An Amish romance centered about a mobile library. Sarah Anne loved her job as librarian and helping those in her community. When Aaron checked out the mobile library, he saw an opportunity to obtain his GED. Being Amish, children go to school thru the 8th grade. He wanted to keep taking his GED a secret because of what his parents went thru when his brother jumped the fence. Sarah Anne knew just the right person to tutor him. Kayla Kauffman. Kayla has her own family problems. One is money. Her Amish father since his wife has died, has not been able to process his grief. This is one romance in the making and other is Aaron's sister Tiny and her childhood friend Joel Lapp. She has been expecting him to make it official but in the recent weeks it seems like their wires have crossed. In all page turning romances, there is always misunderstanding that stem from secrets and insecurities.

The two romances cross over since family is involved and in doing so encourages the four not to give up on themselves and each other.

What I loved about these romances are the hidden things in each of our hearts. How we respond to those hidden things and how we need others to process those emotions to have healthy relationships.

A special thank you to Gallery Books and Netgalley for the ARC and the opportunity to post an honest review.

A Perfect Amish Romance by author Shelley Shepard Gray is a delightful Christian Amish Fiction. It is the Book One in the Berlin Bookmobile series. Author Gray always delivers a page turning, captivating story. I love her storytelling style. She brings the Amish community to life with her talent.

This book as many characters to keep up with, and they all are in the middle of action. The characters are engaging and easy to like. It is fun to watch their personalities develop. I love the Bookmobile. It brought back memories of my childhood when I would visit one.

I highly recommend this lovely novel. It gets a 5 star rating. A copy was provided by Net Galley but these are my honest words.

This is a Amish Fiction, and this is the first book in the Berlin Bookmobile series. This book as a lot of characters, and they all have a lot going on. I have to say it was a lot of characters and their drama to keep up with for a first book in the series. After I got all the characters figured out I did really enjoyed the book. I am looking forward to the second book in this series. I love the Bookmobile, and this book follows the people that visits the bookmobile. I was kindly provided an e-copy of this book by the publisher (Gallery Books) or author (Shelley Shepard Gray) via NetGalley, so I can give honest review about how I feel about this book. I want to send a big Thank you to them for that.

This is a Amish Fiction, and this is the first book in the Berlin Bookmobile series. This book as a lot of characters - but the author does a great job keeping everything organized. This series focuses on a bookmobile librarian named Englisher Sarah Anne Miller her husband passed away and she is grieving him. Sarah knows the Amish and always picks out books that they want to read. Aaron is a young Amish man who is trying to study to pass his GED. As always, this book focuses on community and how they come together to help each other. I am excited for this series.

A Perfect Amish Romance by Shelley Shepard Gray is the debut of the Berlin Bookmobile series. Sarah Ann Miller takes out the bookmobile to the stops within her area. Over the last year, Sarah Ann has become more than a librarian to the people who visit the bookmobile. Aaron wants to take the GED and needs a tutor. Sarah Ann arranged for Kayla Kaufman to tutor Aaron. As they spend time together studying, their thoughts turn from vocabulary to romance. A Perfect Amish Romance is a sweet and amusing story. There are several storylines going on which keeps the book interesting. It can, though, be confusing in the beginning trying to keep the various characters and their stories straight. Once I got into the story (able to keep the people straight), I really enjoyed this story. I just loved Sarah Ann. She is a lively and insightful woman. Aaron wants to get his GED so he can get a promotion. Kayla lost her mother two years ago. Her father has been depressed since her death. Kayla has had to take over things previously handled by her mother and her father. It is putting a strain on her, and Kayla has no life of her own. Tiny Coblentz has been friends with Joel, but she now wants a different relationship. She believes Joel feels the same way. However, her brothers are an obstacle. The Coblentz family is lively and amusing. I enjoyed seeing how the bookmobile and Sarah Ann served the community. It provides more than a place to get books. There are good life lessons in this charming Amish tale especially regarding perfection. A Perfect Amish Romance has secrets, hope, faith, trust issues, and love. I look forward to the next novel in the Berlin Bookmobile series. A Perfect Amish Romance is an entertaining story with a lovable librarian, sticky fingers, raucous youngsters, obfuscated vocabulary, tenuous trust, and beloved books.

