I received a copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review. Thank you NetGalley!

The cover of this book is simple but eye-catching.
The book was fabulous for my pre-teen whom has anxiety and depression. It was helpful and kept her attention.

I'd definitely purchase a copy and check out other books by the author.

Inspirational book for working with teens, helping teens deal with stress and anxiety, what mindfulness is, mindfulness exercises to use with teens, and a workbook journal for teens to fill out for reflection. Highly recommended for everyone working with and/or raising teenagers.

*I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced reader's copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Thank you to Netgalley and Rockridge Press for this ARC*

As an Outpatient Therapist, I was very excited to get a chance to read an ARC of this book. I'm always looking for workbooks with good activities and easy to understand information go share with my clients and their parents. Mindfulness Workbook for Teens definitely met that criteria. My initial impression was that I liked the graphics, which felt inclusive and fun. I like that the author referenced her experience in terms of how she came to teach these skills. The workbook does a good job of explaining what mindfulness is and isn't as well as the structure of the brain and its functions. There is also useful information regarding feelings identification, which I always work on with my clients because of their limited emotional vocabulary and understanding of how these emotions feel in the body when being experienced. The workbook includes areas for the user to be able to write in their reflective responses. Overall, I would recommend this book to anyone wanting to support their teen in understanding and building mindfulness skills.

Not the easiest book to have in a library, but an amazing book. I loved the exercises and background for them. I want a copy for me. Great way to help teens be more mindful and aware
