I liked reading this cookbook. I agree that it's a cookbook the health-conscious cook who wants super-affordable recipes. There were some recipes that I will try to make this summer when I have more free time. I would recommend this cookbook to those who are trying to cook at home more so they can eat better.

I appreciate this cookbook with cost breakdowns per meal plus also including a grocery list of what is needed for every week. This was a great cookbook to enjoy.

I love everything that is budget friendly. I love that this book includes the cost of the dish prepared. Well written and easy to follow. Worth reading if you're looking to make a drastic change with your budget.

This cookbook is a practical, family friendly approach to healthier eating. Williams is a popular weight loss influencer who eschews most grains, but approaches food in a simple, mostly kid-friendly manner.

INCREDIBLE RECIPES WITHIN A BUDGET?! WELL THEN, SIGN ME UP!
I love that "healthy + delicious" doesn't have to be expensive,

Extremely well done Brittany!

This had some interesting recipes and ones that I would most likely try but I can't recommend this book to patrons as it has some ridiculous claims about GMOs and organic food. I'm glad this strategy has worked for the author but the misinformation is too egregious.

This book could be a great go-to for any beginner cook. The products are easy to find and straightforward. I wouldn't necessarily call it an "instant loss" book, but it does offer a varied nutritional option for people who don't eat that many fruits and veggies and would like to have more in their everyday diet. Overall, good selection of recipes with plenty of choice and pretty pictures.

I have not followed Brittany Williams or tried her recipes before, so I was excited to read this book!

I loved the budget friendly approach. It is incredibly helpful to have a rough idea of what meals will cost to make I know this is going to vary from area to to area. However, it is at least helpful as a rough idea. Especially if your planning on a drastic life change. Some diet recipes and cookbooks in general have ridiculously expensive ingredients that are hard to find and you may only use once or twice if the diet (or recipe) isn't your thing after trying it.

I loved the personal story and felt it is well presented and the basic recipes are in an easy to follow manner.

I would have loved more pictures of the meals instead of random produce or other food items.

Also I do understand the author personally felt calorie and nutritional information didn't work for her but that is generally expected in a cookbook so I feel it should be added because the majority of cookers want that information and don't want to have to do self calculations. I did take a star off for this and if nutritional information is added later I will raise my review score.

Other then those few little qualms I found many recipes I will happily make. I enjoyed and do recommend this book for those looking to eat healthier and do it on a budget friendly plan.

I had never tried recipes from Brittany Williams before and I was excited to get my hands on this book!

The few that I have had a chance to try were very good!! I had all the ingredients available and the directions were easy to follow. I love my instant pot and will continue using the recipes from this book!

I could feel my relationship with food souring while reading this book. Full of fatphobia and misinformation, this one is a must-miss.

The introduction:
Hateful, fatphobic terms, unreasonable and unhealthy speed of weight loss, wild misinformation, it's got it all. The whole premise of this hinges on fat=unhealthy and that everyone who is fat is so because they eat too much food and the food they eat is processed or fast food. It's just not true. She also makes some ridiculous claims about GMOs and non-organic produce that were...untrue to put it politely. Then there was the section on baby food that was super shame-y even if she claims it's not.

The supplies:
Far too many specific product recs. It felt like a blog post full of affiliate links and made me wonder if she was getting some sort of kickback on sales. Also almost every recipe uses an electric pressure cooker including for things that don't make any sense!

The recipes:
Every recipe is gluten free which would be great if this was a gluten free cookbook. It's not, so telling people trying to do things on a budget they have to go out and buy specialty flours is...super annoying. The recipes are often overly complicated and most don't sound interesting at all. The pictures are pretty, but that's the best I can say. I won't be making any of these.

Overall: Save your time and money and skip this one. You'll be happier for it. If I could go back in time and not read this, I would.

Thank you to NetGalley and Houghton Mifflin Harcourt for providing me with an e-arc in exchange for an honest review.

This book is pretty good. I hadn't tried recipes from Brittany before and so I was nervous but excited. The several I tried were quite good. I love that there are recipes that appeal to all kinds of palettes - even my daughter who is the pickiest eater I know. The recipes were easy to follow and I highly recommend them. It was a good book and I'd recommend it to anyone who likes cooking with an instant pot and wants to get healthier.

The only thing I'd change is the recipes did not include calorie count. I am working on weight loss and I've chosen to manage my intake with calorie counting. That I had to figure this out for myself was a bit irritating given that it is a weight loss book.

What a great cookbook! I loved the budget approach to this. Some cookbooks have ridiculously expensive ingredients that you may only use one time. I thought that the material is well written and presented in an easy to follow manner. I look forward to trying out several of these recipes.

I've been a big fan of Brittany for a few years. She is an inspiration losing weight the not-so-easy way - through healthy diet and exercise. I appreciate her focus on budgets because we have a large family and it's not always the easiest to eat healthy for cheap.

If you loved the original Instant Loss Cookbook, then this one may be suitable for those who are trying to cook and eat healthier. The recipes are easy, and of course, suitable for the IP. They could also be suitable for other pressure cookers, but readers would have to be careful of cooking times.
