What a cute cozy mystery with lots of characters to wonder about. Many ways this book could have ended and I have to say that not only was it a cute teddy bear series but it has the mysteries to keep you enthralled and entertained as well.

Another sweet cozy mystery in my favorite teddy bear series. I really enjoyed seeing the relationship between Sasha and her boyfriend unfold more during the Valentines season and I loved all the humor in the story. The mystery of who killed the groom before his wedding had great twists and I enjoyed figuring out who did it. I highly recommend this book and series

This is the fourth in the Teddy Bear Mysteries.

Sasha Silverman and her sister Maddie are bridesmaids at Cissy Davison's upcoming wedding in Silver Hollow. The best man is Cissy's sister's ex-boyfriend and Cissy is fuming.
As if things couldn't get any worse, Sasha and Maddy find the best man's dead body in the woman's restroom at the rehearsal dinner.

Naturally, Cissy's sister is the prime suspect so her family ask Sasha to identify the real killer.

This was a fun book with great characters.

The author gives us a mystery that has several potential suspects, plenty of clues, a few red herrings, and some twists and turns that will lead you to a suspenseful and climatic reveal. There is an underlying secret that will eventually work it's way to the surface and gives the reader the motive behind why the killer killed Dylan. The main characters are well developed and full of personality that make them feel like old friends. Some of the new characters could have used a little bit more development, they seemed to be a little one dimensional. The author does a nice job of describing the main characters, and the places in town so you can get a picture of what things look like while you're reading the book.

Sasha and Maddie had a lot more patience than I would have had if I had to deal with a bridezilla like Cissy, I would have told her that I no longer wanted to be in the wedding party and walked away. I thought that the subplot involving the shady men wanting to buy teddy bears was a little unnecessary for this book and could have been made into a full blown mystery for a future book. I liked the subplot of the extended family coming for a visit and the town coming together for a worthy cause to help with a charity. I enjoyed the antics of Cissy's dog when it came to the wedding rings even if it did end up being a little messy in the end. I enjoy Sasha's process for working on the mystery and eliminating suspects and that she isn't opposed to admitting she might be wrong about something or someone. I look forward to reading Bear a Wee Grudge to see what the characters get up to in town.

I received an ARC of this book from Kensington through NetGalley for my honest review.

Sasha is serving as a bride’s maid for “the wedding event of the winter,” when she and her sister Maddie discover the body of the almost universally disliked best man. There is no shortage of suspects from among the many women of the bridal party who admit to a past with him or the men of the bridal party who felt cheated during a bachelor party poker game.

Once again Meg Macy has created a murder mystery that is thought out and well organized, leaving several feasible suspects to keep the reader guessing until the very end. Like always, the character subplots and the interactions of the town’s people are the life of the story. While the whodunnit fuels the story, I was really very interested in the new shops in town, the new neighbors, and the new gossip. It is small touches like that that will keep this series going forward. That plus adorable bears that I wish I could order.

So, why should you read this book? The author has a captivating writing style and has offered an array of colorful characters along with a genuinely interesting and suspenseful plot. There is substantial mention of the previous books in the series, but this could probably be read alone with few issues.

⭐⭐⭐⭐
Rating: 4 out of 5.

These are adorable cozy mysteries with a good family dynamic and secondary characters. Did not disappoint!

Wedding Bear Blues by Meg Macy is the fourth installment of the cozy Shamelessly Adorable Teddy Bear Mystery series. Like most cozy mysteries each book of this series contains it’s own mystery within that will be solved so they can be read as a standalone or in any order if choosing to do so. However, there is some character development that carries over book to book for those reading in order.

The first book of this series introduced Sasha Silverman who after her divorce became the manager of the Silver Bear Shop and Factory which is like a build a bear type of business. Sasha’s parents own the bear factory in the town of Silver Hollow but had retired from working the business turning over the day to day operations to Sasha.

It’s now Valentine’s at the Silver Bear Shop and Factory and Sasha and her sister, Maddie, are going to be bridesmaids in wedding just in time for the holiday. The ladies however are not enjoying the wedding events due to there being tension over the groom’s choice of best man however when the best man is found murdered Sasha vows once again to find the killer.

I have been following the Shamelessly Adorable Teddy Bear Mystery series from the beginning after not being able to resist those adorable covers. This one isn’t quite as quirky as I normally fall in love with but I’ve gotten to know these characters and do quite enjoy them. I have though felt that to me these are a bit slow paced not being sure if that’s the lack of quirkiness or not but that leaves me to rate at three and a half stars.

