Shane is here! First of all I would like to give this author a huge fr asking shoutout for not only battling cancer but also coming out more ruthless and amazing as ever! Lily is truly an inspiration.

I was heartbroken when I got to know that this series was being put on hold a few years ago but then even more devastated when I got to know the reason why. And then somehow this woman performs a literal miracle and gives this book to us! I will forever be thankful.

Shane and Brinley have an amazing tale of love and hate. The characters are amazing and the banter in this book is to die for like all the books of this series. This author never fails to make me laugh with her jokes! Next up is Damon and I am so glad to say that we do meet his woman in this book and I am already losing my mind about it.

Definitely recommending this one to all the dark romance loving people out there.

Too short but still an awesome read. I am a sucker for mafia romances and this one did not disappoint. Will definitely read more of this author.

This book is a quick read for those who have an hour or less to read. I liked it as it was not fully your typical mafia romance.

This is toted as a mafia read, however, Daniel is on the edges of it and not in it. Misleading title. The book was a quick read but missing a lot of details. It was hard to fully engage in the book. If it was a longer book with more detail, it would have been a better read.

Thank you NetGalley for this digital ARC. I read it a few months ago but I forgot to review it and went right on to book 2. This book was the first in a line of mafia romance novels which, so far, have all had me on the edge of my seat. I love the romance to action ratio and I love that these men have to work for the woman, not like the other books where the woman is naked in five minutes.

This was a short afternoon read about Daniel, a self-made man who is getting back into the Mafia scene, and his reluctant-to-his-charms assistant, Laura. Their chemistry was believable and I was happy when they finally got together, but there wasn’t much development in their relationship. I would have liked a bit more. All in all it was a fun read.

Good, quick read.
A short story so we kinda only get the basics of strong, independent Laura and mob son turn legit businessman turning back to his mob roots Daniel. I really liked both characters but I would've loved to get more - more story, more side story, more every other part of their story. I hope we hear more from them in the future books of the series.

I really enjoyed this novella.
Daniel is completely unlikeable at the beginning of this book. He is sexist, a womaniser and behaves completely inappropriately with his personal assistants who are all women and hired based on their looks.
I did love Laura. She saw through Daniel chauvinistic facade and played hard to get for a little while at least. Their romance was quite cute and I enjoyed the banter between them. There was a little bit of drama towards the end with Daniel's mafia connections. It was a quick read and entertaining.

This book claimed to be a mafia, enemies to lovers romance. It's not. It's a romance that doesn't really go anywhere. Daniel and Laura are boring apart and separately, their characters were just not interesting. It might have something to do with the book being so short. The whole thing felt too surface level, nothing went into detail and there was no depth.

Unfortunately I did not really enjoy Tempted: A Mafia Romance by Anna Ray. I had trouble connecting with the main characters Daniel and Laura. They just didn’t seem real. The story had great potential but I just couldn’t get into it. Someone that enjoys this type of romance probably would like it.

As soon as I started this book I did not put it down I loved the story of 'daniel and Laura's relationship only downside I felt the ending abit rushed please let there be a series of these 2 I would definitely read them

I received a complimentary copy of Tempted in exchange for an honest review. This was a very quick and easy read with some drama and strong character building. Definitely worth the investment.

Been meaning to read this for a little bit. It sort of got buried in my virtual book shelf.

We follow Laura Byrne and Daniel Marino who hate each other with a burning passion. Daniel is a womanizer and is part of a Mafia Family. Laura needs the money and accepts a job from Daniel but wants nothing to do with him or his world. But a job is a job.

I was meh about both of our MCs. They were okay, but I didn't connect with either of them. That was my biggest issue with this. I enjoyed the story a lot! It was fun watching these two people get over their hatred of each other and find love. The mystery was a nice touch as well, but I really did not jive with either of them or even any of the side characters.

This was short. Maybe if it was longer I would've had time to connect with SOMEONE.

The mystery was good, as I mentioned. It wasn't the main focus of the story, but it worked and it added a little danger to the story and did help get these two together in a way.

I would never want to be part of a mafia family....too dangerous but it always fun reading about it ;)

Overall...not a crazy amount to say. It was short and fun. Not crazy about either of the MCs but I did have fun with watching them fall in love and the mystery unravel. I'll give this 3 stars.

This is a short read, but more like office romance more than mafia one. Fun at times, but the character development really hasn’t been done well. There's not a lot of action and no real chemistry at all. Not really one for me

i never ended up downloading this, i've been reading other reviews on this and it sounds pretty good, so i might go get it~

Tempted is the first book in the Mafia Sinners series by Anna Ray. I LOVED IT!

This book is basically about frenemies but boss and employee.

Laura thought she was going for a job as an assistant to an everyday man. She knew his family had Mafia background but had no reason to believe that Daniel was anything but an Every day regular person.

Daniel enjoyed pushing Laura's buttons but he also wanted to get back into the world of his family. In order to do so he needed a dinner date and his lovely new assistant was the perfect person.

This book kept me on my toes and I couldn't put it down.

This was a short novel of a mafia/CEO falling for his lovely assistant. Daniel is now realizing to enter the business of his father he has to shed his man eater ways, as his mafia bosses expect to see him settle down. Coincidently, Daniel is also in need of a new assistant and Laura is in dyer need of a job. Daniel is purely captured by the chase, but things are not always what they seem and Laura is able to meet him head on, I loved the dynamic between Daniel and Laura! My. only complaint was that is was quick read. I found myself wanting more of a slow burn build up to explore more of the mafia world and romance. I would rate this a three out of five. I received this Netgalley in exchange for a honest review. I would recommend this to someone who is in need of a heated romance.

I thought that this was a quick book to read with a flowing storyline.

The characters were enjoyable and they worked well together with some great interaction.

It was a sexy romantic read, the only thing stopping me giving this book five stars was that the ending was a little abrupt so I have dropped it down to four stars

Super quick read but a really good book. The story was easy to follow with amazing characters. I loved it.

A mafia romance book. Daniel is a son of a mafia Don and has stayed away from the family’s business while building his own real estate business. Feeling satisfied and looking for more he has decided to join ranks. Going to his father and also the meeting with the families.
While this is going on Laura needs a job and gets one working as his assistant. She does not take any of his shenanigans and gives back and as much as he gives to her. She had heard about his family but had not seen or heard anything about that fact.
Things change when he needs her to act as his wife with a business meeting with a low level want a be crime boss. Her is when the story picks up between the two of them as well as the story with his family and the low-level crime guy, he was meeting. I liked the characters and the story was good, and a quick read.
