Making the Switch Kinklink, Book Two by Tara Eldana

This is not my usual type of read though there is a very good underlying story following the unfolding relationship between Ryan and Kristin.

A book that has a reasonable amount of steamy content and not for the faint hearted as verges on x rated in points.

There are .any twists in the story which is a fast read keeps your interest TIL the end.

This is was a new author for me and I have to say I enjoyed the book. I will be adding this author to my list to follow and will be reading more from her. It was well written, the scenes flowed smoothly, and it was a very entertaining book. I loved all the characters and with the author’s style of writing you could feel their emotions and it was so easy to connect with them.

This was a decent addition to the erotica genre. It was well-written and the characters were fleshed out (no pun intended), unlike some erotica which doesn't really have a strong plot, I found that this one did. If you can't get enough of this genre, I would definitely suggest this book for you!

Making the Switch by Tara Eldana was a quick read but an interesting one. It gives you a glimpse into the world of BDSM. Kristen and Ryan are attracted to each other but don’t really know what to do about it as her best friend is now married to his twin brother. Hmm, could get interesting and that’s exactly what happens. To find out, and if you like this type of book, I would recommend you check this book out. It was interesting enough to me that I went and got the first book in the series to get a little more background on what was between all the main characters. It was worth it.
Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for an ARC of this book for an honest opinion.

This is the second book in the kinklink series. Kristen and Ryan. They both think they're dominant. They want to see each other. They have to figure out how to make this work. Ryan was left out when Jessa chose to be with his twin brother, Reece. Kristin never knew her father. When she finds out who he is, she's no longer safe. This is an interesting and enjoyable book. We have Kristin and Ryan trying to navigate a complicated relationship, with the ghosts of his past in their way. But there's suspense and mystery when her father enters her life, issues that coincidentally overlap into Ryan and Reece's security business.

I enjoyed this book but a lot of characters were introduced and it got a little muddled. Overall I enjoyed the book.

Making the Switch is told from two points of view, Kristin and Ryan. Both characters are dominant, yet their chemistry is so intense,
This book had potential, but there were so many things I don't think I fully understood. The side plot was not fully developed and was a source of confusion for me.
Overall it wasnt bad.

Very boring and uninspired could not even finish. Would not recommend. It jedt fell flat with me in both its writing and character development.

An interesting story that has Kirsten Meadows finding her lovers at the Kink Link sex club. She is also Dom. This one night while sitting at the bar and looking over her prospects she notices that a man who is normally wearing a Dom bracelet is wearing a sub bracelet this night. They go to a room and slowly begin. The man is also the brother of her best friends’ husband and at one time the three of them were all together. When he is asked to go to the stage to help his brother, she leaves not wanting to see the concentration that is using with her best friend.
When he realizes what he has done he goes to find her and tries to explain what was going on. She accepts his answers and then the two of them come up with this idea of switch between Dom and Sub while they are together. This is good for them but within the story, Ryan still acts like the Dom all of the time, even out of the club. Giving her a collar, he also continues to say things that make her feel insecure even after they find out that her father is a well-known criminal and the person that works for his company was or is the one giving him information. Yet he still tells her I don’t love you this was all a game. Really? That is what you are going to tell the woman you love because you are wanting to protect her. Throughout the whole story, all he proved was he could not at least that is what I got yet he still wanted to tell her what to do. That is what confused me. Then he uses his hacker to find her. Ryan at times frustrated me as a character and I felt like he was trying to fix or save everyone but was not looking at himself. Maybe just me.
The overall story was okay and the sex scenes were hot and the characters were good. For me just a good read.

This review is not going to be long. I am not a huge fan of a review rehashing the entire plot and spoiling it for everyone.

This is the first book of Tara Eldana that I have read. It is an amazing read. This book has it all, intrigue, humor, action, and of course steamy romance. I am going to read more of her books.

I received an ARC of this book to read through NetGalley in exchange for a fair review. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I received an advance reader copy for honest feedback.

The plot was all over the place. It took forever to figure out what was going on with the main characters, Ryan and Kristen. Through out the books, characters names changed (David / Hack), characters were introduced that did not move the plot along (Kristen's father) and many characters were did not reach their potential in this book. It was nice to see Ryan and Kristen find love at the end of the book though.

