'Doctor Tomorrow' by Alejandro Arbona with art by Jim Towe is a reboot of a Valiant character and, man, are those covers striking!

Bart Simms is a young sports star who can't get his dad to notice him. One day he gets approached by an alternate world version of himself. The older Bart Simms pulls his younger version in on an alternate world spanning adventure to stop a decide menace. Young Bart is barely understanding his own powers and his alternate seems to be hiding information.

This is not the reboot you are looking for. There are a lot of characters and interesting variants of known Valiant characters, but the story and motives are just confusing. The art is pretty great, and, as noted above, I loved the covers.

I received a review copy of this graphic novel from Valiant, Diamond Book Distributors, and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you for allowing me to review this graphic novel.

An introductory narrative that fails to cohesively introduce our characters, world, and plot. Time traveling and parallel universe narrative are difficult to write because they can become overly convoluted or underdeveloped. I, however, quite enjoyed the visuals, but the story needs quite a bit of work.

A bit of a mess plot-wise and involves an entire universe of characters without really introducing them. The ending is messed up a bit too if you think about the events from the perspective of the main character's family. Might be worth it for die hard fans of Valiant comics, but as a newcomer it left me underwhelmed.

Does what you expect it to do. It is a decent superhero story. The art while a bit bland is good and the story moves along at a good pace. A nice introduction to a character and universe I was unfamiliar with. The action set-pieces work better than the interpersonal moments. That said you won't regret spending an afternoon escaping into Doctor Tomorrow's world.

Best for DC fans. Although the cover seems smooth the interior is rough edges more DC again than a easy comic.. Everything is absolute perfection

Is not something you haven't seen before in comics, but the script gives a youthful vibe on a time travelling adventure that introduce a new hero in the Valiant universe.

Thanks to Netgalley and Valiant for the advance copy in exchange for an honest review.
