As a theatre nerd in high school who almost religiously watched whose line is it anyways this book spoke to me! I love it. Loved loved loved it. The characters were relatable and the romance heartfelt.

The main character Hollyn is an entertainment blogger with Tourette Syndrome. She is trying to become a full-time entertainment journalist at a local newspaper but feels apprehension about writing with her own name and face instead of her online persona Miz Poppy.
I really liked the premise of this story; a shy nerd attempting to break out of her shell finding success and love. Who doesn't love an underdog plot? But I became uninterested as soon as a scheme brewed between Hollyn and her love interest, Jasper. That's where I tapped out not being interested in how down on his luck actor Jasper was going to open up the world for Hollyn. So I admit I didn't finish the book. I love Roni Loren and I'm sure the ending was her usual mix of heart-stopping realization of undeniable love for Hollyn or Jasper because one of them screwed up (bet), however, the hook wasn't strong enough to keep me reading.

Thank you netgalley for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This was a disappointing novel by a favorite author of mine. The pace of this story was so slow and dragged. Yes, I appreciate that the author wants to build a solid friendship between Holly and Jasper but their interactions ended up tense and awkward. Just too much packed in a short novel. J

This was a cute rom-com, unlike anything I"ve read from Roni Loren before. I really enjoyed it. While it didn't blow my socks off, I"ll definitely keep reading the series. I want to see whatever stories she decides to write!

This book is an easy and cute romantic comedy. The characters are very likeable and the plot is very enjoyable while reading nothing felt rushed or too slow. The main character had Tourette's and anxiety which are discussed. really well. It is filled with humor and witty banter which I liked.
The fake dating trope is a favorite of mine, so I really enjoyed the interactions between Hollyn and Jasper. This story has a great message and I would definitely recommend reading it.

"Yes, and ..." is the first rule of improv. Agree with what your scene partner has said and keep moving forward with a choice that will either move the scene in a new direction or propel it forward. In "Yes & I love you" Roni Loren has put this rule of improv into story form.
Hollyn Tate is in a rut. She loves writing as anonymous entertainment blogger, Miz Poppy. Hiding behind her avatar has allowed her to keep her facial tics caused by Tourettes out of the public eye. But things aren't perfect for Hollyn. The site that she freelances for wants her to change the blog to a vlog and put a face to her reviews. The thought of putting her facial tics on display has Hollyn...well...ticcing.
Enter Jasper Deares, an improv actor trying to get a theater off the ground for him and his improv group. Jasper agrees to help Hollyn prepare for her close up if she can stir up some publicity for his group. The two enter a mutually beneficial arrangement that soon has them blurring the lines of improv and reality.
Branching out from her typical steamy romances, Loren has crafted characters that make you feel like you're rooting for your best friends. This isn't a ground breaking book, but the representation of Tourettes isn't something usually seen in books. I appreciate that Hollyn wasn't the only character with Tourettes (her best friend also deals with Tourettes through both physical and verbal tics) and that the syndrome was shown on a spectrum rather than a one-size-fits all.
The story itself is quiet, the plot moving along at a realistic pace. There's no melodrama, no eye-roll inducing plot twists, just the quiet story of two people trying to love themselves and each other. Plus those sexy scenes...Roni Loren (known for her adult romances) certainly didn't disappoint her loyal readers!

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
This was a great book! The main character has a difficult challenge to face - Hollyn has Tourette’s syndrome, She writes a well known column about the night life in New Orleans under an alias. When she’s attracted to a new guy who works at her office, she’s not sure what to do. It’s a lovely story of 2 people who fall for each other against some tough odds. Hollyn’s Tourette’s is handled with such sensitivity. I learned a few things as well as enjoying a cute romance.

a lot of trigger warnings needed for this. although it was a romance i didn’t leave the book with sense of fulfillment or even the good type of pain.

This was a different kind of romance than I normally read, but I liked it ok. The characters were interesting but it took me awhile to get into the story.

Been putting this on multiple customer orders for Tailored Book Recommendations - http://mytbr.co
So thanks for the review copy! My netgalley reviews are slowing due to ocular fatigue, so I'm mostly taking print review copies from now on.

Ronnie Ryan is a fabulous writer in this novel is just another notching her about an example of her brilliance with words.

I did not find the first 35% of this book enjoyable, For me it was missing the spark that I loved from previous Loren novels. I marked it as DNF as it felt like nothing that happening.

I did relate to the protagonist's social anxiety, but I was expecting cute romantic comedy without erotic parts, and this expectation wasn't reached. Despite that, I'm not sure whether the book is bad or if it's just not my cup of tea. The line between those was ambiguous in this one.

There were parts of this book I really liked and other parts that made me so uncomfortable, I questioned on if I should keep going. I related to Hollyn's anxiety in some ways and in other ways, it was painful to read about. I liked Jasper from the beginning even when I thought he was going to let me down. Cal. I don't want to talk about Cal. He gave me a pit in my stomach when reading his character.
There was a lot of great character growth. I'm a bit bummed we didn't get to read some of the scenes with Andi and Hollyn just being friends out on the town. I think that would have shown some more growth on Hollyn's behalf and I wished I could have a snippet of their friendship.
Overall, it was cute BUT I had a pit in my stomach for a lot of it based on Cal and just Hollyn's overall anxiety. Not the vibe I want in a romance to be honest.

Fantastic book. As a lover of all things rom-com, this book was so much more. The depth of Hollyn's character was outstanding, and I could relate to her social anxiety. Readers will cheer for her as she conquers her fears and setbacks one at a time. And Jasper...swoon!

I loved this book so much!!! Jasper and Hollyn were everything!!
This entire book just put a huge smile in my face and made my heart so happy. This book definitely has serious moments, but overall the feel of it is just happy. I felt like I was surrounded by a cloud of joy (is that even a thing? who knows...)
I loved the improv aspect of it and how much it was weaved into the story. I loved that Jasper encourages and supports Hollyn from day 1. He truly believes in her and wants her to succeed and to believe in herself.
I could just sit here gushing about this book forever, but I'm just going to stop here and tell you to run to pick this up if you haven't yet.

This was not what i expected from this cover but I loved it. The banter was perfect and the steam was even better. I cannot wait to recommend this book to all my friends!

Really well done book, I think this book really well portrays someone who has Tourette's and I enjoyed the relationship between the two main characters. I think that the story progresses well throughout the novel in showing the developing relationship as well. Really enjoyed this story from Roni Loren and am excited to see future books in this series.

This is a great romance story with some laughs, a lot of swooning, and a really lovely message. Cute, emotional, entertaining reading with quirky but so many adorable characters.

What a feel good, comforting, sexy book. Wow. I was rooting for our girl Hollyn every step of the way. She was the one who had Tourette's and a considerable amount of anxiety about her facial ticks but she was by far the more brave and courageous character. It is really hard to uphold true to others, and true to yourself honesty and as much as it scared her, she would do it. And real communication would happen. What I hope for, but find little of, in many romance novels I read. I wanted her to have the big grand gesture and the happy ending because she felt so deserving of it. Having Jasper also trying to uphold this honest communication was also amazing to see. And damn, he is so sexy. Give it a read... find out for yourself. There are some very steamy scenes in there to reward you.
I don't want to say much more, I don't want to ruin this great experience for you. Although I don't find the cover very attractive, you should definitely not judge this particular book by its cover.
