A man betrayed by his family years ago finally coming home to keep a promise, a little girl now grown who waited for her prince charming, a family torn apart by a secret.
The storyline was promising, the writing style quick and easy to read, however, the whole book seemed rushed, The central characters of the Knox family seemed to be pushed back for "filler story" which left me with many more questions. Such as THIS is the secret that tore the family apart? And HOW did Tall Man survive the secret only to end up half a world away with the man that was wronged by his family? WHAT happened to Donna's boys, other than they got taken "to another county"?
Overall the book was entertaining and a good way to pass a rainy day. And made me curious to check out some of the writers other work.

I was given the chance to read this book from the publisher for an honest review.

Somebody to Love is an excellent title for this novel. It portrays what everyone really wants—the somebody they love to return that love. For the heroine, that love has been since her early teens. The hero left home inexplicably, only to return years later at the request of his dying mother. The fulfillment of the promises he made her keep him in his small hometown. He’s surprised by the feeling of “home” the community people give him, particularly when his Mama’s nurse turns out to be the youngster he’d watched grow up amongst his siblings as the girl his Mama had babysat. As he takes care of his Mama’s final business, the estrangement between his siblings and him becomes clear as secrets are unveiled—by the local psychic. Even better, the crush the heroine reveals she had on him is so much more. It’s true love that covers past hurts and gives him that special gift of Somebody to Love!

SOMEBODY TO LOVE follows Hunt who has to return to Blessings after an alarming letter from his mother. He's not excited to be back fifteen years after his family stole nearly $10,000 from him and kept it a big secret. He ended up joining the army and flying choppers for them until he was shot down. Ava, an ER nurse living in Blessings with nothing much exciting going on in her life. That is until Hunt shows up in one of her patient's rooms. Hunt's mother used to babysit her when she was younger and she had developed a strong crush on him. Now that he's back, her crush makes an entrance again and she's excited to see him. Hunt is shocked by how much the little girl he remembers has grown up and by how much she interests him. Neither expected to grow a friendship or fall in love but they end up doing both and quickly. However, Hunt does not plan on sticking around in Blessings once everything that is needed has finished, he doesn't have anything keeping him there. Ava suffers a life threatening injury after a fight at the hospital that helps Hunt realize she means more to him than he realized.

Sharon Sala knows how to pack a lot into 300-400 pages book however, this may not have been the best example of that. This featured the main couple's relationship, the storyline of Hunt dealing with his mother's death and confronting his family members, a few storylines following other people living in Blessings, occasional POVs of other characters, numerous tragic events, and more. This was jampacked with everything that I could think of and unfortunately, it was a little overwhelming. I was lost as the story went on. I constantly found myself wishing I could skip certain sections of the book or wondering when it would lead back to the main characters. When it did, I was feeling frustrated with how quickly their romance grew and how it felt like it had grown off the pages while readers were reading about other things happening.

I think the first six books in this series were the best of Sharon Sala's books for me but everything afterwards have been disappointing.

I have enjoyed all the books in the Blessings series. They are all feel good books. This was not my favorite of the series. The romance between Hunt and Ava seemed really fast to me. I found myself skimming parts of the book, but I still enjoyed it. It was nice to return to the little town of Blessings and catch up with some of the characters from previous books. Thank you to net galley for an advanced readers copy.

If you’re looking for a sigh worthy romance, look no more. Somebody to Love brings Hunt back to his hometown due to a loss. He’s estranged from his siblings due to a betrayal fifteen years before. He has walls up and won’t let anyone in. Until Ava crosses his path again. She has loved Hunt since a child and delights in being with him. I thought their declarations were too quick, but the chemistry was real and I liked how intense Hunt was for Ava. Blessings is a small community and two souls looking for each other accomplished their mission. It’s a feel good, sappy romance that makes reading worthwhile.

Sharon Sala brings us once again back to Blessings, Georgia. We meet Hunt Knox and his family when he returns home fifteen years later just in time to see his mother. There in his mother's hospital room, he sees Ava again. He remembers her as the little girl his mother babysat. Ava remembers Hunt as her childhood crush. His promise to his mother keeps him in town while what drove him away in the first place keeps him from venturing far. As he spends more time with Ava, will he become what she has always dreamed of him or will the secrets that kept him away keep them apart?

