None of these stories really did anything for me as compared to other books that are like this one. maybe other readers will see this differently.

This is an interesting collection of stories with some being very short and quick and others a little longer to develop the story or in a sense build the for play. These stories are told from a woman's point of view. This book as you may gather from the title is very graphic in its short stories so if that bothers you then this is not the book for you. If you have a free hour that should all you need to read this from cover to cover unless you have some steamy interruptions. Thank you to Netgalley for an ARC for an fair and honest review.

A compilation of erotic stories by a female protagonist. All straight to the act without a real story to substantiate it a bit.

I don't normally read short stories of this genre. I couldn't completely get into it and engage with the characters. I ended up skipping bits.

I wasn't impressed with this one. There just wasn't enough of a story to keep me reading. Though the steam was there, there wasn't enough plot or character. I enjoy getting to know the characters I'm reading about so the steam has some meaning. I would pass on this one.

Short, fast and a little steamy...

The writing is a little lacklustre for me and the heat not as scorching as I am used to. The stories are short and varied in the amount of heat they pack.

Far too short a stories so each one felt rushed. I know they were meant to be steamy sexy stories but I really don't feel they were. Disappointing really.

Both the plot of these stories and the writing were pretty awful. I could only make myself read about half of them.

Hot and Steamy Stories is literally a book that has a collection (around 14) of erotic stories. Now, I have read a lot of erotica at all levels of intense but this read as very unsatisfying as a lot of chapters were in different POVs (one chapter being in third, another in first, etc) which I found jarring and while I understand that quite a bit of erotica focuses on the sexy themes but a lot of these stories had a very little plot.

I also felt uncomfortable with some of the stories as one is definitely more dub-con in my opinion, a lot of the 'steamy scenes' were so incredibly lacklustre that I wanted to skip over them. Some of the terms used drew back from the story as they weren't at all sexy or sometimes anything related to what the author was describing. Another issue, which is more of a personal squick than anything but a lot of the stories had no foreplay or preparation and for me, that is a big no as even though I know this is fiction, thus not being real, but I really feel that just slamming into a person is 1.) going to be painful 2.) is not a pleasant image to me and 3.) Sets expectations to readers that will probably get them hurt if they try it in real life.

Overall, this really disappointed me.

So I'm not as verse in reading erotica compared to the other readers of this book perhaps, but I was definitely shocked when the book started off with very little plot and right into the porn. The stories do circulate around women and their insatiable lust, and the stories are quite intense and descriptive. If a fan of erotica were to consider this book, they would probably be quite delighted. My foray into literary porn has been so far in fanfiction, and I think knowing the characters and the basic plot in fandom literature, I can more easily accept the intense scenes right away. Here, the characters are but names, very little personality, very little backstory, and very few differences besides where they have sex, the names of the men, and how many men are being used for sex. I guess there could be a feminist take on this plot, how the story revolves around unashamed women who are open (minds and legs) and quite vocal about how much they love to have sex. But I don't think that was enough for me. Again, if a fan of erotica lit were to read this, I'm sure they would enjoy it, but this book was not for me and therefore I can only judge it as far as I can like it.
