Oh wow this was so good! Intertwining the stories of a family with secrets and a woman named Juno with a big secret of her own. Twists and turns that I never would have expected! I read this in one setting and couldn’t put it down.

4.5/ 5 stars

Tarryn Fisher is one of my most favorite authors. I was so beyond thrilled to get to read this book. It was my most anticipated book of Fall/Winter 2020.

I have read every single book that Tarryn has written. And they are all amazing. The Wrong Family is no exception. It is a wonderful psychological thriller.

There are very few authors that I would drop everything for. But Tarryn Fisher is one of them.

The narrators of The Wrong Family are Winnie and Juno (both 3rd person POVs). These are two complex women. I really enjoyed being in each of their heads.

The book is divided into three parts and takes place in Greenlake, a neighborhood in Seattle.

Winnie and Nigel (her husband) have a 13 year old son, Samuel. Juno (67) is a former therapist who lives with them.

The book starts out with Juno doing some intriguing things in Winnie and Nigel's house. So I was super interested right from the start.

Both Winnie and Juno have secrets And I really enjoyed learning more about these women. I really loved that the book featured two amazing female narrators.

This book was very good. There were definitely some epic reveals. And the last part was especially riveting. There was so much happening in that last part of the book that I could not put the book down. The ending was wow. The epilogue was double wow!!! I would highly recommend this book!

This is a creepy twisted thriller that keeps you reading into the night. However, the premise was a little too far-fetched to be believable to me. Each character has issues which leads to catastrophic results. #TheWrongFamily #TarrynFisher #NetGalley

Thank you to Netgalley for an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. I enjoyed the beginning and the plot device to keep the reader guessing at what was exactly happening in the plot. Once the reader realizes the bizarre circumstances of the main characters, I admit I was intrigued. But the book starts to linger here and seems to be spinning its wheels. I admit that I couldn't bring myself to finish the book. Gret promise that falls short.

Tarryn Fisher is back at it again with a clever novel full of shocking secrets that you think are safe within the walls of your home. She is so brilliant at how she can spin a story. It’s so funny to me how Juno came about to this family. It will have you reeling and now I’m double checking things in my house.
In the beginning we are introduced to Winnie and Nigel. They have this seemingly perfect life, but do they? We are then led down this rabbit hole of secrets and betrayal. Trust me at first you will be scratching your head trying to figure out how Juno fits in with this family. As the story progresses be prepared to have your mind blown. It was a thrilling ride right up to the very end. You keep wanting to know how this turns out. What is Juno’s end game? Will Winnie and Nigel ever figure it out? I highly recommend this book!

Fisher follows up her Best-seller the Wives with this title. Juno Holland is a homeless woman, but has a background that unfolds throughout the book. No longer living in the park or on the street, Juno lives in the crawl space under Winnie and Nigel Crouch’s home. She ventures out during the day to bath, eat their food, take the clothes the Crouch’s are going to donate. Juno was a psychologist and from her training, she believes Winnie has taken the son of a homeless teenager many years earlier. She believes that Winnie has raised Sam as her own child and that Nigel has gone along with the deception. Going to the library she researches and finds what she believes to be the child’s true grandmother. Layer on top of this plot the story of Winnie’s dysfunctional family. Her brother Dakota has been kicked out of his home by his wife. The family takes Dakota in, always taking his side of the story. But, the family is wrong about Dakota. Not to be a spoiler, but things come to a head when both plots intersect. This book is dark, twisted and just what a thriller should be.

Again, in true Fisher style, The Wrong Family will have you turning pages as fast as you can read and truly guessing until the very end. Then Fisher leaves you stunned as you read the very last line of the entire book. A true thriller full of fucked up character after fucked up character. A must read for any fan of the genre.

This was a really twisted thriller but honestly I wouldn’t expect anything less from this author. It started off not so much slow, but I was just confused. It almost sounded like she was being kept there because she was hiding from the couple. It was dark, convoluted, and had the classic twisted characters where you don’t know who’s telling the truth. I’d highly recommend this book! Thank you to netgalley and the publisher for this ARC.

This is the first Tarryn Fisher book I have read and I am hooked! I literally read THE WRONG FAMILY in one day. Loved the suspense, the characters, and the setting. I could not put this down. I am going to go back and read THE WIVES now. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the advanced copy. I cannot wait to see what Fisher writes next!

Juno Hasn’t got long to live, so moving in with Winnie and Nigel Crouch and their son seems like a wonderful idea. They seem to be like the perfect family, and this way Juno can spend the rest of her time in relative comfort. After moving in, however, Jino discovers that the Crouch family isn’t so perfect after all, and when she overhears a conversation between them, her blood freezes. She’s flabbergasted at what she’s heard, but Juno can’t tell anyone because she has her own dark secret. Fisher will have you wondering which way is up in this twisted thriller
