What can I say, this is another gripping and satisfying read by Melinda Leigh. This is book 3 in Bree Taggert but is written so well that it could be read on it's own. Bree and Matt work together again on finding who killed Holly, who they thought got away with it. It's exciting to see where Bree and Matt's relationship goes and if they make it public or not since Bree is now Sheriff. I highly recommend this book. Thank you Netgallery and Montlake for this ARC.

I am really enjoying the Bree Taggert series! While you will miss some nuances of character development, you can jump into the series here with no problem. The twists in this one were unexpected. Just when you think you know who done it, something changes to make you question how.

Loved it!!! Would give it 4.5 stars. So far this has been my favorite book in the Bree Taggert series. The story kept me guessing until the vey end. It was a great mystery/thriller. I can't believe it's only been months since Bree moved into the farmhouse to look after her niece and nephew. So much has happened in that short amount of time. There were so many twists and turns. I had no idea who was behind everything and was suspicious of everyone. I was shocked when everything came together and the killer was revealed. I loved the ending because I was completely surprised. Matt and Bree are perfect for each other and I hope their relationship keeps progressing in the right direction. The ultimate hero of the book was Brody. If it wasn't for him, that person probably wouldn't have survived.

Definitely recommend the book and the previous ones in the series. I can't wait to see what's next for Bree. Look forward to reading more books by the author.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Montlake through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

What an intriguing whodunit! Drown Her Sorrows by Melinda Leigh is the third book in her Bree Taggert series. This story is brimming over with action and suspense. Sheriff Bree Taggert has her hands full with this case. Her friend, maybe really more than just a friend, Matt Flynn was with Bree throughout. I like how these two work together and have each other's back. It was fun reading the scene with PI Lance Kruger from Ms. Leigh's Morgan Dane series. This was a super enjoyable read.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I could not wait for this book. Having read the first two has turned me into a huge Bree fan. We get more of the action that Bree is known for and we get more Matt !!!
Bree is raising her sisters two children, sheriff of town and an all
Around heroine. Matt is her boyfriend, partner ( unofficially) and the two together make for non stop action.
While this is the third book in a series, you can read it as a standalone… But you will want to read books one and two and become totally invested in all things Bree.

I highly recommend this book!

This is part of the Sheriff Bree Taggart series and I have loved this series. I also loved the characters and enjoy seeing them return in each book. The mystery was full of twists and turns and the ending was a surprise. I highly recommend this series

Thanks Netgalley for allowing me to read this book. Sheriff Bree Taggart finds the body of a young woman. Initially it looks like a suicide, but is ruled a homicide. This book kept me guessing from the first page.

I love Bree Taggert, Matt, and everything in this book. The mystery was good and it kept me guessing. I thought I knew who it was and I was wrong. I like that we saw a bit more of Bree's home life with the kids and Dana but the progression of Bree's and Matt's relationship is slower than a sloth crossing the street!

Yessss! This book hit all the bases for me and then some. The first being the massive twist at the end that I did not see coming! That is always a win for me. What a twist. Devious mind Melinda Leigh :)
Bree Taggert is a woman with a harrowing child hood past. We never forget our pasts, good or bad they are part of us. Watching Bree continue to grow, deal with her past, a possible future with Matt, her niece and nephew that she is now raising with the help of her brother Adam and her former partner Dana is realistic and heart warming. The turns in the is suicide turned into murder takes you down several roads and the intertwining with Matts sisters rescue group was fantastic. I loved the one scene (I loved most of the scenes :) ) where they rescue a neglected dog, and how about when Matt sees her tattoo and why its where its located. Be still my heart. I was taken down a suspense filled twisty path with a jaw dropping, blind sided didn't see that coming ending and loved every minute of it! Thank you Net Galley, Montlake and Melinda Leigh for the opportunity to read this arc. All thoughts and opinions are my own which I freely share.

Drown Her Sorrows is the third book in Melinda Leigh's Bree Taggert series. I read the first book, missed the second, and recently received this one from NetGalley. I've liked some of the Morgan Dane series, but found the Scarlett Falls series too repetitive.
Likable characters and a twist that you may or may not see coming. The Bree Taggert books are bit of a mix of cozy, romance, and thriller.

I plan to try the Midnight series, too.

Read in Feb.; review scheduled for March 3.

