Know that this is a re-release of a book originally published in 1998, which means that parts of it will seem quite dated; most notably, some much might have been different were there only cellphones! That said, the basic premise of twins- Maggie and Marquise- who have both a psychic connection and and a shared love of Thane- will pull you though. Marquise has gone missing and Maggie is determined to find her. Why has Marquise run away? Is Thane a good guy or a bad guy? Many questions for sure but no spoilers from me. Jackson's more recent work is better, I think, bit this is entertaining. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. It's a fast read.

Could not go further than the first few chapters as I got stuck with the time period and bad analogies. Example, the use of cell phone that was not desired in a isolated ranch.

Maggie knows that something has happened to her twin sister Mary but the police don’t seem to be taking it seriously. And now that Thane is here to help everything doesn’t make sense. Can she trust him to help her find out what happened to Mary? He hurt her so much before he broke her young heart when he left her fir her more beautiful twin. Can she ever forgive him for betraying her? Where has Mary/Marquise disappeared to and what does Thane have to do with it? Maggie knows that she can’t give up looking for her sister but she scared that she is about to lose her daughter Becca as well. She knows that she has to go with Thane even though she can’t understand why he is so intend on helping? Will they find the answers that they are all searching for? A good read. I was lucky enough to receive a copy from Netgalley and the publisher in exchange for my honest review.

Identical twins, one good and the other evil. Maggie is the only likeable character in the story but she's so naive that it's annoying. Mary Teresa has too many names and is such a conniving person that it's hard not to see what's she's up to. The whole ordeal about Becca and her aunt did not make sense. The book was a bit disjointed and just okay.

This author has been a favorite of mine for many years and this book lived up to my expectations. She knows how to spin a tale of intrigue and speeds off leaving you hanging on just waiting for the end to hit. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a thrill, you won't be disappointed.

Twice Kissed, is a re-release from 1998. Was different reading an older book. People smoking then public places and not too many having cellphones was two of the main things that caught my eye.
Twice Kissed, is a great suspense, romance novel.

The book is interesting but not up to par with her other books. The characters aren’t very likable. Maggie was a good person but she seemed awfully gullible. I wanted to like Shane but he lied a lot and created his own problems. I would start to get into the storyline and it would teeter off into the weird. Overall it was worth reading and I enjoyed it. It wasn’t what I would expect in quality of writing from Lisa Jackson, which in part could be because it was originally published over a decade ago. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced free copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. I received a copy from the publisher through NetGalley.

Two identical sisters, except one is missing. Maggie leaves her quiet life in Idaho to search for her missing twin starlet sister, accompanied by her sister's ex husband, who used to be Maggie's boyfriend, Thane. It's a twisted, warped story. There are lots of curves amd bends in the story road. I liked Thane the best. I didn't care for Mary Theresa, who is self absorbed. I battled between liking and disliking Maggie. The plot held my attention because I absolutely had to see what happened.

This was my second read by Lisa Jackson, after having recently read my first book of hers, and now I understand what all the hype is about. She’s an excellent writer that keeps you turning the pages at a frantic pace until you have reached the very end.

This was an excellent, suspenseful mystery that was filled with twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat and reading long into the night.

This is one of my shorter reviews, as I don’t want to give anything away and feel that it’s best to go into this one blindly for the best possible reading experience.

Highly recommend!

Fair warning, this book is a rerelease so expect some dated elements. Most especially the characters are always checking their answering machines and missing phone calls while they are out. Gasp, no cell phones! I find it tough to read a "contemporary" novel these days when it isn't really contemporary but it is recently released. I definitely would have preferred that the author update the story before re-releasing it. That said, I have to say I much prefer the later works written by Lisa Jackson. This story seemed disjointed, throwing in pieces that never really get followed up on like the author wasn't quite sure what direction she wanted to take the story in. Too many loose ends and then the final chapter just wrapped up too neatly. Overall, I was left a bit disappointed.

I have always enjoyed reading Lisa Jackson’s books, however I found this one left me feeling meh. I did not connect with any of the characters, they were unlikeable and not fleshed out enough.. I guessed one of the twists and the other twists was underwhelming and again not fleshed out enough for me to care.

I would like to thank Netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this book.

This was very well-written, and the concept of twins with a telepathic connection is very much up my alley. However, I wasn’t a big fan of the execution; it was prolonged, the pace was a bit slow and unfortunately I was letdown by the unoriginal ending. Maybe I’m just not the right audience for this book, but I think other “romantic suspense” lovers might enjoy it more than I did.

I read this book when it was first published around 15 years ago. I did read it again as I could not remember a lot about the story line. I do like books with twins and Lisa Jackson is one of my favorite authors. I flat out did not like one of the main characters but did enjoy the boo but it was not one of my favorite books by her. . Not sure why this older book was re released Again

Twice Kissed by author Lisa Jackson is more romance than mystery/thriller. This book was first published in 2006 and I do not understand why it is being released again. I have read many Lisa Jackson books that were thrilling with suspense but Twice Kissed is NOT one of those books. I was disappointed at how shallow the mystery was written because I know this author has written some awesome thrillers. I could see where this book was headed by the second chapter, but I didn't anticipate a dollop of incest being thrown into the mix.
Maggie Macrae has a twin sister, Marquise, who goes missing from her home and job. Thane Walker, who was Maggie's first boyfriend and her sister's current ex, arrives at Maggie's ranch to convince her to come with him to Denver to clear his name and help find Mary Teresia. Maggie's daughter is being rebellious since her mother moved them to a small ranch in the middle of 'nowhere' Idaho.
If you want to read a romance with a little bit of mystery, and a lot of family drama, you will like the book.

I'll start by saying I'm a big Lisa Jackson fan. I enjoyed this book a lot. You have Maggie and Marquise who are twins and Thane the ex husband of one and the first love of the other. When Marquise goes missing in Denver it brings Maggie and Thane together. I'm stopping here because I don't want to spoil anything.

Maggie has a twin sister, Marquise, who is missing. Marquise lives in Denver and co host of a morning tv show. There are several suspects including Thane,Marquise’s ex husband and Maggie’s first lover. Thane and Marquise betrayed Maggie and she swears to never trust Thane again. Maggie goes to Denver with Thane to talk to the police. Maggie learns her sister was keeping secrets and maybe she didn’t know her twin like she thought. Thane is also keeping secrets and Maggie knows but he refuses to confide in her. Can Maggie find her sister and keep her heart from being broken again?
Not very much information in this review because I was afraid I’d give something away. Lots of suspense and some sex. I was totally shocked at the end. Be prepared to be blown away. The only thing I didn’t like was being in the present and then a section going back when they were teenagers.

A good book with good characters. Twins Mary Theresa and Maggie were super close, until they hit those teen years but never in a million years did Maggie ever think her twin would hurt her this way.

Now with a stage name and in L. A. Mary Theresa has gone missing. What has happened to her and by whom? And to make matters worse Maggie must team up with Thane to help find out and clear his name.

I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
