Plan a Happy Life is a workbook for living. Stephanie Fleming guides you step by step through planning and finding your happy life. She has created an amazing company and products for organizing daily events. I found Happy Planners at the beginning of the pandemic. Having the planners and book helped to guide me through the difficult times.

Plan a Happy Life is more of a basic self help book than anything practical with regards to planning and organising your life. It focuses on the usual things gratitude, loving yourself and positivity. Even though there are some spaces for adding your own goals and other personal prompts, it is not in depth or instructional. You could tell it was a spin off from a website and I got the feeling that you were being directed to it. I did find all the photographs of the smiley faced author in various poses a bit annoying, and a little pointless. That said it would make a good starting point for young people just starting out in life and trying to begin on a positive and confident footing.

I love Happy Life yearly calendars and was excited to see what this is. With how tough the last year has been with the Pandemic, I think this is a wonderful resource to help us to focus on the positive things happening within our own lives. Highly recommend to anyone who needs a pick-me-up.

As someone who used Happy Planner materials in the past, I was thinking that this book would include actual instructions on how to transfer what you want out of life into actual plans within your Happy Planner.

I was a bit confused about the author and how she promoted herself in connection with the company after she publicly stated that she was cutting ties on her social media platform. Therefore this book could be a bit confusing to the reader. Stephanie's views are not necessarily shared with the Happy Planner brand now so it makes this book seem a tad outdated.

If you are into journaling and processing your thoughts this may be a book for you. But if you are looking for a how to instead of a self help - this isn't the book that you are looking for.

This was a cute, fun and inspirational book. Nothing too deep or life-changing, but a good read nonetheless. I would have liked if it had more design/illustrations than all the pictures with people, because it would have made it feel more geared towards the reader, but that's just a preference. I liked that the book had things to fill out right when something was being discussed. It gave it a bit of a workbook feel, which was really nice. It was a little too long in my opinion, especially if you read it all in one go, because it gets repetitive. I would recommend spacing out your reading over several days.

Plan a Happy Life details tips and tricks for creating the life you want through intentional planning and tapping into creativity. Written by Stephanie Fleming, the creator of the Happy Planner product line, the book contains great tips, graphics, quotes, prompts, and exercises.

Fleming acknowledges at the top of this book that her aim is not to give one-size-fits-all specific tips, but to create frameworks to help individuals achieve the happiness or success they want on their own terms. This felt genuine and upfront.

I really enjoyed this book! Which is no surprise considering I am a big fan of the products released by the company. It was nice getting a bit more of a peak behind the brand to see what kind of tips Fleming had for her audience. The product line is inspirational and fun, but this book provides even more guidance centred around planning to cultivate a happier life on your own terms.

Thank you to the publisher and to NetGalley for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Rounded up to three stars. I had hoped for something that was more like an actual planner but this is more of a self help book. It focuses on the standard things for the most part -- optimism, gratitude, self love, etc. There is a focus on planning for your goals and for happiness and there are spaces in the book to write things like three goals or what you like about yourself. It's also filled with lots of photos of the author and lots of bright pages with cheerful "you got this!" kind of signs.

I read a temporary digital ARC of this book for review.

From the maker of the happy planner, as expected a very practical guide to planning a happy life. I will try to incorporate the ideas into my daily life. It's a guide, so you have to put in the amount of effort to make it happen. Happiness depends on you.