⭐⭐⭐⭐ +
This is #3 in the series. I read and enjoyed Book #2 [book: See Her Die]
Back story if you didn’t read earlier books
Bree has been dealing with the nightmare of what happened 25 years with the murder-suicide of her
parents. In Book #1 her sister Erin is killed. Erin’s husband vanishes. Bree believe Justin isn’t responsible
and teams up with Justin’s old friend former sheriff’s investigator and K-9 handler Matt Flynn..

This story starts with now Sheriff Taggert (she earned this title when she solved her sister’s murder)
When she is called regarding a women’s death by drowning, there is a note in the trunk of her car which indicates a suicide. However the autopsy indicates otherwise.
In the earlier stories Bree teamed up K-9 handler Matt Flynn and yep the start of a romance!
He is now employed by Bree and careful about showing his romantic feelings in public.
Aww I just love these two!! Plus love the twists and turns!!!!

Next in this series is "Right Behind Her" due fall and then "Dead Against Her" both are already on my TBR list!

Want to thank NetGalley and Montlake for this uncorrected digital copy granted to me early for an honest professional review.
Publishing Release Date scheduled for March 16, 2021

Bree and Matt are at it again, solving murder together. This time it involves family and it makes Bree take a moment and try to learn to enjoy what she has in that moment. Read this book for a great story and great characters.

I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Sheriff Bree Taggert and her investigator Matt Flynn are called to a case where a body is found at the bottom of a bridge. As they work together to navigate their relationship, as well as solve a case where the pieces just aren't fitting together quite right, the reader is taken on a wonderful adventure with them. Bree is trying to balance her responsibilities with her niece and nephew, Matt, and her job whilst being pulled in multiple directions on this case. It's fascinating how the case is resolved... and BTW, doesn't everyone need a Dana in their lives - she is an amazing character that I hope readers get to hear more about - especially since she's on a dating app now! It's a must read - jump right in - you will love Drown Her Sorrows!

Wow! This book is absolutely amazing! This is my first book from Melinda Leigh and WOW!!! I loved this book!!! I've wanted to read one of her books for a long time and so when I got the chance, I leapt for it. And I am so thrilled that I finally got to read this one. Action packed, tons of mysteries, and my heart leapt in my chest so many times!

Bree is a wonderful character. I love her as a female sheriff. She does a great job of delegating tasks to her team and at the same time, does not act like she is better than everyone else just because she's female. I really hate it when female characters have a complex. She is a strong, very competent, intelligent, take chances kind of gal. And I LOVE HER!!! She has become one of my all time favorite heroines,

Matt, I love him and his dog Brody! They are so much of a team that it's almost like they are of one mind. And then you add Bree into the mix and it's just breathtaking how great they all are together. And knowing, that Bree and Matt have both had similar experiences in law enforcement and injuries, the fact that they ended up together is no surprise to me. They are awesome together. I really look forward to seeing how their relationship forges together in the future. He is just such a sweet, wonderful guy. And I love how protective he is of his dogs, his sister Cady, and of Bree as well.

And, being as how this is my first book that I have read of this series, it's great to know that even though I have missed the first two books, the author did a fantastic job of filling all of that information in so that I wasn't lost at all. Reading all of Bree's story with the loss of her sister and what has happened to her family and how she, her friend Dee, and her brother Adam, have all pitched in to tell with their sister Erin's kids after her death, wow, just amazing how they have all pulled together.

I loved how it was always important for Bree to try to be there every night for dinner and to read books to her niece. It's all about priorities and I appreciate how that has been written in and ingrained throughout the whole book just how important that is.

This is a book that I could read and re-read over and over again. I am so thrilled to find Melinda Leigh as a new author to myself. It's like Christmas all over again! I cannot wait to catch up on this series and read from the beginning.

I was given this ARC to read and review by NetGalley. This is my own honest opinion.

I'm enjoying this series more and more as it goes on, the mysteries just keep getting better! I love Bree as a main character and her relationships with all of the other characters (Matt especially). I can't wait to read the fourth book!

This series is absolute fire! Each one gets better and better. Which is hard because all of Leigh’s books are phenomenal! I love Bree’s back story and love how each installment develops her and Matt’s budding relationship. Drown Her Sorrows had some sidewinder twists that kept you on the edge of your seat until the end! Don’t miss out on this one! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ * Thank you Melinda and NetGalley for the advance copy

Drown Her Sorrows by Melinda Leigh is the latest action packed addition to her Sheriff Bree Taggert

If you're looking for a fast paced, can't put down romantic suspense then this series is for you! Looking forward to the next in the series - thank you NetGalley!
