Darling illustrations enhance the simple text based on 1 Corinthians 13 1. Young children will enjoy the pattern found in "Love is...". Although there are few words, parents and children will be able to talk about how each illustration show an example of love.

This book is filled with pictures that beautifully and colorfully illustrate the text. Though basic, the text is profound and biblical, and the illustrations will bring its meaning to life. The book is best for PreK through about grade 1. I highly recommend for younger audiences.

What a sweet, lovely little book. The beautiful illustrations and familiar text tell a story beyond the words alone. I can imagine many young children who would enjoy this touching look at love. .

Wahhh, the last thing I ever want to do is give negative feedback for a children's book. Children's books are one of the biggest blessings of my entire life though, and I guess from reading thousands of them to my children I am fairly opinionated in what works and what doesn't. Love unfortunately is not one that I would reread, buy or gift. The illustrations do not match the words and I honestly found them confusing. If I read this to my kids, they would be confused.

Cute story using 1 Corinthians 13 to explain a parent's love for their child. The illustrations are beautiful and the story is appropriate for toddlers and preschoolers.
Thank you Net Galley for the opportunity to review this book for my honest opinion.

This book just made me cry the whole time. It has illustrations based on the love described in the Bible, and I loved all of it. This is a heartwarming book with beautiful illustrations of animals.

I love the concept of this book and I think it's a really good and simple way to discuss 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 with children as they start their walk with God and also to discuss the importance of love. It's a really beautiful story.

This is a children's picture book that would be suitable for a baby or toddler so that they can learn about love and kindness. The book has lovely text and illustrations about 2 owls who are loving and kind to each other. My daughter and I enjoyed this book very much.

Many thanks to the author, publisher and netgalley for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

The book doesn’t use kid friendly vocabulary - “bears all hardships.” If the author edited it to be more kid friendly, the book would be great. It might be a good book for families to read together.

**I received an e-ARC from NetGalley for an honest review**

Reminds me of the books from Sunday School classes in the 1990s.
Nice illustrations, but a little busy on the page at times.
I think a different illustration on "Love is generous"- sticking a live worm on a hook to go fishing seems a little odd of a choice for a children's book when there were many other options for generosity.
It's a nice book, one that would be great to give at a baby shower or similar event.

What a great cute and adorable book for child. Seriously I read this with my niece she's 3 years old and she thought the pictures were adorable. Each one she kept pointing out the animals and she even tried to sound out some of the words with me as I pointed to them. Will definitely be purchasing this book for her. What a great message!

I received an electronic ARC from Casey Rivlov Books through NetGalley.
Rislov takes young readers through I Corinthians 4 verses to show how special love is. The illustrations are charming and show this owl family enjoying life together. This is a sweet book that would make a great baby shower gift for Christian friends.

"Love" by Casey Rislov is a retelling of the famous bible passage from Corinthians that is used commonly at weddings. "Love is Patient, Love is Kind." The book uses the passage and then rewords it to make it more accessible for young readers. The illustrations are beautiful and although the book is short, it is sweet and a great read for families. I would recommend this one to families with very young kids or new readers.

Love is a very cute Children’s book about love. Each page describes love in a short, simple sentence.

Rachael Balsaitis did an excellent job with the illustrations. They are very colorful and really add to the book.

Thank you NetGalley and Casey Rislov Books for Love.

What a sweet book! All about Love, this book has beautiful illustrations and simple but meaningful text to convey the meaning of love, as found in 1st Corinthians 13. The illustrations followed owls as they went about their days in a beautiful woods. The book made me take a deep breath and remember all the good and beautiful things in the world.

Would be a great book for a baby shower, to read around Valentine's Day, or to have on your shelf to read whenever your child needs a hug from a book.

Thanks to #Netgalley for my digital ARC of #Love

Translating a simple and famous verse into an illustrated book for young readers, Casey Rislov amplifies a timeless description of love. In this adaptation of 1 Corinthians 13:4-8, the phrases of the original verse are paired with stunning, neutral-toned illustrations full of enough detail to encourage lingering on every page.

Particularly impressive is the way Rachael Balsaitis’s illustrations highlight the activity present in the original verses; love is many things, but it also does just as much. Her images each depict anthropomorphized owls doing something together: playing hide-and-seek, reading, flying kites. Love, both in life and in this book, isn’t passive. It’s active. Although the individual images are in many ways divorced from the text, a potentially jarring distraction emphasized by the strange text-image borders, the overall message of the text and images still complement each other beautifully.
