Another favorite by a great author. The plot of the story was very well written. The author really draws the reader in as you read. I felt like I was an unnamed character in the story. I cannot wait for another story.

Another excellent addition to the Blessing series. It's heartwarming, sweet and I rooted for the well written characters.
Sharon Sala never disappoints and this was an engrossing and entertaining read.
Highly recommended.
Many thanks to the publisher for this ARC, all opinions are mine

When I think of where I would like to be, it is a small community like the one in Blessings, GA. A community, while not without its challenges, comes together to support its fellow citizen and help improve everyone's life. This book is no different.

The romance between Hunt and Ava is revived from their childhood, at least on Ava's part. Hunt is several years older and while he watched out for her, he never saw her in a romantic light until now. Their romance seems quick, but they have a lot of history together and sometimes that is all you need to create a forever relationship.

While the romance is the main focus of the story, there are several subplots including Hunt's relationship with his family, some troubled youth and their family, and the normal town happenings.

I enjoy this series and this book was no different. I did feel like something was a little off with the writing in this particular book but nothing I can put my finger on. Perhaps part of it was due to repetitive text, some of the characters seemed a little flat, and the development of the relationship between Hunt and Ava seemed just a little too quick despite their history.

The sense of community is what keeps bringing me back to this series. They don't hesitate to look out for each other and help wherever possible.

We give this book 4 paws up.

My Kindle broke and I had to factory reset it and lost all of my Net Galleys, so I wasn't able to complete my read/review of Somebody to Love.

The archive date had already passed and I wasn't able to re-download it. I'll be catching this book from my local library.

Thank you to NetGalley and the author for the opportunity to read this book for an honest review. Hunt left Blessing after someone in his family stole his college find. Hunt left and never looked back....until his Mother sent him a letter saying that she was dying and wanted him to be the executor of his will. Ava grow up looking up to Hunt as her hero and never really knew why he disappeared all those years ago. While Hunt is fixing up his family home to sell and Ava is baking him pies...they are growing closer and it is a fun read for the reader to see these two forgive and find love.

Somebody to Love returns us to Blessings, Georgia for another taste of this unique small town, and for answers to finally be found for one man who left fifteen years ago after a family betrayal changed the course of his life. One of the things that I enjoy about this series is that although you get a more solid understanding of this town, the community, and its residents if you’ve followed along from the beginning – it is a series of standalone romances that you could, if you wanted, just pick up a book here and there and not feel like you’ve missed important details.

For Hunt, returning home is a bittersweet trip, one he’d rather not be taking for he swore to never return after his siblings and his father closed ranks and wouldn’t tell him who had stolen a large amount of money he’d saved up for college. He left, joined the military as a helicopter pilot, and never looked back aside from keeping in touch with his mother. Now his mother is dying and he’s returning to be with her before death steals the one person he cares about from him. His reassurances that he will be the executor for her will, that he can follow her instructions to the letter seem to give his mother some final peace. In an abstract way, he was aware of the nurse at his mother’s bedside, he was after all focused on his mother. But soon he came to realize that he knew this woman or he had known the child she once was.

Long ago Ava had a serious childhood crush on Hunt but he wouldn’t have noticed back then and soon he would leave town so that crush went nowhere. Now with Hunt back at his mother’s bedside, and dealing with her wishes Ava has to admit that her crush never went away, and the man Hunt has become is even more than she remembered. But once he’s fulfilled those wishes for his mother Hunt has no intention of staying in Blessings. Anything between them wouldn’t stand a chance, right? But that doesn’t stop the feelings that Ava has, very adult feelings that she has every intention of acting on now.

Somebody to Love was a story that captured my imagination and my emotions quite easily. While there were things that I wish had been developed a bit more, it’s not my story to write only to read and enjoy. Hunter does get answers, I don’t know if he really got closure but answers. Family betrayal is a hard situation for anyone no matter the reasons. It had shaped Hunt into the man he is now, who knows what he might have been had he been able to go to college and chose a different path in life. That will always remain unanswered for Hunter. There were moments of deep emotional impact in this romance, times when I chuckled out loud, got intensely angry, or tried my best to keep tears at bay. There are sub-stories going on in Somebody to Love, events in town that impact everyone including Ava and Hunter.

