A picture perfect neighborhood is rocked to its core when lies and tragedy enter its safe and privileged orbit. Ex-rock star and drug user, Arlo Wilde and his fading beauty queen wife, mouthy tween daughter and eclectic son have always felt out of place in their suburban enclave, excluded and ostracized. Things appear to be changing though, when the neighborhood’s unofficial “ruler” Rhea Schroeder, takes the family into her heart and into her home. But when alcohol loosens tongues, secrets that should have never seen the light of day are exposed just as Rhea’s daughter disappears and shocking allegations against the Wilde family rapidly become a witch hunt. This book makes me so happy I don’t live in a “neighborhood” , where people are watched, judged and found wanting

I just knew that with the cover and title that this novel was going to be a creepy one!!! So fantastic and loved the suspense and drama!! The characters were fantastic as well.

This is a complicated story told through the point of view of several key characters as well as press interviews and articles. What emerges is a cautionary tale of how the hysteria of group-think can lead to disaster. This was not a particularly fun read, but it held my interest all the way through. Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for providing this ARC for review.

A dark and disturbing story of a town and the things going on there. I found it intriguing and different. Not my usual thing, but overall a good read.
