Lasagna is one of my favorite meals, so I was excited to read this cookbook. Imagine that excitement crumbling like ground beef as I discovered it was poorly written, confusing and uninspired. Any good cookbook that seeks to take a time honored dish like lasagna and re-imagine it should have pictures of EVERY recipe. Instead? A picture of a leaf of cabbage accompanied one recipe. Then there was the recipe for meatloaf lasagna, sounds interesting right? Well then you read the recipe and you realize that nope, it doesn't make sense and quite frankly I am not that interested in the concept to try and figure this one out.

This book SHOULD not be published in its current form. There will be a lot of disappointed cooks over the holiday who wonder why their friends and family despise them so much for giving them such an incredibly crappy cookbook.

If possible, I would give this book 0 stars

This cookbook had me at Lasagna Bolognese but then...

Get ready for this:

Barbecue Brisket Lasagna and Meatloaf Lasagna and Beef Enchilada Lasagna (Olé!), and wait, wait....
Are you kidding me? Asian Short-Rib Lasagna.

It's like someone was looking into my window and watching me and then mashed up all of my favorite things with my other favorite thing...lasagna.

I cannot wait to try all of these. This cookbook was made for me and the amount of cardio dance I'm going to do to work it off will be no problem because I'll be planning my next lasagna.

Thank you to Tiller Press for gifting me this cookbook. It was my pleasure to write an honest review.

I’m really excited about this cookbook. It offers up a ton of recipes. And many ways to make them. I like that they’re not typical casserole dishes.

This was quite a shock because seriously who knows over a hundred variations of the same dish? I love lasagna but let’s be honest I can count on one hand, how many times a year that I make it because it’s such a decadent dish. I only bookmarked a few recipes to try because really this is just renditions of the same dish and I’m not a lover of Groundhog Day dishes.

What did I like? A few of the recipes that I bookmarked like the Mexican lasagna would be something I would try. Some of the meats like chicken or salmon were a bit outlandish for a lasagna but to each their own....right? This book also has a few desserts that looked yummy but unless you just love lasagna this book would only come out a few nights a year for use.

Would I recommend or buy? Lasagna lovers.... finally a book for you. I’m not a huge lover but there is a recipe for just about everyone in this book...I’m sure. I was glad for a peek.

I received a complimentary copy to read and voluntarily left this opinion. Four stars. The book has some nice pictures to but not for every recipe.

This cookbook is obviously very specific to lasagnas and similar pasta casseroles. I found the Lasagna 101 section to be very helpful, as well as the metric charts at the end. I would have liked to see more photos of the actual recipes, instead of the artistic shots of single ingredients. Not a very versatile cookbook and there weren’t a ton of recipes that I will make, but I’ll certainly be testing out a few!

The layout of the book was too confusing for me to even begin to make a recipe.

The pictures were at the end of the recipe so you had to search to see what you were actually making and what it would look like.

The recipes had way too much information and was not cook friendly, you could not read all that and cook at the same time.

I am highly disappointed

I prefer to read cookbooks with more pictures in it than this one had. The recipes sounded great and not too complicated.

I live and breathe for lasagna, so I was incredibly happy to get a chance to read and review this book.

There are some absolutely amazing recipes to be found in this book. If you have a craving, you'll find a recipe for it here- sweet, salty, chicken, veggie, classic, and more!

The layout of the book was clean and easy to follow, and the photos made everything look delicious, even for picky eaters.

Overall, I know there are more recipes in this book than I will ever use, but I just wish there were more!