I love going back to Blessings and visiting with the families once again. It is like seeing old friends after awhile and you get to catch up with them while making new friends. I am always looking forward to another adventure in Blessings since you never know who you will meet and what stories are waiting for you when you get there. Sharon Sala has a way to draw you into her stories and keep you wanting more. I am looking forward to the next adventure in Blessings!

Oh, I love this Blessings series, and each book is a wonderful story. This book is no exception. Hunt comes back into town at his dying mother’s request and it changes his life forever. Ava remembers her childhood crush, Hunt, and life has brought him back to her. Their romance is so sweet and I love how the mystery throughout the story was solved. I can never explain how happy and excited I get when I see a new book from Blessings. Thank you for bringing happiness to your readers Sharon Sala!

It was a joy to read this book. Solving a family mystery is key to this book, as well as forgiveness, love, and generosity in the face of tragedy. The characters are all people I’d like to know, and I’d love to visit Blessings, Georgia, to meet them. I did think the love story part of the book moved too fast to be realistic. The characters are all people I’d like to know, and I’d love to visit Blessings, Georgia, to meet them. This is the 11th book in the series, but I’ve had no trouble following the storyline in the two books I’ve read. I received an arc of this book from NetGalley and the publisher. All opinions expressed are my own.

First i want to thank Sourcebook Casablanca and NetGalley for allowing me to read this book and give my honest opinion. My true and honest opinion is that I want to move to Blessings, Georgia and fall in love. I found this series last year and marathoned the first seven books and then realized I had to wait six or nine months until the next one. Now that this is book 11, I am completely in love with every character (even the bad ones in this book) and don't ever want this series to end.

This book centers around Hunt Knox who is returning home after a horrible action by someone in his family drove him to the military and to war. He is returning home because his mom is near death and asked him to come. When he arrives at the hospital, he is reunited with Ava, a nurse who was once cared for by Hunt's mom. Ava has been in love with Hunt since she was a kid in pigtails and Hunt truly had no idea. His mom passes soon after he arrives. Hunt is faced by his family who has worked hard to forget what was done to Hunt so many years ago. This is a story of redemption and loss (another loss occurs that I did not expect but Blessings helps the family after the tragic death). I wont spoil that loss because I didn't see it coming and I don't want to ruin it for anyone.

If I had any criticisms about the book, it is that Lon and Peanut and Ruby are not in it enough! There were touches of all the other people in the book like a check written by the main characters of the last book.

I would recommend this book to anyone who needs a break from their life and need an escape from all the craziness that has happened. I am anxiously waiting for the next book to be ready and pray for ten more after that!

This was almost a DNF. I was not a fan of the dialogue and the excessive description of every single detail throughout the story. The whole love story seemed way too rushed and hard to believe. I've had people recommend Sharon Sala's books to me but the writing style is just not to my taste.

I loved returning to Blessings, Georgia. Hunter Knox returns after fifteen years being summoned by his Mom who is dying of cancer. He left after a deception by his father and siblings. After his mom passes away, he plans to fix up her house and leave forever. Ava Ridley has been in love with Hunt all her life and hopes he will see her differently after all these years. Can Hunt discover what happened back then and make peace with his family. Will Hunt and Ava find a relationship. I love this town and enjoy coming back to find out what the residents are up to! Great read.

Thanks to Sharon Sala and Sourcebook Casablanca

Hunt Knox hasn't been back to Blessings, Georgia since the day his siblings stole money and his future plans from him without explanation why. When he finds out his mother is dying from lung cancer, he returns home and finds her on her death bed. He stays in town to keep a promise to his mother that he'll fix up her house so that it can be sold. Being home brings up a lot of drama with his four siblings - and a connection with his childhood friend Ava. Hunt is decidedly different from when he was a teenager in Blessings, but he is still pretty much a hero in every sense of the word. He went to war, flew helicopters, and was shot down and injured.

Ava is an Emergency Room nurse at the small town hospital who has been through her own life drama - but still sparkles and shines. She was in love with Hunt from an early age - and when he comes back to town she takes a chance to see if the feelings she still has for him are there and can be mutual.

