting romance between them, yet it’s obvious they work well together.

I also really appreciated the way Max’s own issues with committing to love over his dreams were interrogated, as I don’t feel like I’ve seen a lot of that, particularly in. terms acknowledging his own fault in the demise of previous relationships and how that mirrors the current one with Yvonne.

This is lighthearted, charming Southern romance, and one I’d recommend to other contemporary romance lovers.

Sacha's mom is deployed and now because her grandmother has had a stroke, Max finds himself caring for the 7 month old. He's new to babies and he's in the middle of trying to get.a big contract so he hires Yvonne as a nanny. Yvonne hopes to open her own childcare center someday. She's also stunned the minute she locks eyes with Max. You know how this is going to go, don't you? Well, it's a genial loving look at a couple finding one another and bonding over a child. Thanks to netgalley the ARC. A good read for when you need a lift.

I super wanted to love this because of the awesome premise, but the writing style is just not clicking. Wouldn't be fair to the book if I finished and rated it lowly. DNF.

Maxwell and Yvonne just fit together!

Architect Maxwell Devers would do anything for his little girl but when her maternal grandmother had a stroke, he knew he had to step up and take care of her until his former girlfriend returned from her military deployment. Maxwell hired Yvonne Markham to be Sacha’s nanny while he was at work designing a new cultural center for the city of Fayetteville.

Never Let Me Go is the third book in The Southern Gentlemen Series about a group of fraternity brothers. Single father dating the nanny is a familiar start in romance, but Kianna Alexander had made it her own with a couple just seems to fit together even with their love for each other and Sacha.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This was an okay book, found it long and winded, and kinda got bored half way through the book. The characters were a bit 2 dimensional and I found it hard to warm up to them

Max wants to get the contract for a new performing arts center. The issue with this is, someone he went to college with also wants the same contract.

Yvonne was not the only one blown away when she walks into Max's office for the nanny position. Neither wanted to act on their emotions because he was her employer. She also did not want anything to get in the way of her opening up her own child care center.

It was nice to see the love and dedication Max had for his infant daughter.

This was the first book I have had the pleasure of reading by this author, and I am happy I did. It had me hooked from the beginning. The flow was consistent throughout, and the characters were very engaging.

Maxwell opened the doors at Hay street municipal building. He loved architecture. He has a daughter Sasha who is seven months old. He is not on best of terms with Sasha's mother. I lost interest in the events.