This was a real change of pace for me. I usually read traditional regencies and cozy mysteries, but this came up on NetGalley so I asked for the ARC. I really enjoyed it. In some ways it was like a book I might have read years ago (I am a senior now). But I loved the whole idea of the bookmobile and the lives that were touched by Sarah Anne. The main family was so endearing -- Aaron, Tiny, Jack, and their parents. I was moved when the mother admitted to Aaron about mistakes she has made. I am not familiar with the Amish faith and traditions. I know about shunning, which seems to an outsider to be so harsh. I don't know if that practice continues but the way that Shelley Shepard Gray has depicted this community demonstrates how faith can help so much with the challenges all of us face. As others have said, this book is heartwarming and so affirming of faith, family, and love. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for a chance to read and review this book. I think I may read more about the bookmobile library!

I was excited to read a new Amish series by Shelley Shepard Gray as she is a multi talented author in other genres but her Amish books grip my heart. What better setting than a bookmobile run by a genuine warm widow woman who cares about her patrons especially the Amish. There are so many wonderful characters that it is hard to pick a favorite. It starts with a beautiful cover and opens to heartwarming stories that sweep you into the worlds of several families all tied together with their love of books and family. I love how the characters grew and some learned to look outward and learn to help others. Just a great beginning to this new series and I look forward reading more. With all the turmoil in the world it was great to curl up with a book that made me smile.
I received a complimentary copy from the author. The honest review and opinions are my own and were not required.

A PERFECT AMISH ROMANCE is the first book in the Berlin Bookmobile Series by Shelley Shepard Gray. Aaron is a young Amish man who is trying to study to pass his GED. He thinks by doing this his boss will find him more suited to advance in the ranks of his business.. Aaron hires Kayla to help him study for his GED and through their studies a friendship develops. Kayla holds a secret about her father and her life after her mother’s death. As Aaron and Kayla get to know each other a spark connects them. I have been reading Shelley’s books for years and A PERFECT AMISH ROMANCE is now one of my very favorites by her.

Shelley Shepard Gray sure knows how to make the reader feel as if they are right there at the kitchen table with these two, with all their troubles and A PERFECT AMISH ROMANCE is exactly that! She made me sad, then the next moment I was smiling and giggling out loud! You can never go wrong with a Shelley Shepard Gray book if you are a fan of the Christian fiction genre. All of her characters feel genuine and relatable and put your emotions on one heck of a roller coaster ride. As you are reading, you will find yourself cheering for all of them, praying they can work out their problems and be happy once again. You will also wonder how much heartache someone can stand before they completely break down and fall apart.

A PERFECT AMISH ROMANCE is a heart tugging story filled with patience, loneliness, heartbreak, and love that will hold you hostage until the very last page. Once I started this heartwarming story, it was very hard to put down! I really prayed that Kayla would be able to convince Aaron that she was ready to move forward with her feelings for him and that he deserved to be loved and cherished. Shelley Shepard Gray isn’t afraid to write about subjects out of the norm as far as the Christian Fiction genre goes. Oh, as a warning to the reader, keep the tissues handy and do not read the ending in a public place unless you don’t mind crying in front of strangers! I’m so excited to continue catching up on all of Shelley Shepard Gray’s previous books. Now I have to patiently wait for the next book in this wonderful new series!

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Gallery Books through Netgalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

“What a charming story.” That’s the first thought that came to my mind when I finished this lovely book. I’ve been a fan of Shelley Shepard Gray’s books for quite some time, and this may be one of her best series yet.

This series revolves around a bookmobile that’s overseen by Sarah Anne Miller, the kind and caring librarian. She’s more than happy to deliver books and some wise advice to the Amish community she serves with the bookmobile. She’s also a matchmaker at heart, and this book revolves around four Amish young people who benefit from Sarah Anne’s insight.

I loved the Coblentz siblings and the love, support, and teasing that was part of their relationship. But the character that touched my heart was Kayla Kauffman. Kayla has gone through a series of disappointments in life, and she’s had to take on responsibilities that are too heavy for a young woman. Sarah Anne sees possibilities for Kayla and Aaron Coblentz, and she arranges for them to meet under the context of Kayla tutoring Aaron for his GED test. What follows next is a sweet, inspiring story of facing life with courage and faith. It’s also a reminder to be looking around us for those who quietly need our help.

