I loved Kyli and Devon's story. I loved the vanilla vs. salted caramel comparison and I loved that Devon was so protective of Kyli and Ivy and I loved that it didn't matter that she was caring another man's child. I loved that there is a happy ending and that Kyli makes peace with her ex. I loved almost everything about this story. . . except for the language. Unfortunately, I feel like the foul language cheapened the story.

I was given an arc copy of this book and I willingly offer my honest review.

This was a short but sweet romance by a new-to-me author. It was a quick and easy read but still entertaining. The main characters were charming, and it was great to see their friendship grow into love. Their witty banter provided plenty of amusement.

It seems a bit of a cliche to call this novel sweet, but there's no word more suitable.

Kyli's marriage collapsed right around the time she discovered she was pregnant. Abandoned by her so called friends, she retreats back home to work in her dad's shop, making toasted sandwiches and scooping ice cream. Sparks fly with the hot mechanic across the road, she has a baby on the way. Devon can't possibly want her, can he?

If you're looking for a light and fluffy short romance, this is a good choice. I especially enjoyed the resolution with the ex (given he's the baby daddy). My one quibble is that while there are no sex scenes, there's more lust than UST and it is perhaps a bit more graphic than suitable for a 'sweet' romance. This almost falls in the middle between sweet and steamy; it wouldn't take more than a quick edit to push it firmly over to 'sweet'.

I received a copy of this book from NetGalley, all opinions are my own.

This book was a no for me. The premise sounded cute and like a great book. But the writing and actual story just werent great. It seemed rather immature and not well written.

An entertaining and well written second chance romance. I highly recommend this book. I received an advance ebook from the publisher and this is my unbiased review.

Forgive me for this unusually scattered review. It’s just that this book seems to bring out scattered thoughts.

Kyli Ryder is newly divorced, four months pregnant, and working at her father’s ice cream shop when she meets mechanic Devon Daughtry. Devon is immediately smitten but has his work cut out for him trying to win Kyli over.

My initial impression of this book is that it has a split personality. At first glance of the cover, you think you’re going to get a sweet, tender love story about a hurting woman and the man who wins her over despite her hesitation and pregnancy. And things certainly seemed to be going along that way, for like three pages. Then things sort went all over the place for me.

First, the good...

I love a hero who is single minded in his determination to win over the woman he falls in love with (even if it's irrationally quick). I liked how there wasn't a lot of extraneous drama between Devon and Kyli - Kyli is understandably reluctant to believe a man would want her when she's pregnant with another man's baby, plus she's just plain hesitant to get involved after being betrayed by her husband and best friend. And the big surprise in this book...I thought it was dumb they kept saying they had to wait until after she had the baby to have sex (because pregnant people DO get to have sex!), but that part of the book actually ended up pulling my rating up a star.

But then...

My eye rolling started because the hero continually breaks out the chest-pounding, alpha-male behavior, starting with telling the heroine he should spank her ass. He says this to her, like, the second day he talks to her.

Then a couple days later he actually DOES swat her on her bum, before they’re even a couple.

But those weren’t the only things that had me rolling my eyes…

We have a juvenile, high school-esque bully scene in a bar bathroom.

An ex-husband who acts like a ridiculous, caricature of a bad guy.

And cringe-worthy nicknames. I’m not a fan of nicknames to begin with, and the couple constantly calling each other Dev and Ky (in addition to him calling her Sweet Thing the second time he talked to her...and the nicknames just got more plentiful and goofy as the book went on), just made me...cringe.

So this one was a big miss for me.

This is my first book by Amy's Sharpe but it will no be my last. The main character is pregnant and going through a divorce. She returns to her home town and works in her Dad's ice cream shop in Cape Cod. She is setting on the floor in a pool of water when Devon comes in for a plain vanella in a waffle cone. Then he makes that his daily great just to see Kyli. Kylie is a salted caramel girl, and they start teasing and flirting over icecream. As Devon gets to know her better be falls hard. He knows she is a package deal but that is okay with him.Does she let him into her life ? Does she care take a chance ? Read This great book and see if love can be happily ever after for these two.. Thank you Net Galley for allowing me to read and review this book.

This is a sweet, quick read. Characters were likable & plot wasn't explosive, which is a nice change of pace. I really enjoyed reading this book!

Pregnant and licking her wounds from a messy divorce, Kyli Ryder returns home for the summer to work at her dad's Cape Cod ice cream shop. The small town is a familiar haven as she wraps her brain around a sudden future as a single mom.

From the minute Kyli and Devon Daughtry laid eyes on each other—as she sat on the floor in a puddle of dishwasher water—there was an unexpected spark. Their friendly flirting and teasing over his daily vanilla waffle cone becomes a salted caramel seduction metaphor for Devon's growing attraction.

Hooked by the undeniable connection between them—one which Kyli refuses to admit, and Devon refuses to ignore—she's a package deal he's intent on having in his life. Can Devon sweet talk his way into her heart, ultimately proving it's okay to love again?

Good book! Lovely quick story with a happy ending. I really enjoyed it. Loveable characters. The plot was a little rushed in places but I wasn't expecting a masterpiece. Perfect palet clenser and I did really enjoy the lightheardness.

Thank you NetGalley and The Wild Rose Press, Inc for the advanced reading copy. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I am so in love with these two, especially Devon.

This is my second time reading Anya Sharpe and I have enjoyed both books. Sharpe is so good in creating sweet, believable chemistry between the male and female leads. I also love the fact that neither of these characters are over-the-top loaded (Kyli is a former school teacher, Devon is a mechanic(?)) The realism of their lives made me enjoyable this story so much more.

This story was very cute. I loved how dedicated Mr. Boring A** Vanilla is to his Ms. Salted Caramel. Although she thought her life was over after finding out she was not only pregnant, but her husband was filing for a divorce in the works, Devon, AKA Vanilla, taught her that she deserves to find her own happiness too.

This is a clean romance that was enjoyable in a lot of ways. However, there wasn't as much depth to the story as I would have liked. And I was a little surprised by how much profanity there was in a book that is supposed to be a clean romance. Overall, through, the book was good.

Does love conquer all?

Here we go. First let me say this was a first introduction to this author. I really enjoyed this book however it does lack depth through the entire story. It has great characters with amazing values but it’s more brushed over than built on. It kept me interested throughout. I really loved the characters and the way they interacted with each other. With that said it could have been so much more. If your looking for a fast quick romance book this is for you.

1. I do not do spoilers unless warned.
2. Read the summary above; it will tell you what the book is about. I will not reiterate.
3. Even though this is a shorter book, the Characters are well developed and likeable. No loose ends.
4. Plot is a bit different but in no way takes away from the story. In fact, I loved that there really wasn’t a big, drawn out conflict for the characters.
5. No errors that I caught as far as editing.
6. It’s an enjoyable mostly ‘clean’ but still sexy romance. Nothing very graphic but admit it, sometimes, things are better left to the imagination. this is one of those times. I classify this as bubblegum for the brain: Keeps you occupied for a time and leaves you with a nice taste in your mouth. I'd read more from this author

Sweet, clean romance. Kyli's marriage is in trouble. Her husband suggests that they try and start a family. After she's pregnant she finds out that her husband is having an affair. She leaves him and moves back to her hometown. There working in fathers ice cream shop she meets Dev who likes vanilla ice cream.
