I didn't realize this was part of a series when I started reading it, so I feel that there is quite a bit of back story that I missed out on. This book was okay, but the last few years I've slowly moved away from this genre because I've read too many books just like this one. Overall, the book was good, I just don't enjoy this genre as much as I used to.

This is the seventh book in the Brides of Prophecy series. It is the story of Delgarias Dullahan, known to vampire society as the Thirteenth Elder first vampire in creation, the mages know him as an immortal high sorcerer and the Keeper of the Prophecy. He has been searching for his lost love for 2,000 years. Nikkita Leonine has been secretly in and out of his life throughout those years, but he knew her as a vigilante who has been dropping rogue vampires on his doorstep.
Now Del and Nikkita must come together to work towards stopping Mephistopheles and his cult followers. Through the book they work through the many issues that they have from being separated for over 2,000 years. The book is action packed and has good dialogue between the characters. The other characters from the Brides of Prophecy play a major role in this book. It is always fun to be reintroduced to characters and to see how their lives are progressing.
The book is well written and I would recommend it to people who have enjoyed reading Dianne Duvall’s Immortal Guardians series or the Dark Protector series by Rebecca Zanetti.
I was provided a copy of this book by NetGalley for an honest review.

Yep, I jumped into this series with this book - old habits and all -
That being said I found it easy to fall into the storyline and had a pretty strong grasp as to what was happening after only a few chapters -
Says a lot about this author's ability to weave a tale
From what I can gather each new release spotlights a particular couple while still carrying the overall series storyline
This has been added to my must-read list of paranormal series
The universe that the author presented in this series was well detailed and truly enchanting
The characters were vivid and so easy to love or loathe - some even had me teetering on the fence still not sure how I truly felt about them
This is a second chance romance with an easy to follow storyline- plenty of action and suspense - betrayal - subterfuge and a whole lot of melt your heart romance
I am looking forward to reading the series in its entirety

3.0-3.5 stars

Reclaiming the Magic is the 7th book in the Brides of Prophecy series by Brooklyn Ann. I'm a little late to the show here, being that this was my first, so I feel I did miss a lot of the backstory. But, never fear! I have grabbed the first in the series and I'm going to have some serious time with the author's backlog and catch up, in the correct order.

I really enjoyed the book but I'm not a super huge fan of second chances plus the whole I didn't *really* know what was going on... hence, 3.0-3.5 stars out of 5.

Delgarias is the Thirteenth Elder, the first vampire in creation, an immortal high sorcerer, and the Keeper of the Prophecy. (So, ya know, super important guy). He, in his function as the 13th elder, is searching for a rogue that has eluded him for almost 2 centuries by catching bad vampires and dropping them practically on his doorstep to taunt him that all are not under his control. In his efforts to track and find this rogue he soon unearths that this rogue "Annarkie" is none other than his long lost love and estranged... wife. *gasp* Reclaiming the Magic follows the two back and forth over the past 2,000 years from their first meeting to where everything went all wrong- and then some.

I really enjoyed this book, here you get to know Delgaris and Nikita, this immortal world, and all the facets to it. I'm totally on the hook and am so going to read the beginning of the series before any more of these come out. I will be prepared!

i have not read the previous books in this series and I was not loss. That's always a huge bonus. The writing was enough that I wanted to read the previous books :) I really enjoyed the characters, they were fleshed out and real. Even if Luminate, Elfin, Vampire, you cared, My issue (and this is my issue) I just do not like books that go back and forth in time. They are a detriment to me. This is actually another kudos to Brooklyn Ann's writing, that I cared enough to keep on reading. There is laughter, anquish, war, romance, magic, mystery a well rounded paranormal that takes you into their world. Thank you for the arc NetGalley and Brooklyn Ann