I’m looking forward to reading the next book and see who Sarah Anne decides to help next. And I’d also love at some point to know why Sarah Anne came up with her “rules” about the bookmobile that begin each chapter. Those would make an entertaining story all on their own.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions are my own.

A Perfect Amish Romance is Shelley Shepard Gray's first book in her new series, The Berlin Bookmobile. The story follows Sarah Anne Miller, the bookmobile librarian, as she helps the people that come to see her. In the first installment, she even plays a little bit of matchmaker. Aaron is a young Amish man and, in order to get a promotion, he wants to get his GED. Sarah Anne finds him a tutor, Kayla, also a young Amish woman who had taken the test herself. As they study together, they find themselves growing closer and attracted to each other. However, Kayla has some problems at home with her dad and it looks as if the troubles may come between the two of them. Also, Aaron's sister Tiny has been in love with Joel for as long as she can remember, but he is slow to court her and make his intentions known. When rumors abound about him and a young widow, she can't help but be hurt. Can the two of them make their way past rumors and hurt to the longed for romance they have both always desired? I really enjoyed this book. I love Gray's books and this one was no exception. Not only does she have engaging characters, there is always an important message to be found. In this one, I remembered that love is not always perfect, unless it is God's love for us. And that love truly can conquer a myriad of troubles. Thanks to #NetGalley for the chance to read and review this story. All opinions are my own.

In this tender story by Shelley Shepard Gray, we follow two Amish couples as they learn that no romance is perfect. The bookmobile librarian, which I loved, is not only a lender of books, but a friend and confidant. It did take me me a a little longer to get into the story, but it turned out to be a wonderful tale.
I read book two prior to this one and althought it did answer a couple of questions about the librarian, it did not hender the story at all.
I received a copy from the publisher through Netgalley. All opinions are my own.

Sarah Ann Miller is the new librarian for the book mobile. The book follows her first year in the Berlin, Ohio community. She comes to realize that being the bookmobile librarian is far more than recommending books. Most of all she's a listener. Throughout the year, she witnesses a few romances and realizes her life is enriched by each of her patrons. Overall, a cute and sweet story that won't tax your brain but maybe lift your spirits.

Another great start to a series by a wonderful author. A Perfect Amish Romance brings together Aaron Coblentz and Kayla Kaufman. Aaron wants his GED so he can advance at work. Kayla is harboring secrets. When Sarah Anne, the Bookmobile librarian, brings these two together, will they be able to find their true paths? Can happily ever after come in real life? I look forward to the next story. I received a copy through Netgalley. A review was not required.

What do you get when you have a new bookmobile driver and Amish patrons with secrets? You get A Perfect Amish Romance in more ways than one!

I admit I almost returned this book to the library without giving it a chance. Why do you ask? It was painful to read. Kayla is working through the death of her mom while caring for her dad. I am in the same boat although my caregiving is different. I am happy I stuck with the pain as I have gained so much encouragement and insight. I have written a lot down for future reference when I get overwhelmed.

This is a clean read that is also a quick read. The short chapters are perfect for those who don't have much time to read in one sitting. I enjoyed the short chapters as they allowed me to stop, digest and reflect on the wisdom imparted.

I originally received a copy from the publisher, Gallery Books, through NetGalley but read a finished copy from my local library. All opinions expressed in the above review are entirely my own.

This was such a heartwarming story, full of family, friendship, humor and soul deep dreams.
I truly loved every aspect of A Perfect Amish Romance and highly recommend it to Amish Fiction lovers, or anyone looking for a sweet and wonderful story!

Another great book written by Shelley Shepard Gray. This is the first book in The Berlin Bookmobile series and I can't wait for the next book to be published!

In this book, the reader will meet a variety of characters who are both Amish and English. Sarah Anne is an Englisher who is the librarian of the bookmobile. She knows Kayla, a 26 year old Amish woman who still lives at home, works for her aunt at the fabric store, and also tutors students. Sarah Anne also knows Aaron, who is Amish and studying for his GED. Sarah Anne suggests that Aaron receive tutoring from Kayla. Aaron and Kayla soon realize that they enjoy meeting for study sessions. Is there possibly something more there for them to discover? Could they become a couple?

A great book that captured me until the end.

I received an ARC from NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