Sparks fly between Ryan and Kristen but neither is a true sub or Dom, can they find a way to make it work? Her father has also come back in her life and she isn’t to happy about it, could she be in danger because of it? Fast-paced read with loads of steam with a large group of characters. I liked it.

This wasn’t really my cup of tea. I couldn’t relate to the characters and I kind of felt like the story was a little predictable to me.

Kristin normally considers herself a domme. However, the man she has the hots for—her best friend’s brother-in-law is also a dom. She wants him to switch for her, but he also wants her to do the same for him.

This book had potential, but there were so many things wrong with it that I am only giving this a half star. First, the plot is all over the place. At one point, Kristin’s birth father enters the picture adding some type of danger to her life, though it is never fully explained and concluded a bit too cleanly (i.e., the “oh it’s no longer there any more so don’t worry”). Then, the sex is so poorly written that it was painful to read. A lot of it had to do with the next issue…

Namely, the person who edited it should be fired. There were quite a few continuity issues (e.g., does she live on the 7th or 10th floor?) that were annoying, but the biggest issue was there were so many basic grammatical errors it is not even funny. For example, you just do not put the dialogue of two people in the same paragraph. I could not tell who was speaking half of the time! I’m not an English teacher but the errors I came across had me cringing, “how the hell did this get through proofreading?”

There are much better BDSM romances out there. Avoid this one.

Thank you to NetGalley for the free copy of this book in return for an honest review.

Good read , keeps your attention mostly , and in parts quite enjoyable.

The characters were good , especially the two lead characters.
Bits of it left me uncomfortable, others a little bored.
The majority was good but I’m not a big fan , sorry

I downloaded the book on a whim from Netgally , Thankyou to them .
I received an Arc copy of this book and chose to post this review

Started with a good story line but sorry to say half way through I gave up reading.

The details in the continuous descriptive dialogue were not correct. Example, the lift ascending narration, lived on tenth floor, got off at seventh then talking about tenth again.

Some sentences had incorrect wording, with either missing words or letters, also some story scene descriptives were repeatedly used in different paragraphs throughout the story as though it had not been proofed and edited correctly.

I have never commented in this way and it pains me to do so, but feel that I cannot review this without, in all fairness saying what I truthfully think. This is after all what a NetGalley member is supposed to do.

This book really gripped me in the beginning. I love the main female character and I think the chemistry between her and the main male character was smoldering hot!
There are a few typos but that’s to be expected with an arc.
However what really turned me off was him taking his Dom persona way too far before there was any talk about them having a stricter power dynamic. . He may be a Dom but that kind of behavior to me, isn’t cute. At all.
That being said, I’d love to explore and read more from this author! I’m sad that this book just didn’t hit the mark for me.

The concept is interesting, and I can definitely see why people would want to read this book. Unfortunately, the story was not for me. I did not like the main female character and therefore, I couldn't root for her.

I didn't love this book, but I did enjoy aspects of it. The characters exploring how they fit into one anothers lives, in and out of the bedroom, was really interesting and the book could have focused most of its attention on that. Dialogue with the characters was sort of strange at times, and inconsistent. An example would be that Ryan is the more experienced partner, having been on both sides of the sexual lifestyle they enjoy. Yet he acts brand new to being with her in this way, and it just made me cringe away from their interactions where she was the domme. They also broke and flaunted the rules of the club they attend, which is a big no-no. I just didn't believe them together, but I had hoped that was purposeful (since they were exploring together) and that by the end they would figure it out. I thought maybe this book is going to show the awkwardness that is there when being intimate with a new partner, and have it become more familiar and "safe" feeling as time goes on, even when they are trying new things. But this whole subplot of a bad guy chasing after her was thrown in to try and force them to be together romantically instead of just physically intimate and I felt like it was so contrived. Ex-lovers turned evil, coworker gone rogue, mysterious dad - we don't need any of it. Just focus on how the characters are feeling about one another emotionally each time after they are intimate and how it changes over time. If she really wanted to add some action element, it should have been built from the get-go. Hint that Ryan has a dangerous job, or that she's hiding from a dangerous dad. Give us something to work with rather than just throw them into this "danger" situation involving far too many characters we don't actually know or care about.

Thoroughly enjoyable! Great story, with a lot of little twists and turns. Sexy times and romance. All elements necessary for a mustvread book!
