This was a fun book that I read for diversion from the business and self-help books that I usually read. The characters were fun and the adventure was captivating. This was an entertaining summer read that helped me to escape for a few minutes from the pressures of everyday life.

A big thank you to the author Dean Yurke, the publisher Golden Productions, and NetGalley for providing me an ARC in exchange for my candid opinion.

This is a great book for the younger middle school crowd. It is a story of unlikely heros, young boys who have been conscripted into the Viking army against their will and inclinations. They end up sailing across the sea in order to avenge the attack and decimation of their city and to rescue their captive King. Its heroes include young men and women and other unlikely heroes.

I thought that it was a great young teen read and really wished that I still had one at home to give it to.

Lassa the Viking and the Dragon’s Inferno by Dean Yurke is a Middle-grade adventure story about two young brothers in Vikings' battle.

Lassa looks nothing like the real Vikings. He is not taller than a bear, has no scars, and still has all of his own teeth.
Sven, Lassa’s brother is a terrible planer. Somehow in the middle of battle, He manages to change his brother to Lassa the Valiant.
"Lassa wasn’t a warrior he was a worrier."
General Gorn serves King Magnus’s Viking Army. While Lassa and Sven are trying to survive in his army, they become heroes and going on a dangerous mission.
On the other hand, Ann, princess of Ashby, daughter of His Majesty Harold, King of England, should rescue her sister and father. She goes for help and encounters the wrong army.

The witches, Dragons, Saxons, and Vikings are in a funny and creative story with a great start. All characters are interesting and easy to imagine. I love it.

Thanks to Golden Productions LLC and NetGalley for giving me the chance to read Lassa the Viking and the Dragon’s Inferno by Dean Yurke in exchange for an honest review.

I only read the first 17% of this book. That said I found it comedic and it made me smile. It just wasn't the right book for me right now and I figured it was better to review it now rather than waiting to read more.

A fun book!
I am an adult reading this book intended for middle grade readers. That being said , I enjoyed it. The story is about two young boys who are Vikings and end up on the battlefield and are trying to survive. The brothers, Lassa, the book reader, and Sven, who is more the athletic type, end up on a dangerous mission. One reviewer found the story childish but children are it’s intended audience. When my children were that age, I believe they would have enjoyed the book, as I did. Recommended for children. Happy reading!

this was a great start to a young adult series, the story was mature enough for teens and will kept younger children hooked on reading this.
