KWH writes about Southern lives of women primarily and set in South Carolina. Clean reading and pretty good especially sitting on the beach.
Under the Southern Sky is a heartwarming and compelling novel that will appeal to fans of contemporary romance, women’s fiction, and Southern fiction. The book has a lot of merit, as it offers a fresh and unforgettable perspective on love, family, and the ties that bind. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good story with memorable characters, emotional depth, and a dash of humor. This book is a perfect choice for a book club, as it will spark lively and meaningful discussions among readers. Under the Southern Sky is a book that will stay with you long after you finish it.
I have enjoyed all of the books by the author, Kristy Woodson Harvey. Her stories are always well written and I am drawn into the lives of the characters. The setting is one of my favorite … on the shores of North Carolina. This tale will deliver drama, love, sadness … a lot of emotions. And you will find yourself flipping through the pages quickly as you can’t wait to see how things will end. What a great book to read as you are curled up on the beach with the ocean breeze blowing and the waves crashing to the shore. You won’t go wrong getting lost in the story of Amelia, Greer, and Parker. An emotional read but one you won’t be able to put down until you’ve absorbed the last word and closed the cover with a sign.

Absolutely love every work of Kristy! every book i have read by her, including this one, has had so many loveable characters and bright and airy stories. this book was so beautiful and the perfect beach read, during the summer months. i hope that she continues to hit the mark with her novels, and cant wait to see what she comes up with next
Slow read, I was hoping for a more upbeat faster read. Overall, Good Story, may just take a while to get into the book for some.
Under the Souther Sky is the perfect summer read. Sipping some wine, down by the beach! I truly enjoyed this book. I loved all the characters. This book is a bundle of joy. Finding your happiness when you least expect it.
Loved this story about loss, moving forward and resilience. You can’t hang out in the past or you will miss what is happening in the present and what could be in the future.
Kristy Woodson Harvey is a must read and when I got granted access to the ARC, I was so excited! This story has a heavier tone that her other books I’ve read - it deals with cancer, death, infertility and divorce. It was a little slower for me to get into but once I got into this book’s “world,” I tore through it.
Under the Souther Sky is a story of second chance at love and at life.
It has everything I want in a story, family, love, laughter and an emotional rollercoaster that had me reaching for the tissues.
I usually love all of Kristy Woodson Harvey's books, but I just couldn't get into this one. I read to about 30% and then DNF. I won't leave a rating on any social media sites because I still love this author, but it just wasn't the right book for me at the time. I may go back and give it another go at another time.
Kristy Harvey does not disappoint, especially when tackling difficult subjects. In this case, the author crafts a story around embryos and conception, set in my favorite state of North Carolina. Even if you have never experienced childbirth or issues with conceiving, you will appreciate all the emotions and characters in this wonderful story.
This book was great! I have always been a fan of Kristy Woodson Harvey's books! I enjoyed the story of Amelia and how her life changed. I'm a believer in fate and that all things happen for a reason and that all things happen as they should. This was a really good story.

A solid 4+ stars. Great story, kind, likable, “good” characters and honest emotions. This is an escape read for sure. Smooth flowing writing let’s the reader jump right in and follow along. Ms. Harvey is definitely on my list now for pleasant fast and heartwarming reads.
This is a Southern Women's Fiction/Chick-Lit. I loved this title, and the cover is so pretty. This is not a light Chick-Lit or Women's Fiction, but it was a really good book. I really enjoying this book so much. There was points of this book I found that moved to slow or was boring, but those part where really short and I got through those part super fast. I love the parts the characters where in North Carolina mostly because I have always lived in North Carolina. This book covers some hard hitting topics, but it is done so will. This book as a ton of twists and turns, and I did not see any of them coming. This is everything I want in a Southern Women's Fiction book. I will say the storyline/plot runs this book the characters does not, but it works so well. I was kindly provided an e-copy of this book by the publisher (Gallery Books) or author (Kristy Woodson Harvey) via NetGalley, so I can give honest review about how I feel about this book. I want to send a big Thank you to them for that.
I was in a bit of a reading slump and this was just the book to get me out of it.
I really enjoyed this one! This was my first book by this author and I do have some of her other books on my shelf that I’m hoping to read soon. I have always heard great things about her books and this was definitely a great start for me.
Under the Southern Sky was the first book I read by Kristy Woodson Harvey, and if the rest of her novels are anything like this one, Woodson Harvey has found a life long fan in me. I can honestly say I was smiling almost the entire time I was reading this book.
The premise of the story is unique in that Amelia and Parker are childhood friends who have come in and out of each other's lives periodically but now are both at "low" points in their lives and find that they are leaning on each other more now. Woodson Harvery has written complex characters, who are both lost in their own ways. I enjoyed that the two main characters are a bit older, and a little more complex than the customary straight out of college starry eyed couples mostly found in romance novels.
The themes of family and female empowerment are explored on many levels and adds so much to the plot as well.
Thank you to NetGalley and Gallery Books for a copy of this novel.
Kristy is at it again with her beautiful written books!! Under the Southern Sky will take you away. Life's trials and tribulations will stir all your emotions in this book. Will recommend to all who love Southern Fiction.
I liked this book but felt it was predictable and a little too "romancy" for me. I will however, recommend for purchase for our adult section, as this is a popular author and I feel our patrons will enjoy the book.
Kristy Woodson Harvey's latest has all the best markers of Southern fiction. Heart-tugging dilemma at the center of the story: Check. Two old friends—the literal boy and girl next door—recovering from their various versions of rock bottom: Check. Crumbling seaside estates that have been in their families for generations: Check. a main character's voice with the perfect blend of charm and clever sass: Check. UNDER THE SOUTHERN SKY is a fast, entertaining, moving read you can fall right into.