I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley.

The sixth book in the Shamelessly Adorable Teddy Bear Mystery series by Meg Macy is Wedding Bear Blues. I enjoy this series but this was not my favorite book. Sasha and her sister Maddie are in a wedding with the most annoying people on earth plus an annoying dog. I had a bit of trouble keeping all of the extra characters straight. The book dragged a bit in sections. The main characters were still wonderful, and the mystery was strong. A small bump in the series is not enough to keep from reading the next book!

Weddings and brides are a pain most of the time; add a bride that makes demands that are a bit outrageous, and, surprisingly, she isn’t the victim of murder. Unfortunately for Sasha, in the new addition to the “Shamelessly Adorable Teddy Bear Mystery” series, Wedding Bear Blues she has to tolerate the demands to make everyone happy. Then just when she thought things couldn’t get any worse, the best man is murdered, and it’s up to her to find the killer and save the wedding.

The main character Sasha, her sister, Maddie, and the entire family are delightful characters. But the bride, groom, and their entourage are almost unbearable! It comes as no surprise when the best man is killed or when Sasha is put on the spot and asked to solve the murder so the wedding can be rescheduled. Even though she isn’t very fond of the bride and doesn’t care about any of the other bridal party members, except for her sister, she agrees to help.

With everything Sasha has going on, the bear factory, her aunt and uncle and their sick daughter visiting, a fundraiser to coordinate, and the demands of her personal life, she doesn’t have time for a demanding bride or a murder investigation. Suspects are everywhere, and evidence is almost none existent. There are a great many turns and twists that will keep readers flipping the page and trying to figure out who didn’t have a motive to kill the best man, and later on, a bridesmaid.

In the end, Sasha uncovers the killer’s identity and gets a confession witnessed by several people. The wedding takes place after several attempts, and the bride is at long last happy and undemanding. The fundraiser is a great success and brought in donated teddy bears from everywhere and money to help not only Sasha’s young cousin but other people living with cancer. All-in-all, everything worked out for the best. Sasha can put away her detective cap once again. Wedding Bear Blues is a hit.

This is the fourth book in the series and the first I read from this author. It was a great cozy with lots of twists and turns to keep me guessing on whodunit. There are A LOT of characters in this book, and I think I would have benefited from reading them from the start as it was sometimes a lot to keep track of. However the author does a great job in reminding you who characters are and I thoroughly enjoyed this mystery set in the world of a bear-making shop. I received a copy of this book on Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

While this one wasn't my favorite book in the series, the secondary characters drove me nut. But I loved being back in the world and Sasha is one of my favorite mystery heroines and what's not to love about teddy bears.

This is book 4 in the Shamelessly Adorable Teddy Bear Mystery series. It can be read as a stand alone. Sasha and her sister are part of the wedding party for the Valentines event of the year. But now the best man has been murdered in the ladies room during the rehearsal dinner and the list of suspects is big. With the bride having a meltdown and her dog losing the rings the chaos is unbelievable. The story did drag a little in some places but it's a good cozy for a cold evening. The Silver Bear shop is thriving and the family is looking to expand. A good story. I received a copy of this ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.

I have only read the first book in this series prior to reading this one. I thought this one was actually much better than the first one. My only complaint, which is why I took away a star, is there were so many characters in this book I had trouble keeping them straight.

Sasha Silverman gets roped into being in the wedding party for bride Cissy. She reluctantly joins in the festivities, despite Cissy's clear bridezilla tendencies. However, the best man turns up dead at the rehearsal dinner, postponing the wedding and roping Sasha into proving the maid-of-honor's innocence since she hated the best man rather vociferously until he turned up dead.

I enjoyed the teddy bear aspect of this story and Sasha's familial interactions. This book is improved over the first one as there were minute details but they were not overly documented like the first book. However, as I mentioned there were so many people in the wedding party who were integral to the plot, it was difficult to remember who was who and married to whom. A "cast of characters" list in the beginning of the book would have been helpful. Either that or maybe giving them more distinct names. We had a Frank, Steve, Eric and Bob, all kind of forgettable names when you smoosh them together in the same room.

I look forward to more books in this series.

Sasha and Maddie work hard in the family bear factory, with special bears, all made behind the showroom. It's the weekend of Valentine's Day and the Valentine's bears are a hit. With Cissy's wedding coming up, they're thinking of wedding bears as the next specialty bear. Sasha isn't sure why she agreed to be in the wedding party. Maddie is the one friends with Cissy, not her, and Cissy is the bridezilla of weddings. Honestly, I expected her to be the victim.

