A 3.5 stars story
Happily Inc is a small town in California that reinvented itself by becoming a wedding destination. Now it’s Christmas time, a time for renewal and celebrations.
This time the story belongs to Wynn Beauchene and Garrick McCabe.
Wynn is a single Mom and neighbor of Garrick, the local cop. She has a secret crush on him, but it isn’t until he needs her help with his young estranged pregnant daughter that relationships of sorts develop with his daughter and between them.
But the road to good relationships and happiness is a tad rocky. Will the magic of Happily Inc, the town people and the Christmas spirit heal and bring them all happiness?
Though this series nor this story is my favorite written by this author, though not memorable, it was still a sweet romance, perfect for an afternoon of leisure.
I was entrusted a copy of this book by Netgalley and Harlequin. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

"Love heals. Love makes us better than we ever thought we could be. Loving someone, the act of loving is a generous gift. True love is our greatest calling. Not just romantic love, but all love."

Susan Mallery pens a holiday tale that readers will happily read this Christmas. Curl up under the covers, uncork a bottle of wine and settle in for a story that unleashes the best of the season.

Things are heating up for Wynn as she fancies her new neighbor. While debating how to introduce herself, she's greeted by man in question. Garrick requests her help getting a room ready for his pregnant daughter. It's a win-win situation as Wynn gets to spend time with her handsome neighbor while endearing herself to his wayward daughter. Will she succeed in turning Joylyn from a Ms. Grinch to enjoying the holidays?

Thank you to #NetGalley and the publisher for the early read of #HappilyThisChristmas in exchange for an honest review. It was a sweet story especially Wynn and her son, Hunter's relationship. That being said,
I feel Mallery published stronger storylines. Rating 3.5

This is the story of Wynn Beauchene. She is a business owner and single mother. She also has a bit of a crush on her neighbor. Garrick McCabe is A police captain who needs help. It seemed a little odd that Wynn would do so much for her neighbor when they were barely on speaking terms, though this altruistic behavior is often seen in the series written by Susan Mallery.

Wynn helping Garrick prepare for the arrival of his daughter is the start of a slow slide into love. Wynn is more aware of her feelings than Garrick. There Are plenty of bumps and twists to keep the book flowing. There is also plenty of feel good moments and generosity on the part of the community that are perfect for a Christmas Romance.

I have never read a Susan Mallery book that I didn’t enjoy from beginning to end. I enjoy them so much that I eat of the words and then I am disappointed that it is over. Fortunately for me I can pick up the next book in the series and return to the community and characters that I have come to care about.

I was provided an ARC by NetGalley and Harlequin for an honest review of the Happily This Christmas.

A wonderful, heartwarming Christmas book about love and family. The main characters, Garrick and Wynn, were each struggling with the mistakes of their past, and it was fun getting to know them and watch their friendship bloom, and see how they navigated through the rough waters of parenthood and a new relationship.

3.5 stars.

Thank you to Harlequin Books and NetGalley for a gifted copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

Maybe I'm not in the holiday spirits yet but this one was a bit of a miss for me. I usually love Susan Mallery books but this small town series is not my favorite. I enjoyed the dialogue between Wynn and Garrick but I felt their romance moved a little bit too fast to be realistic. It was fun seeing characters from previous books in the series and reading about their gatherings. I think that's the highlight of small town romances and I love that aspect.

Overall, still a great romance with some steam!

In the charming town of Happily Inc., Wynn Beauchene finds herself developing feelings for Garrick McCabe, the cop living next door. Garrick’s estranged and pregnant daughter is returning home for the holiday’s, and Garrick enlists Wynn’s help in the hopes of making it memorable. Tis the season for joy and love.

This book is the 6th in a series, but can still be read as a stand alone luckily for me, as I didn’t know that before reading this one. It now explains why some seemingly unimportant characters are highlighted so much. The story is a typical romance narrative with themes built around friendship, family, and communication. The writing style is very straightforward, with an almost clinical feeling, and didn’t evoke any emotions in me.

I found Garrick being a cop unbelievable, as nearly the entire story it’s not mentioned again, and he is always available, any time of day. On the flip side I really enjoyed Wynn and the relationship with her teenage son. Wynn was refreshing to read. Her life was together and she didn’t need a man to save her or give her a sense of fulfillment. It was just an added bonus.

Overall, this was a sweet holiday romance to take us into the Christmas Season.

*Thank you to NetGalley and Harlequin for providing me with an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest and voluntary review.

