This was a fun, enjoyable Christmas book. The main characters were all likable, which isn't always the case for me when I read romance novels. And even though this was the second book in the series, and I haven't read the first book, the book stood alone.

🎄MY REVIEW 🎄
Their Christmas Baby Contract is book 2 in the Blackberry Bay series but it can easily be read as a stand-alone with no problem at all. I really liked Brady alot but it took me awhile to warm up to Reyna. The Book moves at a good pace and all of the characters are well developed and likeable.I loved the growth that the characters made, although they both had baggage from the past to overcome. This is a wonderful addition to what seems to be a great series. I really loved Brady's Family and can't wait to see if more comes out about Brady's mom Secret . This is the first time reading anything by this author, but definitely will not be the last. I really would like to get a hold of book 1 and read it.
I really loved the authors writing style . If you are looking for a great friends to lovers Christmas romance story you should add this one to your list. And as with any book you read PLEASE leave the author a REVIEW. There's something about seeing the Harlequin logo that has me one-clicking, ready to indulge in a great romance. And this author definitely brought me that.

I love the Blackberry Bay series and Shannon Stacey did not disappoint with this wonderful holiday read! Reyna was introduced in the first book and I loved her instantly. She's feisty, knows what she wants, and isn't afraid to go after it. Even when what she wants is a baby.

Brady Nash has been in love with Reyna forever. When another of her relationships goes bad right in front of his eyes, he'd do anything to make her smile, including agreeing to her crazy idea to have a baby together. An electrician and secure financially, and with a home, but equally as bad at finding a woman to settle down with (because he wants Reyna!) he decides co-parenting with her might be the only way to become a father. Their agreement was to 'date', show up pregnant, and then break up before the baby arrives.

And then. The feels. The feels they weren't expecting but were there nonetheless. The comfort and joy they found in spending time with each other and the ache when they were apart. They both wanted the same thing, but they didn't know how to find their way there.

Once again Shannon wrote this wonderful romance in a mature and sensible way. The characters didn't stomp off mad and never speak again just because their feelings got hurt. Reyna and Brady had to learn how to communicate with each other, but they still worked at it the way any couple navigating their situation would.

The secondary cast of characters was strong and I love Brady's family and Reyna's mom. It was nice to see Meredith and Cam again, too! If you love well-written, sweet, small-town romances with so many wonderful characters and all the feels, then you want to get started on this series today!

Such a sweet feel-good book about two friends who both suck at relationships. They decide to have a baby together but need to pretend to be a couple so the nosy towns people have less to gossip about. This fake-dating story takes place under the backdrop of a small town during Christmas and is the perfect story to cozy up to with a warm tea.

This story takes place in Blackberry Bay, which I first thought had randomly been chosen due to the company rather than the fruit. It is a small quaint town where most of anyone knows everyone, which can be equally endearing and annoying to those who live there. As at least three books will be taking place here, with this novel being the second and another to be published next year, and I cannot wait to return to this place.

The author tried to add layers to the story by each of the main characters having not only the secret they share but a secret from each other and most of the town. These secrets could potentially affect their own lives, one another’s, and possibly other people --thus having some influence to the plot. However, one secret is basically a non-issue that has cute moments after being shared while the other is essentially resolved yet open-ended enough to become the basis of a future novel itself * fingers crossed * Thankfully, the main plot is strong enough even without these things to be an interesting story.

I absolutely love the MMC, Brady. I was actually rooting for him more than Reyna merely because he is so adorably swoon-worthy. Rather than explain why he is now the love of my life, I will only say that when you read this and have your own “aww” moment will you understand how he can so easily steal a girl’s heart. These two characters are perfect for each other, their flaws and strengths balance well together, so there is no doubt their love is meant to be.

I usually enjoy books by Shannon Stacey and this one did not disappoint. If you want a friends-to-lovers relationship, a second chance romance, or enjoy an accidental / accidentally on purpose pregnancy then you will want to read this book as it has all the tropes you could desire rolled into one sweet story. I will definitely be checking out the first book of the Blackberry Bay series, and look forward to the next.

Shannon Stacey is one of my go-to's for comforting contemporaries, and THEIR CHRISTMAS BABY CONTRACT is another lovely entry in the Blackberry Bay series. Lots of tropey goodness, from Christmastime shenanigans to relationship of convenience to fake dating. A very sweet and satisfying read.
