Ok, you know how sometimes you need a palate cleanser when you're reading? This book serves that purpose most definitely! Predictable, feel-good, quick read, and not perfect - those are descriptors for a palate-cleansing book.
If you're reading this review, you know what the book is about. Is it worth reading? Sure. This is one of those second-chance books. Jake is annoying at times, and his internal dialogue was rough in the beginning. Corinne was similar, though we don't get her inner dialogue, as this book is written from Jake's point of view. She's a bit whip-lashy with her emotions, but then again, she's a teenage girl, so I suppose that's to be expected.
Look, this isn't a deep, character-developing book. It's not life-changing. It's a Christian book that deals with some sad situations. There are some grammar mistakes and words used wrong, but I was able to over look them.
I rounded this one up from 3.5 to 4.
