Married By December is so fun and sexy and sweet and romantic. I adored it from start to finish. This book is filled with lots of humour, drama, romance and has an easy flow that’ll keep you reading well into the night. Loved it. Happy reading everyone

Mia and Alan are colleagues who accidentally get engaged. Why do they get engaged? Are they actually in love? Will Alan and Mia being boss and subordinate overcome this? These are some of the interesting questions that you will answer while reading this book. The first book of the series would want you to read more of the story. It is interesting and engaging.

This was extremely quick and not in a good way. Suddenly it was over and i was left with just questionmarks. I was so bored. It was no chemistry between the characters, and it all felt like it went too fast. The fact that Alan had to reassure us that he was not gay, was dragging it even more down that it already had. Just no.

I did not enjoy this book at all. The story line was very rushed. I also hard a hard time connecting with the characters in the book.

I received an advanced copy for an honest review.

I received a copy of the book from Netgalley to review. Thank you for the opportunity.
A lighthearted and fluffy read that lacks substance and explanations.
An OK read.

This is the first instalment of a five part series.
The story itself was enjoyable and had intriguing characters and an engaging storyline.
I will certainly be looking at the other books in this short series of 'chapters' to see how the story progresses.

Very well written and an enjoyable read. The first book of the series I would want to read more of the story. It is interesting and engaging.

I was disappointed with this book. I hadn't realized that this was just the first part of a multi-part story. When I read a book I want a definitive ending. I don't want to wait weeks or sometimes months to get to the ending. Sometimes even forgetting what I've read previously. The characters were a bit unbelievable and the story too open-ended.
Thank you Ava Lyon, BooksGoSocial and NetGalley for allowing me an advance copy for my honest feedback.

Let me start off by saying I have a serious problem with books that have grammatical errors - and this one did. Not sure if the author doesn't know proper grammar or if the editor (assuming there was one) didn't do their job, but improper grammar immediately makes me lose steam for a book. And then the constant use of the word "wanna" nearly pushed me over the top.

This is the story of Mia, a woman in her late twenties that has risen to "Brand Manager' of a tech company. Yeah, don't get me started with how she hates all things related to technology. She won't even attend the company parties because she feels they are too nerdy. I'm sorry - but how can she be a successful brand manager if she doesn't believe in her company?

Alan, Mia's boss, isn't much better. He's a self-made billionaire that started the tech company, but he doesn't go to the parties either. When he finds out that an investor won't put one billion dollars into his business because he thinks Alan is gay, I knew this book had reached a new level of ridiculousness. These characters are so juvenile and it seems like the author writes in a very juvenile way also.

Sadly, this book just didn't do it for me.

I was provided a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. The opinions stated above are mine without biases.

Great story! I didn’t even notice that it was over. This book is well written and an enjoyable read, can't wait for the next one!

The short novella's writing style didn't portray normal living. More to awkward movement. I didn't have feelings while reading it. It could have been better if it was written in relax mode, precise and short. What I had read just now was more on a fake drama, with abnormal gestures and no soul. The story was too lame and as I said, it could have been better if the author knows where the direction of the story should go. By leaving me at a cliffhanger ending, it lost my interest in total.

The title and cover caught me, but not the story.

Thank you to NetGalley for this eARC in exchange for my honest review.

First things first, this is not a book. I felt it was only the first chapters of a book. There's no conflict and no climax.
The characters were kind of flat. No backstory for us to get to know them.
And suddenly, it's over.
I was waiting for the conflict to appear. I guess that happens in another book. I personally don't lile stories divided into different books, unless they are too long to fit in one volume, which is not the case with ebooks.

Thanks NetGalley and the author for this ARC.

This is a short 4 chapter “preview”.
The writing was bad, like nobody I know talks like that. The sentences and scenes were rushed. No chemistry between the characters Mia and Alan. The mom/daughter relationship was terrible.

I received this ebook copy from NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

This was a new author to me, but she did not disappoint me, I was intrigued by the blurb and the story delivered!

While I thought the premise of the book was good, the writing style and vocabulary used seemed a little all over the place. Some scenes where extremely rushed, even for a single episode and at times hard to follow. There were paragraphs that I had to reread to ensure I read it correctly or to try and make sense of what is going on.

I voluntarily read this book in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This was part one of a set of 5 ‘chapters’. Each novella carried on the story although they completed a part in themselves but failed to make a book. I read the further 4 ‘chapter/novellas from KU. Even so, the totality of the 5 was a short book.
It was a sweet and contemporary story set in our high tech world with their fantasy Silicon Valley and programming and Apps. It was a story about just how can you attract investors into your concept and what did they want in return apart from a chunk of your business. Mia and Alan find an innovative way to address this by faking a relationship for the very traditional, small ‘c’ conservative Investor. Mid-West type all about family and marriage and children etc.
Nicely written but in reality Part 1 is merely a Prologue and NG should have offered the full 5 parts. I reviewing all 5 here.

Married by December

The book was provided to me for an honest review by NetGalley

In the book, we meet Mia and Alan. Mia is an independent young woman, who is tired of sexist males, that her mother chooses for her, and Alan is the CEO of the company Mia works in. When in front of Alan has a deal for investment, he can’t decline it, so he is forced to start fake-dating his colleague – Mia.

Let’s be honest here, I had really big expectations about the book, and I am utterly disappointed.
It was way too short and rushed, we didn’t get almost any detail about the relationship between Mia and Alan before the ”deal”. They almost had no real relationship and I can’t see their romance happening.

Mia is smart, strong, confident, and independent, but at the same time, she is over-horny and gets angry pretty easily. I think she is a real character.

Alan…well, Alan was portrayed confusing, or at least I was confused. I couldn’t imagine him like a real person. He didn’t have any good qualities, and reading him was quite annoying.

So would I read the other parts – absolutely no,

Would I recommend the book – again, no!

Heroine - 5/6

I didn’t realise this was a novella, an introduction to the characters of the main story, a prequel novella. It wasn’t really my cup of tea even as a teaser, it didn’t hold my interest, sorry.

Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for a free copy for an honest opinion

This is a four chapter novella, more of an introduction to the series rather a book. Meeting Mia and Alan, how they know each other and how the fake relationship comes about.
