Chloe has just lost her mother and has had to move to a new town and live with a new family, meeting a boy names Trent seems like a dream come true until she discovers that he’s hiding a world that she never dreamed existed.

I wasn’t sure about this book at first, it started to feel very much like Twilight during the first few chapters. Luckily this comparison didn’t last long and it became a story in its own right. I did enjoy this book and I’m looking forward to the next installment, it felt like there were a lot of threads that were started in this book and not really finished up on. I would have liked to have seen more of Trents family in this book, it feels a little unfinished but hopefully that will change in the next book. Definitely worth a read for fans of Twilight and YA supernatural books.

Truly a mash up of Twilight and Vampire Diaries. You either love it or hate it. I am still unsure. The ending made me mad as heck and I will need to wait for the second to make a full decision.
The main character is ditzy, she misses everything and it feels like the worst parts of Elena and Bella. But I still liked her?
The guy was a swoon for me. Here for it.
Overall enjoyable, read in one evening. Just wish I had the second and don't want what I think is going to happen, to happen.

Thanks to the publisher for providing an eARC of Eternal Curse in exchange for an honest review!

For a pretty by the books opening to a YA paranormal romance, Eternal Curse is wonderful! Miller's writing shines in a genre full of blank 'woe is me' narrators and it kept me interested from beginning to end. She also takes care to add her own backstory, lore, and changes to traditional vampire and witch stories.

A few things were rather underdeveloped (Chloe's other friends are quick to fall to the sidelines) and it was definitely insta-lovey (but what paranormal romance isn't?) but other then that, this exceeded my expectations.
