This is a Dash diet cookbook for cooking for two people. Thought it did a good job of laying out what should be on your plate. Looking forward to trying some of these recipes.

So I’m not on a dash diet but I like to see various recipes from all kinds of diets to see which I would like regardless. Keeps life interesting and my food plate. Honestly though in this book I only saw two recipes that I would bring to my table.

What did I like? You never know when a doctor will want you to lower blood pressure so it’s interesting to see what’s on a low salt diet. I loved the quinoa pepper recipe, and the custard recipe... but all the rest...nope. I like the fact the recipes are for two and less waste.

Would I buy or recommend? I wouldn’t buy a copy but I recommend for people needing to lower there salt. The recipes also claim health benefits towards cardiovascular and stroke diseases. Wealth of information for someone looking into the dash diet. Maybe I would have liked more recipes if there had been more pictures.

I received a copy to read and voluntarily left a review.

I am not on the DASH diet but eating healthy is always on my mind. This book really lays out what should be on your plate. What types of lean proteins, whole grains, dairy, veggies and fruits. What drew me to this book was the "for Two" in the title. Being in a 2 person household this book is a lovely thing. It's a real challenge to find recipes for two people that don't leave you with tons of leftovers. Who wants to eat the same thing three times a week??? Not this girl!

There are so many recipes in this book. There are a lot of One-Pot meals, which I love! This recipe book is a guide to making healthy meals quick and easy for two. The book could use more photos as I feel like everyone loves a little eye candy.

This cookbook is a keeper! The recipes are easy to make and follow. There is no wasted food either. The recipes are tasty too! I love that this is not a diet but a way of living. The author recommends following 80% of the time. This is doable!

I am not on the DASH diet, but I do like to live a healthy lifestyle and these recipes fit the bill! I really liked that the recipes are created for two people, so there is less of a chance for leftovers…..I’m not a big fan!! Every recipe I read seemed easy to follow and called for ingredients that I already had on hand which means I can use the recipes in this cookbook on short notice. With a hectic schedule, that is super convenient!

There is a chapter of the book that explains the DASH Diet and its benefits to your health. I found this chapter interesting and a nice reminder that I am not only eating healthy foods because they taste good, but also because they are good for me!!

The only recipe I had time to make before reviewing was the Chewy Oatmeal Cookies. They were delicious and only lasted a few hours in my house!! I’d say that’s a WIN!

The recipes are organized by meals which includes breakfast, lunch, snack, meatless mains, fish and seafood, poultry, pork and beef, sides, and desserts. I also was happy to see that each recipe list possible substitutions that would work for a vegan lifestyle if that’s what you have chosen. I have friends that are vegan and I have recommended this book to them!

Thank you NetGalley and Callisto Media for an ARC of this cookbook in exchange for my review.

There's a lot to like about this DASH cookbook! The recipes are uncomplicated but well-rounded and full of flavor. I particularly like that one can prepare a simple meal or compose a full-blown holiday dinner by combining several of the recipes around a preferred ingredient or central theme. The book isn't overly front-loaded with a ton of instruction about the DASH Diet (I don't mind that it assumes some knowledge by the user). Whether or not the cook follows DASH faithfully, there is enough variety here to make low-calorie, low-fat, healthy dishes that I'll be adding to my meal plan. Thanks to Rosanne Rust for a great DASH resource that I know will be used often!

I'm always looking for new and healthy recipes to make, so of course I jumped at the chance to read and review this book. While my health isn't something that worries me, who doesn't want to be a little bit healthier?

While I've seen a lot of the recipes before, there were definitely some new ones I can't wait to try out. There are some twists on some old favorites.

The photos that were included were nice, but I think more photos would have made the book more appealing. Most people I know tend to flip through a cookbook for photos first, recipes second.

Overall, definitely some great recipes to be found here. I would recommend it for anyone trying to eat a little bit healthier in their lives (after they check with their doctors of course!)

DASH (Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension) is less about dieting and more about adapting to a healthier way of eating. It is proven to help control blood pressure. Several years ago, due to high blood pressure and high cholesterol, I adopted this method of eating. And without a doubt, I can tell you that it works. All of my numbers dropped, along with my weight. I felt better. So, I am always on the lookout for a book that contains great recipes to try. This book does not disappoint. One of the things that I really liked about this book is that the recipes are for smaller portions, thereby helping to eliminate waste. The recipes are easy to follow, use a small number of ingredients and also provides a list of pantry and freezer items to keep on hand. If you are exploring the DASH lifestyle or just looking for some good recipes, start here. Thank you to NetGalley, the author and publisher for the opportunity to review this book.

When I first started looking at this cookbook, I thought it wouldn't be foods that I liked. Then I started actually looking at the recipes and there are a lot that I would like live to make. Healthy and tasty recipes. What a great combo.
I read this as an arc copy from Netgalley

I found out a year ago that I had high blood pressure. So I am familiar with the DASH diet both from my doctor and from having read about it for several years since I try to eat healthier and have followed the Paleo and Mediterranean meal plans off and on. After reading through the recipes in this book, I appreciate that the items used are healthy, preservative free for the most part, low in salt and sugar. The original Dash diet used many artificial sweeteners and foods that contained preservatives in the recipes. Overall, these are very healthy recipes that can be used by anyone with that goal in mind. My only complaint is that this could have used a lot more photos of the foods to entice a reader to try them.
Thank you to netgalley and the publisher for. a free copy of this book in exchange for my review.
