My Darling by Amanda Robson is a fast paced dark thriller. I really enjoyed this book, the chapters were short and all the characters were well written. You think you know where the story is headed but then it goes in a entirely different direction. If you like suspenseful mysteries with lots of twists and turns then I recommend you read this book. My Darling is such a fun read, short chapters (some just one paragraph) , two crazy women, Jade and Emma doing battle over one of their men. We know right away that Jade moving next door is going to be trouble so let’s just relax and take pleasure in the story. And what a story! The twists and turns are really very well thought out and work perfectly for both women, until they don’t. Forgot to mention the man they are involved with, but it doesn’t matter it’s all about an epic Jade vs Emma contest and what a splendid clash that becomes. Loved it.

Loved this suspenseful thriller. Perfect read for a fall evening. Fans of Robyn Harding will enjoy this one with the tense dynamics between two couples and themes of jealousy and revenge.

I loved this fast-paced thriller! The style of the writing is one of the reasons why: first-person, multiple POV, short-chapter dramas keep me engaged. This was for me a page-turner narrative, and I found all of the different characters interesting in their own ways.

What a thrilling read! I could not put this book down!!! This is a story told from several different perspectives, and with each chapter, the story becomes more and more twisted. You will not regret reading this one!

My Darling is a creepy and sinister read. First, you're led to believe there was one.culprit. Then a supposedly decent character turns out to be rotten. Then you discover that another character is even more sinister and evil than the one you thought was. Each short chapter revealed even more sordid details. I didn't like any of the characters, but I had to keep reading because the plot was compelling and I had to know how it ended.

My favorite part of this story was its consistency. From the beginning, and all the way through to the end, the author manages to drop in just enough of a hint or plot point to keep you engaged. There are no dragging moments where you're just in it for the end result.

Throughout the story line, I was second guessing my predictions and wondering if I was being led on in the wrong direction. Was I being told to look right when the story was going left? Is this person as sane as they think they are, or are we being given a normal narrative from an insane character? You never find out until the end.

The author did a fantastic job filling out each character without bogging you down with details. No character was too minor or insignificant. You could recall each person with familiarity, even if their role was small. I really enjoyed this book and would recommend it to anyone looking for an engrossing mystery/thriller. I could not put it down and I had to find out what happened. There are some unexpected twists in the story that caught me off guard.

While I have to admit there were A LOT of coincidences in this book, hence the 3.5 stars instead of four, BUT the readability factor led me to round it up.

My Darling is an excellent domestic thriller. A couple, Jade and Thomas, move in across the street from Emma. Alastair is Emma’s boyfriend. Jade is convinced Thomas is having an affair with Emma. Jade plans to solve this on her own. The amount of drama between these two couples is crazy and so interesting. Once you start reading, you won’t want to put down My Darling.

My Darling is dark and twisted. None of the characters can be trusted. I loved My Darling but didn’t actually like any of the characters.

This was my first Amanda Robson book, but definitely will not be my last. I recommend My Darling to domestic thriller fans.

During the week, Alastair ,a forensic laboratorian. lives above an Italian restaurant with his mum and his son, Stephen. Ex-wife and Stephen's mother, Heather, is constantly bothering Alastair for more money - Alistair doesn't have it . Working in a forensic laboratory does not make a man rich. And more - he has custody of Stephen!

Jade invites Emma and Alastair to dinner. During that first time together, Jade takes Emma aside and warns her that Tomas is a rover. Strange for a first meeting... Yet, Emma has the looks and personality - so,,, .As Jade becomes more pushy with Emma, Emma gets "less available" to her. Once, when at a quick lunch they tell each other that they met their current mates on Tinder. Jade discounts Tinder - too much promiscuity. Yet Emma met Alistair there and wants their relationship to grow. Jade tells Emma she knows Tomas and her are having an affair, Emma is merely Tomas' dentist, she tells Jade straight up.

How far will this foursome have to .stretch to overcome the past, the jealousy, the deceit and so much more...

WOW! A book the reader will not want to put down. Amanda Robson spells out a winner!

This book was crazy!
This was such a fast paced book. With short chapters and easy chapters to run through.
The book was fantastic. The POVs was very well written.
I wished the ending was a little more thrill but overall very well written book.

I'm looking forward to more booms from Amanda Robson.

So maybe it was the cadence the book was written in but I found it hard to really get into. It was constantly changing between different people so it made it seem to skip a lot.

A stalker an obsession a love to last a lifetime. I mean character in this book is obsessed with a neighbor he thinks his true love but her obsession turns deadly. I highly recommend this book.

I received an ARC copy of this book from Net Galley in exchange for my honest opinion of it. I could not finish this book. Just too choppy and did not enjoy the constant switching of characters.

I could not get into this book at all. I felt that the writing was choppy and the plot was simply for shock value. The characters were unlikable. Not one that I was rooting for. I’m sure there will be a lot of readers who will enjoy this book but it wasn’t for me.
