This book is so cute. Such a great start for people who are beginning embroidery. Unlike many embroidery books I found the instructions much clearer, each with a little drawing of what each stitch is and what it's supposed to look like. I'm a very visual person And the book is very visual. I can't wait to get started on trying to do the fox! I mean literally it has all of the cute animals. 🤣
This book gives you everything you need to start making some real cute things. not only does it give you clear vision of stitches and a clear explanation of what you need to do, it also gives you a pattern for each and every animal so that you can easily transfer the pattern (They tell you how) on to your fabric and just get going. I love embroidery and I've always wanted to get involved with it more and this book is going to be the perfect Segway for me and I'm really excited! I think it's good for beginners like me and also still has a lot of value to those who have been doing it for a long time.

This book is perfect for anyone who enjoys Embroidery. I am one of those people. The things that make this book special are the Beautiful and Bold Color Pictures. Those are nice to see. Next, this is animal embroidery, but had many different patterns that are adorable such as The Hedgehog, Llamas, Deer, and the newest popular insect, The Honey Bee. The Honey Bee was my favorite, as they are reducing in population and it is good we are all concerned about them. Plus, my brother maintains Honey Bee Hives.
I am relatively new to embroidery, having mostly done cross stitch before, so the clear explanations on how to properly use Transfer Paper was quite helpful.
So, this is a Beautiful Book! Excellent to Treat Yourself or Give as a Gift to An Embroidery Friend for the Holidays! I would Recommend the Actual Book Over Digital. I find the Book better then Digital for Stitching Art.

This book does an excellent job of describing the basic of embroidery, as well as giving projects that can suit a wide range of experience. The projects start off with basic line embroidery and slowly transitions to projects that are extremely detailed and life like. This book is great from anyone who loves animals and want to learn a new craft. The elephant and the sloth designs are my absolute favorites.

This book had some really beautiful artwork in it. The animal embroidery was fantastic! The book includes embroidery basics as well as detailed instructions on how to create them.
In the digital arc I reviewed (thanks Netgalley!) the pictures were very poorly cropped, I hope this is remedied before the print issue.

This book is fantastic for beginners or more seasoned embroiderers. I loved the detailed descriptions and pictures to guide the reader through the projects. The patterns are adorable and very modern looking/on trend. .The one negative is that I cannot find the patterns to use on the kindle format...I'm hoping this is an oversight that is fixed before publication. Overall, it is a really great book though to make some super cute and creative pieces!

Lots of super cute projects! Instructions seem pretty simply explained and I can't wait to make some of these!

This book is great for anyone interested in embroidery. It has patterns starting with beginner all the way to more advanced. It has the actual patterns in the back to use as a stencil in addition to a how to do each stitch. Very cute animals, and I like that it gives ideas on how to actually use the patterns for example like as a denim patch, etc.

Easily one of my top five embroidery books. Each pattern is fun and usable, which is rare in embroidery because some patterns feel like filler. Not here! Borders are easily separable from the animal, so you can adapt them to lettering or make your own centerpiece. Highly recommend!

This book provides wonderful insight on a tedious hobby. One thing that I was grateful for was the author making sure to point out information that is important in special boxes. The pictures that detail what the basic stitches look like are very clear. I believe that this book can give one enough foundational knowledge to create their own patterns with different combinations of stitches, The pattern difficulties range from 'never threaded a needle before' to 'Master of the needle.'

I loved this book! The instructions are very clear, and the patterns progressed im difficulty so it’s easy to grow im embroidery skills for a beginner while also being very interested for the advanced stitcher. But above all, I love the cute animals, they are very modern and hip, not dull or old fashioned at all, and there are so many patterns I want to stitch it’ll be difficult to choose.

This is a stellar embroidery book for beginners and up. The diagrams for the different stitches are colorful and easy to follow. The photos of the completed work are gorgeous, and the patterns included in the back are nice and big for tracing. I just can't wait to stitch that cute little hedgehog! This is one of the best needlecraft books I have seen lately!

There’s no way in hell I’ll ever be this good at embroidery, but it is lovely to look and see how beautiful someone else’s embroidery could be! I wish I could embroider a happy tabby and a fennec fox and a cute little sloth….

While I had some trouble with the layout on both the NetGalley and Kindle apps (image display on the Kindle and aspect ratio on the other), between the two of them I was able to appreciate this book and conclude that I would love to have a hard copy of it for sure. I have been sewing for years upon years and doing cross-stitch for even longer, but embroidery is not something I have had the occasion to try yet, and the instructions here are thorough enough for a visual learner such as myself that I think I could really get into it with their help.

I cant wait to try some of these crafts with my needle work group. The instruction in the book on the different stiches was easy to follow . I also like the picture of the finish product. A must have book to have in any embroidery collection.

What a fun book especially for those who are beginners! Filled with great tips, techniques, patterns & inspiration for projects this is a great book to have as a part of your collection. I really liked how they included step by step instructions on multiple stitches which for a beginner like myself is super helpful in getting better at this hobby. Also there are so many cute patterns that you'll want to try that this book offered. This would make a great gift especially with the holidays and winter coming soon.

This book is a perfect introduction to embroidery with some very cute ideas for inspiration. The types of stitches are laid out very clearly with pictures of each step so I feel very confident in knowing what I am supposed to be doing. The photographs are beautiful and the instructions are simple and seem easy to follow. The projects all look great and I cannot wait to try some out!

Love this book!! This book has some of the cutest embroidery ideas and I cannot wait to try them all!

This book is perfect for anyone starting down the path of embroidery painting. The pictures are clear and effective, as are the directions. The author has organized the chapters and larger parts into sequential step-by-step considerations for getting started. At the end are helpful patterns for easy tracing. Even without creating the projects in this book, it is helpful for transferring skills to your own project.

Pre release copy.
I don't like how this book displays in kindle app I don't know if that's normal or because this is a pre release copy, pages are split and it's hard to follow.
The book itself, I like how the author has blended classic with modern to create some interesting creatures and embroidery projects. I would like to read this book in hard copy, and will be keeping my eye out for it.

When I saw this book on Netgalley I just couldn’t resist. Jessica Long was one of the first artists I followed when I entered the embroidery world. Her designs are beautiful and her tutorials have helped me learn and practice stitches. In this book, we can see step-by-step instructions to create gorgeous embroidery pieces that are focused on animals. From simple designs to most complex ones, Jessica takes you in a lovely journey through Animal Embroidery. I started with something small and tried just the Hummingbird and Hibiscus pattern (although I have just finished the hummingbird) but I want to try them all!
Definitely a must-read if you love embroidery and want to create cute animal designs.