In all, I enjoyed my time in this world once again, and look forward to the Christmas release later this year.

*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher, Sourcebooks Casablanca via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*

Great small town romance story. This one has everything you could want in a story, a childhood crush, a second chance at love and family drama. Hunt Knox returns to the small town of Blessing after 15 years at his dying mothers request and meets an all grown up Ava, who happens to be his mother's nurse. They grow close as the days go by but can they survive all of the secrets, lies and betrayal?

I was beyond disappointed in the latest Sharon Sala's Blessing's Georgia novel. I have read others in the series and enjoyed the blossoming romance and the charm of the small town, but this book felt like the author phoned it in and suffered from lazy writing. To begin with, this is supposed to be a romance, and to have the couple express their unwatering love for each other in the first half of the book left the second half without any romance. There was no build or developing love between the two. It just was without question. Then, near the end, when a tragedy struck them, it felt like it was thrown in to extend the novel and add drama. At the same time, the big secret that was tearing apart the family was revealed 70% of the way through the book. With the couple nearly engaged already, the last 30% of the book felt irrelevant (which seemed to be why she threw in "the tragedy"). It felt like a desperate attempt to extend the novel and add conflict to the couple.

Having read this series before, I know the town and the residents are a big part of the novels. However, in this novel which already had multiple members of a family that were slightly developed, to throw in another family and their drama to show the generous side of the town and how wonderful everyone is, felt completely unnecessary. There were four other characters already established who could have experienced some dramatic event without introducing more in the last half of the book. Not to mention how she introduced another new character and potential love interest for the one sibling in the last 10% of the book. Why? Nothing was going to be adequately developed in that time and at that point, I had long since stopped caring.

Sala's writing style never bothered me before, so I don't know if I never noticed certain things before, or if this book is an exception, but there seemed to be a lot of filler. Aside from the above mentioned examples where it seemed like situations were included for extra drama or make the book longer, I saw a lot of sections where the author showed every mundane detail of their life leading nowhere. There were sections detailing the morning routine of the character and then they go to work but nothing else happens of consequence. Then the main character is estranged from his four siblings. When he does something spectacular, a scene was written with each of those siblings finding out he did something spectacular. The same story was told three or four times and each scenario was only a few paragraphs. It was repetitive and not necessary. There are snippets throughout the book bouncing between each sibling and what they're doing. The book could have done without one sibling or found a way to make the situations more significant.

I had been excited to read this book but struggled to get through it. It had no romance and was boggled down with unnecessary scenes and characters. In all honestly, this book felt like it was written to fulfill a contract and not a true example of what I've come to expect with this series. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

It is always a pleasure to visit Blessings. The people there really care about each other, and go out of their way to help their neighbors.
This book started with a sad event and family drama that appeared had no good resolution possible. It introduced new characters, but also included some locals that we have met in previous books.
This book was both heart wrenching and heartwarming, but left me longing to stay there after the last page was read.

Somebody to Love by Sharon Sala was an interesting read. The story was not a ordinary one, which made it interesting. This is part of a series and even though it can be read as standalone, there were times where you wondered about the other stories that must have come before this one.

Hunt Knox on the day he was to leave for college found out someone had stolen 8,000 dollars from him. He was leaving for college and now he didn’t have the ability to pay for it, despite the year of working every type of job he could. A member of his family had stolen all his money. He was never told who or why, but to basically get over it. Hunt left that day and didn’t return until when his mother was dying. He returned as he promised and had a chance to say goodbye before she died.

Now Hunt is faced with fixing up his mom’s house, dealing with his siblings and Ava Ridley. She has been in love with him since she was very small. Now Hunt has one more hurdle, falling in love with Ava. The truth will come out and nothing will be quite the same.

Somebody to love by Sharon Sala was good read.

Thanks go to the publisher and Net-Galley for the electronic copy of Somebody to Love by Sharon Sala. I voluntarily agreed to read and review this engaging novel prior to publication. My opinions are my own, and nothing has influenced them.

Somebody to Love is a lovely addition to the Blessings, Georgia series. The characters are endearing, and the plot is fascinating. I love the small town of Blessings, and all the amazing characters I’ve grown to love as I read this captivating series.

