This book was a great spirit lifting book. All the devotionals helped me focus on being more grateful for my wonderful life.

Gratitude feeds faith.

This six week study on Gratitude will remind you that gratitude will change your life. Using scripture to guide and strengthen you, fear will not be fed. If you suffer from fear, shame, bitterness, it robs you from the love of God. It is amazing all the ways gratitude can be used to glorify God and for your good.

Each week focuses on a scripture and each day walks you thru application. The day ends on a blank page that encourages you to a heart of gratitude. The study comes with pull out scripture memory cards. Bible memorization tragedies are given as well. A book that teaches and equips. Highly recommend.

A Special thank you to Barbour Publishing and Netgalley for the ARC and the opportunity to post an honest review

It's a simple idea -- memorize 6 Bible passages and think about gratitude. The author included not only stories but many applicable quotes from other sources which helped round out the points being made. I appreciated having the Bible passage cards available. Although I read a digital copy, knowing that the cards are there would have made it very easy to just pop them out and put them on my bathroom mirror or in my purse. I would have been more likely to study the verses in my spare time with them already on cards.

This book would make a very thoughtful gift. Gratitude is always a good quality to cultivate. This book helps make it easier to grow.

I gratefully received a free ARC digital copy of this book through NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for my honest and voluntary opinion.

A beautiful 6 week devotional with themes for each week to really help you commit to scripture and gratitude. I love each day's "The Blank Page" and "The Last Word" section for assignments, challenges, and other scripture guided principles. Each day starts with a lesson or a story to go deeper into the theme for the week such as relationships or God's character. This is a wonderful devotional with great lessons for scripture memorization.

Jean Fisher wrote "Writing Gratitude on my heart will help you enjoy life fully, lift your spirits, and lead you toward a more positive perspective when obstacles get in your way." While I agree with her words, I would add that this book will draw you closer to God and through self-reflection change your heart along the way. There is a lot of depth to this book, with quotes from many different people, it is obvious that a lot of work and research went into this book. It really enhances the stories that Fisher tells, to have taken the time to add these quotes. Throughout the book Fisher offers up different suggestions on how to memorize Scripture and incorporate it into your daily life. She uses humor in some of her illustrations, discusses the benefits of gratefulness and the importance of memorizing Scripture. At the end of each week, day seven is putting it all together.

The topics covered in-depth in this book are: A grateful heart, relationships, miracles, seasons, grateful for God, our Heavenly Potter, and Grateful for God's character. Fisher does an excellent job of combining scripture verses into each of these sections, along with things that really make you think. It is not a book that you will want to rush through, it encourages you to sit and simply soak it all in.

I would highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to practice more thankfulness/gratefulness. I would also recommend purchasing as Christmas gifts to anyone you know who might be interested in a "meatier" devotional, that if done correctly, can be life-changing. What a great way to start out 2021, by reading this devotional and starting out the new year practicing the habit of writing gratitude on our hearts. I read this book on Kindle, but plan to purchase my own copy of this book, because it is one I can see doing over and over again.

Thank you to Barbour publishing and Net Galley for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for a review. I was not required to give a positive review. All thoughts and opinions are entirely my own.

I am reviewing a copy of Writing Gratitude on My Heart through Barbour Publishing and Netgalley:

In Writing Gratitude on My Heart we are reminded that we have many reasons to be thankful. We thank God for life, for that precious moment He brought us into the world. Life is the first of His immeasurable blessings, and we have endless other reasons to thank Him. There are many reasons we have to thank him,

This six week devotional reminds us to focus on the gifts we have been given, the reasons we have to be thankful. Our faith, our family and friendships all give us a reason to be thankful. We are reminded too of the importance of doing something nice for those we don’t know.

We are reminded too “that the things we are grateful for shift with the seasons of our lives.”

No matter what season we are in life, this book reminds us that we have reasons to sing praises to God and to celebrate the ways He works in our lives.

We are reminded too that not a single one of us is perfect. We make mistakes in every season of our lives. Our mistakes shape us, and how we react to them defines our character.

I give Writing Gratitude on My Heart five out of five stars!

Happy Reading!

A beautiful 6-week Bible Memory devotional that focuses on gratitude. I love the layout this devotional offers. There is a reading for each day as well as a page called The Blank Page where you are challenged to actually apply feet to the Truths learned. Then, the Last Word is a final recap to help it all come together. God’s word permeates each day and the focus is on memorizing a verse a week. Each reading and writing section are designed to flush out the truths of this verse in your own life, providing ways to plant the seed and water it, each and every day. Topics covered include a Grateful Heart, Relationships, Miracles, Seasons, Grateful For God, Our Heavenly Potter, and Grateful for God’s Character. Recommended for those who desire to make a habit of memorizing Scripture and hiding it in your heart, especially in ways that foster gratitude.
I received a complimentary copy from the publisher via NetGalley. All opinions expressed are my own and freely given.