I liked this book a lot - I have only read a few of the other stories set in Blessings - but they are always sweet and homey, but deal with real issues for very real people. There aren't a lot of billionaire alphas in Blessings, but there are good people who help each other. There were three things that kept this from being a four star read for me: (1) Ava and Hunt come together and decide to get married after like three dates. I know they were very close growing up - but they've been apart 15 years. They definitely fit each other - but damn. That's fast. (2) The book lost a little focus in telling some of the other stories of what was happening around town. So, as a result, (3) it felt a little long. Like I got to the 75% mark and the major mystery was resolved and Ava and Hunt were engaged. What more could there be? The additional drama didn't feel necessary to the plot - but maybe more towards the overall story of Blessings as a community?

Overall - I recommend this as a sweet, emotional romance. I will give a content warning for <spoiler> loss of a parent (both from cancer and suddenly) and pregnancy loss/stillbirth </spoiler>.

I received this as an ARC from NetGalley, but these opinions are all my own.

Thanks to #NetGalley and #SourceBooksCasablanca for the ARC.
I read this book really fast. It was somewhat sappy. I think the 2 main characters fell in love in like 2 minutes and then on every other page talked about how much they loved each other and how pure their love was.
It was a little more sappy and they talked about their love a little more than the author usually does. It felt like maybe this book was written hastily. Like the author was in a hurry and maybe just slapped a lot of love talk in there to get some words on the page and she usually does not do that.

Thanks Netgalley for allowing me to read this book. Hunt left town after someone from his family stole money from him he was using for college. He ended up joining the military and returned home to see his mom before she passed away. When he was home he reconnected with Ava who had a crush on him for years. Hunt grew to love Ana. This book was well written.

If only every town is like Blessings, Georgia where people try to take care of each other! I enjoyed reading about the community life there and it was nice to see that some of the characters from the previous titles of the series are back. Peanut! I will always remember this character because of his name which doesn't go very well with his career. Ha!

I was somewhat disappointed with the main male character and the way he was portrayed. Also, his dialogue didn't seem to quite fit him at times as a tough pilot who has gone through war. However, I didn't mind how fearless the female character was in pursuing the guy she has loved all her life!

I was surprised at the spiritual elements – especially at the messages from the dead. It's out of the blue and didn't seem to fit somehow.

Overall, the storylines in this title did not really appeal to me. Not quite the Sharon Sala I love but I hope she will be back with the next book in the series soon!

Someone To Love us more first book by Sharon Sala that you have read by this author. I love the storyline between Ava and Hunt, some would say it was Instant laugh but if it’s done well that’s what I like. I hate when it seem’s for the couple to take forever to get together now that drives me crazy. I gave it 4 stars

Happy Reading
Lisa

Great addition to the Blessings, Georgia series - can be read as a standalone.
Hunt Knox returns to Blessings to fulfill his promise to his mother who has remained in contact with him since he left at eighteen. Fortunately, he arrived before she passes away. As he works on repairing his mother's home for sale, the family secret as to why he left is revealed along with facts he was not aware of. He reconnects with a family friend Ava, who is a now a nurse.

Great to get a glimpse of some of the characters from previous books.

Thanks to Netgalley for a copy.

Somebody to Love by Sharon Sala was interesting for me. Hunter Knox is returning to his hometown of Blessings, Georgia after being gone for 15 years due to a family secret that tore his family apart. While there, he faces his family, falls in love and discovers secrets aren’t always best kept quiet. This book is part of a series so some of the side stories relate to the prior books, so without reading those you don’t know much about those character’s backstory. The way this book is written is interesting to me. It was almost written as though it was a tv show. Where you have the main story but then you have all these side stories throughout the episode. It threw me off a little bit but I get why it was done. Since I got this as an ARC from the publisher, I will tell you I did find this story enjoyable. Overall, I thought the main story of falling in love with your childhood crush is very relatable to many.

I loved this book. This is part of the blessing Ga series. This book. Was full of humor and so much emotion. As usual, I loved all the characters and loved arching up on reoccurring characters
