Joan Reeves is one of my favorite light reading authors but I just wasn’t able to get into the story. I don’t want to say yea or nay, just read a bit yourself.

This was such a lovely compilation of books.
Each of these stories focuses on a different couple within a group of friends. With many underlying topics running throughout these books, it adds extra depths to the characters and their stories.
These books are somewhat predictable, however I have to say that is why I am often drawn to books within this genre. I love a well written romance with a happily ever after finishing them off.
I truly enjoyed these books and would really recommend them to romance lovers!.

A beautiful compilation.

I enjoyed reading how these couples met, made up and came together. The stories are different as well as the circumstances. A sweet one.l, although I would have liked them to be longer.

Lovely collection of short stories. Each story with a different couple, but all from the same group of friends. Exploring topics such as vulnerability, affairs, insecurity which it tackles in easygoing and fun way. Plotting as predictable as it is give you that uniquely happy feeling of warmth after reading something genuinely positive.

Book 1: I didn't enjoy this storyline at all. It gave me the heebeejeebees. All the cheating and sneaking and lying. It just made me feel rather uncomfortable and then the twist at the end was just so much of a meh. I want more drama and excitement. I liked the writing style but there was so much repetition of unnecessary backstory that it felt like it was dragging on. The characters were interesting and I'm interested to see where they go in the rest of the series but definitely not the best short romance I've ever read. 2/5 Stars

Book 2: I liked this a lot more than the last one, the plot was much more interesting and the characters were far more fun to read. They had more depth and there was a sweetness to them that actually made you care. I didn't like the ending, it was odd and rushed and very insta-lovesque. Hopefully, the series stays on this track and each book will keep improving on the last. 3/5 Stars.

Book 3:This was a decent read. I really liked the backstory and the build-up of the characters and how they've known each other. I wish we got a bit more from Hunter's perspective because it felt a little onesided. I also wish there had been a bit more tension. Again the ending was a bit abrupt but I think that's just what I have to expect from this series. 3/5 Stars.
Book 4: This one was just as bad as the first. The characters had nothing about them to make you like them or root for them. Their possessiveness and creepy desperate tendencies were not cute or hot to read. There was a massive info dump right at the end of this one that felt forced and odd and had some really pointless information. If your writing something as short as these novellas you can't waste words. It needed more drama and intrigue. All that kept me reading was the writing style and the fact that I knew it was short. 2/5 Stars.
