Everyday Resilience is a simple yet incredible compendium of positive psychology, mindfulness and mindsets to help us cope better, become more resilient and reframe our perceptions to live happier, healthier lives. If you are looking to improve your well-being or if you work with those seeking to increase their wellbeing, as I do, this is an excellent book to add to your shelf. Everyday Resilience is comfortably paced, educational without being overwhelming and practical. Five stars.

For everyone who wishes to better cope with the daily ups and downs of life, this book is a welcome resource.  The author expresses a strong belief that each of us can cultivate that ability to cope with what life sends our way.  In this helpful guide, she offers explanations, strategies and case examples in a readable voice.

The components of resilience are explored in the chapters that follow.  These skills include perseverance, self-regulation, positivity, and self-care.

The author of this title is a good guide who writes with authenticity.  She is open about the "bruises" that she faced in her own childhood.  Doctor Gazelle also has professional experience that adds credibility.  She worked for many years with hospice patients and later became a coach to other physicians.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this helpful title.  All opinions are my own.

Everyday Resilience is written by a physician and Harvard faculty member, Gail Gazelle. It is a brief, yet valuable read on learning about resilience and the components that are critical to being a resilient individual such as flexibility, perseverance, and more. One of the components that I never considered, but is now clear after this book, is connection with others. This was insightful and something I think has become even more obvious during COVID-19 and the book provides helpful exercises that help create connection. In addition, there are valuable exercises throughout the book that ask reflection questions which are very helpful for the reader. This book is clear, provides a variety of anecdotes, and is important. I highly recommend this book!

Many thanks to the publisher Callisto Media and Netgalley for the ARC in return for an honest review.
