This book is everything I had hoped for. Meg owns a Christmas shop. She loves Christmas and wants to have that feeling year round. Tom comes to town to help a friend with his pub for awhile and the two have sparks aside from one problem...he hates Christmas.

This is the second book in this series from Ashcroft. I loved returning to the town of Lockton, Scotland. The characters are fun and I love the small-town feel of it. This book brought all the warm, cozy Christmas feelings for that quintessential holiday read. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a quick, uplifting Christmas book.

My first read by this author and what a gem of a book!! With all the doom and gloom in the world, this is a chance to escape to a world of romance and traditional Christmas spirit. I loved every page of this brilliantly written book and my thanks go to the author, Bookouture and Netgalley for giving me the opportunity to read this wonderful story.

Meg is a gal after my own heart, I too love Christmas like she does! I love the idea that she puts glitter all over her face....hmmmm, maybe I can do that too!! lol This was such a delightful Christmas story that involves Meg, who owns a Christmas shop year round and Tom, who is in town to help out a friend and is NOT a fan of Christmas. Two people who couldn't be more different but yet the attraction is there and hard to ignore. Tom also has a secret about his past and who he really is so that really adds to the story as well!

I love these small town Christmas stories and all the traditions that they have. This story is so well written and I could just picture it all in my mind. Hearts that are hurting will be healed and the spirit of Christmas will wound its way throughout.

I received an ARC of this book via NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for an early review copy.

The snow is falling and all around it look like a Christmas card scene. Meg has hung a bauble on the Promise Tree and her promise of that she will make a success of her first solo Christmas.

In the Scottish village she runs a year-round Christmas shop, she’s a mad fan of all the things related to Christmas, whether it’s mulled wine, sparkly tinsel/glitter or festive food..

But, then her warring family show up on her doorstep, unexpected, throwing her life into discord and giving her tension. But, Meg is more determined now not to let them ruin her favourite time of the year.

Tom Riley-Clarke, who hates Christmas is here has in the Highlands, as his friend needs help at The Apple Cross Inn.

All he wants to do is work hard and doesn’t want anytime to think about Christmas and all that goes with it, like the mince pies, tinsel or hanging a bauble with his promise on the tree:

His worst nightmare is that Christmas being everyday. You’d never see him buying anything from Megs shop.

The villagers are then so surprised when both Meg and Tom start to spend time together.

But, it seems that Tom has a secret from his past and is wondering when a small town like Lockton will find that out.

So, will everything go as Meg wants, especially when she finds out Toms secret??? Or will her Christmas be nothing like she wants????

It looks like they’ll both learn the long and hard way that sometimes promises, are hard to keep....

A lovely Christmas book, full of all things Christmas. ⛄️❄️🎄🦌🎅

If everyday was Chrismas is my first read by Donna and I loved every moment.

Up in the deep Scottish Highlands Meg runs a Christmas shop and loves everything about Christmas, miles away from her family who unexpectedly turn up.

We are introduced to Tom who is visiting to help out at at friends pub but Meg has no idea who Tom actually is.

They say opposite attracts right? One loves Christmas and one hates it, but why? can they find love?

This is delightful and full of the Joy's of Christmas including a reindeer, what's not to love.
One to read all cosy and wrapped up in a blanket on the sofa.

Big thanks as always to Bookouture

For hundreds of years, the inhabitants of Lockton, a village set deep in the picturesque Scottish Highlands, had made a promise to do something for the community in December. This year's it's the church roof. They have a special, outside Christmas tree where they add promises inside clear plastic baubles. So along with the promise to the village they each add thier own.
Meg Scott loves Christmas and she doesn't understand why nobody else gets it! Her shop is Christmas, her van is Christmas, she's even known to dress up as an elf, oh and she's single!

Tom Riley-Clark is Anti Christmas, so why are sparks flying? He's everything she doesn't want in a relationship. He's not the full package, even if he's hot and single!

It's a beautiful story, boy meets girl, you know it's going to happen, but does it always happen? The journey is full of wonderful surprises. A bit sad and tender in places and a few laugh out loud moments. I honestly couldn't put it down! I had to find out more!

I loved this book. It's wonderful reading on a cosy evening with a mug of hot chocolate and glitter sprinkles!! Because there isn't enough glitter in the world.

I loved the ending, no spoilers but you will understand when you read it. Perfect Christmas reading