At first, it took a bit of time to get used to Ms. Sala’s writing style, since so many characters have a point of view, and it changes quickly and often. Now that I have adjusted, I no longer find it distracting. In fact, I enjoy it.

Ava Ridley is the heroine in this story, and I quickly became vested in her character. She’s determined and loyal to her friends and family. She also has an excellent moral set of rules she lives by.

Hunt Knox is our hero, and he has all the characteristics that I most admire. He’s burdened by the past, but he still looks after his siblings when has mother asks him to do so on her deathbed. When he sees Ava, after being gone for years, he’s immediately drawn to her. I loved his conviction regarding his feelings toward her. It’s unwavering.

The romance between Ava and Hunt is sweet, and the attraction is strong. The love scenes are more about the emotions and not the physical aspect of making love. I enjoyed their love story and wanted them to have a lovely happy ending!

If you enjoy small town romances with characters that will grab you and not let go, and an emotional plot, then you will love Somebody to Love as much as I do. This is an amazing series, and I highly recommend you read this book and the others in it. Happy reading!

What a great book. I enjoyed it very much. The characters and the storyline were interesting and intriguing. I love reading books set in a small town. They're like "sitting on your front porch while drinking sweet tea and talking to old friends" comforting.

I always enjoy returning to Blessings, Georgia. When a new book comes out it is like catching up with old friends. I love how Ms. Sales manages to interweave multi storylines into a fast moving book that is hard to put down. In this book, we get to catch up with many old friends and meet a few new ones. The main storyline revolves around Hunter Knox and Ava Ridley and their journey towards forgiveness and finding the love of their life.

Somebody to Love by Sharon Sala is the 11th book in the Blessings, Georgia series. I haven't read all of the books but I have read several of the previous books. This was a wonderful read, when Hunter returns to his hometown because of his mother's death many old emotions and betrayals will be revealed. I thought the chemistry between Hunter and Ava was off the charts, and their love for each other brought me to tears. I would definitely recommend this book to others.

I received an ARC from NetGalley and the publisher and was under no obligation to leave a favorable review, all opinions expressed here are my own.

Somebody to Love by Sharon Sala, book eleven in her Blessing, Georgia series is a sweet contemporary romance has family betrayal, childhood crushes, a veteran hero, and a second chance to get everything right. This is Blessings, Georgia, where people can find forgiveness as well as the love of their life.

The money Hunt Knox had saved for college was stolen, fifteen years ago, while three of his siblings and his father hid the truth and told him to get over it. Needing a new plan and feeling betrayed by their lies and theft, Hunt joined the arm, flying Apache helicopters in Iraq; swearing to never return to Blessings. After leaving the Army he became a chopper pilot for an oil company in Houston. His father died six years ago and he’s only returning home to Blessings to fulfill his mother’s dying request. Hunt’s mother used to babysit Ava Ridley, who has since grown up, and is now a nurse, at his mother’s bedside when he arrives at the hospital. Ava had a huge crush on Hunt when she was young and is happy to see him again. Spending time together, Ava and Hunt not only find themselves attracted to each other, but their feelings are growing. Sorting through the secrets, lies, family betrayals, and difficult choices, Hunt and Ava find love and answers. After all, everybody needs to be loved as well as love another and Hunt is not willing to lose the one person who makes him feel like he’s home.

Ms. Sala wrote an emotional story that was moving, sweet and filled with family betrayal, childhood crushes, a veteran hero, and second chances. After all, Blessings, Georgia is definitely the place find forgiveness, love and second chances. I highly recommend Somebody to Love to other readers.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

I am a big fan of the Blessings series and have read every book. I love revisiting this small town that is quaint, sweet and spiritual. Somebody to Love was exceptionally spiritual. Hunt Knox left town 15 years ago after being betrayed by his family. His plans of going to college were taken away from him so he joined the army and served his country as a helicopter pilot. His family may have forgotten him but the young teen girl that idolized him never did so when Hunt returns back to town at the request of his dying mother he is surprised to see little Ava Ridley all grown up and working as a nurse at his mother's bedside. Family hurts and secrets run deep throughout this story and Hunt has been hiding a very bruised soul beneath his rough former military exterior. Ava was the perfect person to help him heal and move forward toward a full and happy future. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to reconnect with some of the residents of Blessings and look forward to more stories set in this picture perfect small southern town. Somebody to Love was told from multiple POV's and was very sweet with just a bit of heat.

