Cute book! I love cozy mysteries & this book was no exception. This is book #3 in the Resale Boutique Mystery series & was another hit!

Great book! Fun and fast paced. The characters were flawed and human. The writing was easy to read and went quickly. I read this very quickly and found myself desiring to read the rest in the series. The plot was good and I couldn’t guess the outcome until it was revealed. I loved the background of fashion - it added an extra dimension to the story. This was well worth the read.

If the person who you formerly worked for was an absolute self-absorbed, narcissistic witch who kicked you out of your dream job suddenly needed your help proving they were innocent of a crime, would you drop everything to help them out??? I'm not sure I would go out of my way, but the main character in this story definitely would. The author has done an excellent job of developing the main character's personality with an unwavering need to help others. This book really delves into that "need" in this book and unearths the connection to the past that has helped drive the character to help others and that is why it is so easy to connect to the characters in this series. The author has taken the time to really flesh out the characters and by doing so makes her plots that much more interesting than other books. I am far from a fashionista, but I love reading this series as I get a little fashion education, but mostly I get pure entertainment from the mystery that is woven into the plot. I can't wait to see what happens next in our budding resale boutique fashionista's future as this book left the field wide open for adventures to come!

Kelly lost her big-city job in fashion buying and came home to take one her grandmother's consignment shop. After years of hard work, she's finally making a go of it -- enough to brand the shop as a boutique for gently used high fashion gear.

But hard work can't solve all her problems. Her roof needs replacing, her old nemesis from the city turns up in her home town, a shocking family secret threatens important relationships...and she finds another murder victim.

How can Kelly keep her head above water and stay out of danger? Maybe it's time to talk about her mental health, too. How much stress can a girl take before it starts to show?

I like Kelly and her friends a lot, and always enjoy the books in this series. In this episode, she's making some bad decisions and coping with tough problems. The mystery carries on alongside Kelly's story, but it might not have been solved without her. This is a fun read.

First of all, I enjoy a beach setting even in the wintertime. Secondly, I love a murder mystery that’s so complex I can’t figure out who the culprit is until the ending! Protagonist Kelly Quinn leads an interesting life as the owner of a resale boutique and a freelance fashion writer; not to mention the occasional times she dons her magnifying glass and steps into her Nancy Drew shoes.

In the third installment of the Resale Boutique mystery series, Kelly’s past rears its ugly head in the presence of her former boss, Serena Dawson, who’s in town to seemingly make trouble for her ex husband and his wife, Tawny, a fitness and diet guru. Serena finds trouble when she’s accused of murder!

The story is very interesting and selecting the killer from the suspect’s provided is very challenging. The author does a first rate job creating a seemingly simple plot then layering in a lot of subterfuge for readers to dig through to get to the bottom of the perpetrator’s agenda. It was cool how a resale item held the clue to the final showdown. Fortunately, Kelly has a great supporting cast of friends who assist her with her sleuthing research, and all ends well. I highly recommend this captivating cozy series.

I honestly reviewed a digital arc provided by NetGalley and Kensington Lyrical Publishing. All opinions are my own.

Things Are About To Get Complicated.....
The third in the Resale Boutique series of mysteries finds Kelly with her hands full running her second hand boutique and keeping her clientele content. She could do without discovering a dead body. Things are about to get complicated. An enjoyable, fun cosy with a likeable protagonist and a colourful cast of supporting characters. A worthy addition to the series.

It’s a total love/hate relationship with this series. On moment I’m completely sucked into the story, the next I want to throw my book across the room because the protagonist drives me crazy. She has a tendency to do irresponsible things and stick her nose in where it doesn’t belong just a little too much and a little to far. Other than that, this was a good mystery and yay me for figuring out the murderer and mostly the why.

This was a fun cozy mystery. I enjoyed the characters. I love the idea of an owner of a resale boutique solving mysteries. Here Tawny not only is solving a mystery but also dealing with her former boss Serena. Tawny has to solve the mystery to help her former not very nice boss no longer be a suspect. Tawny is clever and the background characters are fun as well. The mystery kept you guessing until the end. Its an enjoyable book.

Lucky Cover is such a cute town for the setting of this book, mixed with the clothing consignment background, relationships, family secrets, and letting go of guilt from the past. Kelly is such a likeable character to cheer for and am looking forward to more in her story.

Kelly Quinn has been building her business and has a new customer who wants to consign some clothes. The woman is a fitness expert who has made a name for herself with a large following, so Kelly is optimistic about the clothing and the future of her boutique. Kelly is invited to join the fitness expert for a yoga session and when she arrives, she finds her former boss standing over the woman’s body. Did Serena kill Tawny? Kelly can’t believe it and agrees to help find out who killed Tawny.

This is the third book in the series and is another hit. We see Kelly learning family secrets, dealing with her relationship and most of all accepting that she is not solely responsible for what happened to her friend Ariel when they were younger. I find myself cheering for Kelly with each and every challenge she has to overcome with her business and look forward to more in this series.

Enjoyable cozy mystery. Part of a series but works well as a standalone.

The protagonist is a bit down on her luck but is trying hard to get her business to be profitable-she inherited it from her grandmother and is working hard to modernize it. She also inherits an older building and has challenges with it as well. She has a good friend/employee network that adds to the story and the world building.

I was able to figure out the murderer rather early on but still enjoyed getting to the denouement.

I received an ARC from the publisher via NetGalley but any opinions expressed are my own.

Fun, cozy mystery set in the adorable town of Lucky Cove. I jumped right into How to Frame a Fashionista by Debra Sennefelder, not having read the previous books in the series. Though it calls back to events in previous books, it was good as a stand alone. I enjoyed seeing Kelly work so hard on her business, sometimes cozy heroines don’t seem to deal with trivial matters of real life like budgets and inventory.