Wynn and Garrick's story is like sitting on your porch watching the scenery and people go by. It is a couple of hours of escape, but what you see does not really leave a lasting impression. This is not one of the best Mallery books I have ever reviewed or read, but it pushes the series forward and you get to catch up with old favorites. Keep yourself in the loop, but there have been better books in this series.

Love Garrick and Wynn. It was a wonderful story and it was nice to see the old gang too. This is a perfect love story.

Wynn has been punishing herself for something she did 15 years ago. Holding herself back emotionally and keeping her heart closed because of it. Garrick has a grown daughter that's about to have her first baby. They had a falling out when she was a teen and Garrick is determined to find out what happened and reconnect. I loved Garrick and Wynn together. They made a great team. Garrick's daughter comes to stay the last few weeks of her pregnancy because her military husband is deployed. She was quite annoying at first but does a lot of growing up by the end of the book. The story lags a bit here and there but i enjoyed seeing characters from previous books popping up. Overall a enjoyable read perfect for a fall evenings read.

REVIEW
A great warm and fuzzy holiday read. I read in one sitting huddled under my blankets with a glass of wine- quite content.

The characters feel real. Their struggles and triumphs are ones that the reader will be able to say “me too” and become engrossed in their lives and their story.
The women in this book are depicted as strong, independent entrepreneurs whose partners and spouses support them in all that they do. Wynn’s girlfriends sound just like my own- stubborn, funny, creative, and loving- I was immediately attached and engrossed in their friendship.

The author captures the drama of marriage, divorce, blended families, and single parents balanced with humour, traditions and truth. Families come in all shapes and sizes, the one you are born into and the one you choose for yourself. who wouldn’t want to spend their holidays in Happily?

Overall I would recommend as a great light holiday read.

When I went to Amazon to grab the "About the Book" copy, I noted that this was book six in the series. I haven't read any of the others, but honestly, I wondered if Happily This Christmas was part of a series, because like much series fiction it had a lot of characters who seemed to get too much attention in the book for very little reason. Susan Mallery took time to catch readers up with what happened in the lives of characters from other books, one of whom happens to be the ex-boyfriend of Wynn, the heroine of Happily This Christmas.

As noted in the blurb above, Wynn, Garrick and Garrick's daughter all need to let go of past pain to open themselves to the joy of the season, and, of course, love.

I likes Garrick and Wynn and enjoyed seeing them get to know each other. I loved Garrick's relationship with his daughter and how he was able to get his little girl back.

Yes, its a Christmas romance. Yes, everyone lives happily ever after. You didn't expect anything different, did you?

I'd like to thank the publisher for making a review copy available via NetGalley. Grade: B.

Once again a wonderful and complex tale of life in Happily, Inc. Wynn lives next door to Garrett and has spent considerable time watching him do things, especially the shirtless things. Garrett asks her for help making his house a home for his pregnant daughters visit. The themes of family love and abandonment feature as well as self forgiveness. I really enjoyed their journey.

Mallery delivered a sweet Christmas read for the upcoming holiday season. While this book is a part of a series, I was unaware until I started digging into Mallery’s work after enjoying this book. So I can say this book can be read as a stand alone and now I’ve just found my next five reads. I loved the strong female lead, Wynn. She has a successful business, a great relationship with her son, and great female friendships. This isn’t a character that needed to be saved by a man but I’m so glad she met and developed a relationship with her handsome next door neighbor, Garrick. I left this book looking forward to the Christmas season. Thank you, Mallery!

In this latest ( and maybe last??) Happliy Inc from Susan Mallery, the entire cast of characters makes an appearance at one time or another. New babies, new marriages, and lots of emotion fill this book.

Single mother Wynn has been lusting from afar her neighbor Garrick. When he asks her for help in getting his home ready for the arrival of his pregnant daughter Wynn is thrilled to help. This starts a series of events that lead to a father and daughter reunion of the minds and hearts, a realization that Wynn is not too old to have more children, and the revelation of how she became a single mom.

Written with attention to dialogue, Mallery's books are always satisfying. The ending on this one, and the resolution of the conflict came a little quick for me, but it's still a great read.
Thanks Netgalley and HQ for allowing me a sneak peak.

I was so happy to get Wynn's story, and Susan Mallery did not disappoint! Wynn and Garrick each have issues from their respective pasts to work through, but they really work so well together. This is a perfect holiday romance, with the added bonus of characters from previous Happily Inc novels lending a hand.

A story of friendship and love and learning to communicate. Garrick and Wynn have been neighbors for a while but it takes his pregnant daughter coming to stay for them to get to know each other. Will the friendship turn to something else?