The wedding connects many of the characters, with all the bridesmaids and groomsmen. Adding to the tension, Cissy's sister, the maid of honor, has history with the best man, Dylan. In fact, not too many, other than the groom, Gus, seem to like Dylan. That makes it tricky, when he's murdered. Although not part of the wedding party, Sasha's ex also makes an appearance with his new bride-to-be.

The characters are well-developed and there are some surprises along the way, including a second murder. There's also a fundraiser to benefit research for brain cancer in children and teddy bears being used for child pornography - the ones made by a competitor.

All in all, this was an engaging read with interesting subplots and an interesting cast of characters. If you like cozy mysteries, you will enjoy this one. Although the fourth in the series, it's the first one I've read. It can be easily read as a stand alone.

FTC Disclosure: I received a complimentary copy of this book in the hopes that I would post an honest review. This has not affected the content of my review in any way.

Wedding Bear Blues was another charming addition to the Shamelessly Adorable Teddy Bear Mystery series.

Valentine's Day is one of the Silver Bear Shop's busiest holidays and this year is no exception. Sasha Silverman doesn't know how she'll get everything she has planned done which is in large part due to being a bridesmaid in Cissy Davison's Valentine's Day wedding. Cissy is a demanding bride and when her groom won't budge on his choice of best man, the scoundrel who broke her sister Debbie's heart, she's anything but happy. When the best man is found dead at the rehearsal dinner, Debbie becomes the prime suspect which prompts Cissy to beg Sasha to prove Debbie's innocence.

The mystery of who killed Dylan, the best man, was well done with several potential suspects. Debbie is the obvious suspect due to her public hatred of the man and several altercations between the pair leading up to the wedding. With Sasha working to clear Debbie, she takes a look at the other people in the wedding party since the killer has to be among them. Dylan was a jerk, so he definitely had problems with a majority of the people involved in the wedding, meaning any one of them could have killed him. I enjoyed Sasha's process for eliminating suspects and how she wasn't opposed to admitting she could be wrong about someone. Ultimately I ended up being surprised by the killer's identity as I had another person pegged as the killer. I will say the ending and reveal were a bit anti-climactic. I would have preferred a more suspenseful ending, but overall I thought the story was well done.

The characters in this series are fantastic and I enjoy them more with each book. Sasha's Aunt Eve in particular is a favorite of mine. I like that Sasha's friends and family know she can't stay out of an investigation involving her friends. The fact they all help her where possible is nice and it's great to see how supportive they are of each other. This book does have a bit less of a focus on the Silver Bear Shop than some of the previous installments in the series as the murder has nothing to do with the shop. I do enjoy the shop, who wouldn't with adorable teddy bears everywhere, so I am happy that the set up for the next book appears to show it will be a main focus in the next book.

Overall Wedding Bear Blues was an excellent read and I'm looking forward to reading the next book in the series when it comes out.

Wedding Bear Blues by Meg Macy is another beary-filled wonderment for this small village.

Can Sasha solve a murder so the wedding can continue?

Sasha Silverman
Sasha Silverman is our sleuth who's back to solve another mystery. She is the manager of her family's teddy bear factory right there in their small village. I still like the fact that Sasha is different from other sleuths in the way that she doesn't seem to have a crush on the detective but also in the way that she handles her involvements in the cases.

Sasha is trying to do what the bride wants while running the factory and dealing with a lot of busy business during Valentine's and for a while after that. Especially figuring out how to keep people coming to their store. I like that because she's the only sleuth that I know of who works at a teddy bear factory where they actually make the bears there on site.

The Mystery
At the rehearsal dinner, the best man is murdered, and the bride's parents task Sasha to keep their other daughter, the maid of honor, from going to jail. Sasha has a fun time trying to get people to actually talk about it when they don't want to talk about it. The police aren't having any luck either. Sasha ends up thinking that she knows who did it but was proven wrong. There are so many things happening in this village. Who knows what else will happen as Sasha tries to solve who would kill the best man.

Four Stars
Wedding Bear Blues by Meg Macy is a fun-filled mystery with a lot of teddy bear humor. I liked that Sasha got to be a teddy bear doctor who was super cute. Ms. Macy has done a great job of bringing these characters and this town in Michigan to life. She does it in such a fun way. Sasha is a hoot, and her sister actually helped a lot with solving this crime. I guessed who did it sort of right away, but I talked myself out of it. Mostly because I couldn't think of the motive. I am giving this book five stars and recommending it to anyone that wants to read it.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy from the Great Escapes Book Tours. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.
