While the content was not overly dense and readable, the artwork left much to be desired. I'm hoping this is a problem unique to the ARC as the old fashioned "dot" style color work reduced the crispness of the lines and made many images muddy and difficult to view. Maybe this is a function of the "draft" quality of an ARC?

Words can't describe how much I like this book. I've gone ahead and ordered a copy because this is going to be a keeper for our family. I have the original book, Sapiens, but this graphic novel companion is a wonderful companion and engaging. The illustrations are fun and I love how the history of mankind is laid out using scientific discoveries. It is the first of what I assume will be two parts, and for visual learners, it is much more accessible. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys science and history.

The graphic novel adaptation of Yuval Noah Harari's "Sapiens" was a good overview of human prehistory with interesting illustrations. I can't wait to now read the actual book for more in-depth coverage of the topic.
