I was really excited about this. Book about cats liked super cute. But once I began to read, it kinda become a drag. The illustrations/graphics were cool but the stories could have been more interesting. I expected a lot from Grumpy cat.
Maybe it might work for some but it was only okay-ish for me.

This was fun! Art is really simple and nice, kids will most definitely like this. There's a lot of jokes that only adults will understand tho. Put a smile on my face.

As I’ve mentioned before, I’ve been in a bit of a reading slump during the Rona, so audiobooks, kids books, and comic collections are about all I’ve had the headspace for, and this one was great for the mind (and the soul). The title doesn’t lie, this is a big collection of Grumpy Cat comics, and I loved that there were so many collected in this volume.

All of them are gold, obviously, because Grumpy Cat, but some of my favorites involve superheroes, detective cats, and a haunted house. Each comic has Grumpy’s signature sarcastic style, and the peppy cat and dog Grumpy shares the house with are a good balance to the grump. Their enthusiasm and happiness play off of Grumpy’s attitude quite nicely and make for some comical situations. I feel a lot like Grumpy. I get dragged into situations, and I’ll almost never reveal it, but I usually enjoy things once I’ve convinced myself to do them.

If you’re looking for something light in between heavier reading, definitely pick this collection up. The art is cool, the tales are short and fun, and if you read one here and there, the book will last you a good while.

It’s out in November, so keep an eye on it, perfect for adults and kids alike. I’m in my 30s, and obviously, I loved it. #MemeGeneration.

Very funny comics collection starring Grumpy Cat (RIP), and her brother Pokey. They get into all sorts of crazy situations, different settings, and holidays but Grumpy is always cranky. A great collection for fans of the meme star, but even if you weren’t aware of her still a great read. I will be purchasing this book.

Thank you to the publisher for giving me a free copy of this comic in exchange for an honest review.

I think this comic is a very fun read! I really enjoyed the general story. Since it's kind of made up of multiple stories since it's a collection it was a fun read since you got really excited to read the next story every time.
I really recommend this copy for people that already enjoy Grump comics but even for the people who are new to this (Like me) it is very enjoyable.

The art is very cute and fits well to the story and atmosphere. I think this comic has a lot of potential and will be enjoyed by many different readers and many different age groups for that matter.

I love Grumpy Cat. I was so excited for this comic but it did not hold up. The story was “meh”. I thought there would be more snark from Grumpy Cat. The illustrations didn’t do Grumpy Cat justice. I’m sure many will enjoy this but, as a huge fan of Grumpy Cat, I was disappointed. Thank you for the opportunity to read this.

I had a really good time with this book! It was often funny, sometimes moving, and the reader gets to see different styles throughout the comics! I really loved to follow Grumpy and Pokey, I loved that they are so different but really close - despite what Grumpy can say. I loved that it was really diverse adventure-wise! And I particularly loved the spooky ones, with ghosts - my favorite, the one in the "haunted" house! I also loved that we explore different times and that Grumpy tell stories to her brother!

Definitely a good time!

I think this would be a great reading experience for someone who like graphic novels and enjoys the grumpy cat memes. There was a lot of imagination put into this. My 10 year old would really like to read this as he is into graphic novels.

This comic collection about Grumpy Cat’s adventures was a ton of fun! I loved the artwork a lot, it was super colorful and definitely kept my attention.

I also liked how grumpy Grumpy Cat was but also how underneath that grumpy exterior, she was a sweetheart inside and really did care for her brother Pokey who we see a lot of in these comics.

I think kids are going to love reading and exploring these comics and seeing just how adventurous a Grumpy cat can be.

3.5/5 🌟

Do you remember the Grumpy cat, the internet sensation? Well, apparently she’s getting into the comic industry too.

You now I am a proud cat lover so I was excited to read this, and since she’s always been utterly cute, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this collection of comics.

Unfortunately, I cannot say I loved it as much as I would have wanted to. The art style really fits the book and I want to praise the artist work, but if I’m being honest that’s just the only thing I liked.

Grumpy’s personality comes off as someone dislikable and sometimes rude too. She’s always mean to the side characters and well, that isn’t enjoyable at all. Don’t get me wrong, I like cats, the way they’re their own master and who don’t care about anyone, but is it too much to ask for different sides of them? Being sarcastic and sassy is not equal to being rude or mean to others.

Also, since this is a bunch of short comics, it gets repetitive. I even had to force myself to finish it.

Honestly, I’m not sure I would recommend it. There are a bunch of comics and graphic novels out there that are far more interesting or suited for children/YA.

I’ve always been a fan of Grumpy Cat (aka Tartar Sauce) and have missed her since she passed. This collection made me smile, as I imagine it will for most of her fans. It’s appropriate for children and adults. Reluctant readers who love cats will most likely enjoy this collection.

I had no idea that there were Grumpy Cat comics, so when I saw this on NetGalley I had to pick it up. In the comics we follow Grumpy Cat of course, but also her brother Pokey and their friends. It has a lot of great humorous references and the opposite personalities of Grumpy verses Pokey makes for fun romps that Grumpy refuses to enjoy. It was a really fun read and great for fans of not only Grumpy cat, but cats in general.

I love Grumpy Cat and was looking forward to reading. Some of the comic stories were clever and funny while others missed the mark. Definitely more geared towards younger audience.

Grumpy Cat Awful-ly Big Comics Collection is, as the title suggests, full of Grumpy Cat comics.
I really enjoyed the art style, however the story telling, and the type of stories were quite obviously for children. While I enjoy a lot of literature targeted at children, depending on the specific style, unfortunately in this case I didn't find it capturing and fascinating enough.

The internet-famous Grumpy Cat lives on in this fantastical collection of comics! Each new adventure juxtaposes her lovable, droll snark against her brother Pokey's endless optimism. In a surprisingly wide range of scenarios, Grumpy Cat tackles haunted houses, the circus, maniacal robots, the Wild West, and even outer space!

I liked some of the stories, but others I didn't really like too much. I felt like some were just a bit too short and rushed for me to enjoy them. But I really loved reading about Grumpy and Pokey and their adventures. Definitely recommend for people who love Grumpy Cat!

I started this one because I wanted to have a fun break in between my university readings. Grumpy cat is internet famous so I thought it could be interesting. However, after reading the first three or four little stories, I can tell you it wasn’t what I was expecting. I didn’t find the stories particularly funny and didn’t really like Grumpy cat. After reading the whole book, I can confirm that it didn’t make me laugh but it sometimes made me smile. The stories are all quite short and entertaining. Moreover, the drawings are cute. I would definitely recommend it to kids and teenagers. It is easy to read and I think most kids can relate in a way to the cats. I didn’t love it because I was expecting funny one-page stories but I did enjoy it.

I chose to read this because I know about Grumpy Cat and figured this would be like a quick comic on tweets or stories that are made on Grumpy Cat. The book was a little different than what I expected but it was still good. It was just repetitive I guess and it's probably best to read these comics individually, at least for me. It was a little big for me to read the entire book about comics that are just depressive because Grumpy Cat is never happy and it takes a fail of a birthday party to make the cat smile even a little. It's really cute and adventurous and if you're a fan of Grumpy Cat you should definitely check this book out!