Blessings, Georgia maybe the best place to ever live if you ask the right person. However, if you were to ask Hunt Knox he would say that Blessings is not the town for him to raise a family. Hunt had $8;000 saved up for college tuition and he was ready to make his mark. On the day he was going to pay he went to get his money and it was gone.
His own father and sister and two brothers refused to tell him what happened to the money. Hunt walked out and he never looked back until his mother was dying in the hospital and he made a promise.

Ava Ridley had a crush on Hunt, but she was so much younger that he was never aware. Ava was a nurse in the ER, but she was close to the Knox family because Hunts mother was her babysitter.
Circumstances put Ava & Hunt together and these two souls start to develop more than a friendship.
Will Hunt be able to forgive his family? His parents are now deceased, but he still needs answers.

This book truly surpasses what I expected and I was charmed by the freshness of the storyline because it wasn’t just boy meets girl and goes to bed. This book was more and it was believable that the characters had to resolve actual issues of every day life. The realistic happenings in the book were gripping and that is what made me want to continue reading!

I would definitely recommend this book to a friend!

I received a free advanced copy from NetGalley and these are my willingly given thoughts and opinions.

Blessings, Georgia – Present Day

Fifteen years ago, Hunt Knox left Blessings after he learned that someone in his family had stolen all the money that he’d worked for to save to attend college. No one would admit to the crime and his father told him to just deal with it. Hunt ran as far as he could by joining the military and had a storied career there until injuries forced him out. Now working in Houston, he receives a letter from his mother, Marjorie, to come home as she is dying. He arrives just as she dies. She apparently waited for him. In the letter she had sent him, she asked him to be the executor of her will and to fix up the house before selling it and sharing the proceeds with his four siblings. Hunt plans to follow his mother’s wishes. This means he will remain in Blessings for a few weeks.

Nurse Ava Ridley had been friends with the Knox family as a child, and she returned to Blessings after several years away. At the hospital, she is on duty caring for Marjorie Knox and four of the children are at her bedside. Then, Hunt arrives and walks up to his mother’s bedside to let her know that he is there. She peacefully dies and the family grieves. Hunt’s siblings, Junior, Ray, Emma, and Birdie, are shocked to see him because they didn’t know what happened to him after he left. There is friction between them, but Ava steps in and welcomes Hunt.

Over the next few days as the funeral is planned and the reading of the will is held, Ava makes herself available to Hunt by bringing food and offering a friendly face. The two soon grow close—and a sexual attraction develops. Hunt will only be around a few weeks while he’s fixing the house and settling the estate, but can anything romantic happen between them? Slowly, the friction between the five siblings lessens, especially when they realize that Hunt is a good person who is only following their mother’s request. Will Hunt ever learn which of them stole his money? Once Hunt leaves Blessings, will Ava go with him?

In Sharon Sala’s latest Blessings, Georgia tale, SOMEBODY TO LOVE, we are introduced to the Knox family. Their father was a strict man who tormented his children. It was the mother, Marjorie, who raised them with a gentle hand. After the blowup over Hunt’s missing money, the family splintered apart. Of the five children, it ended up being Hunt who not only left town but made a good life for himself. After he proves to be a good man, his siblings begin to respect him. As the youngest, Birdie didn’t know about the missing money and it is Hunt that she sides with after she learns about it. The others—Junior, Ray, and Emma—are tightlipped about what happened—and who really took it.

SOMEBODY TO LOVE is told from numerous characters’ points of view. If you have read the prior books in the series (there are many) then you catch up with some of them, too many to list. This tale also veers off into other plots that in a few of them, circle back to the Knox family. But even if you haven’t read the prior books, you won’t have too much trouble following along. Mainly, SOMEBODY TO LOVE is about the Knox family, with much of the tale revolving around Hunt and Ava. After all, it is their romance that we are here for. You won’t be disappointed.

If you love a feelgood tale that will capture your attention and leave you all warm and fuzzy by the end, then don’t miss SOMEBODY TO LOVE.
