Absolutely fantastic...this is my favorite as of yet. Great character development as well as a story that threw me a curve ball at the end. Sheriff Bree Taggert is a total bad a$$. I’m so looking forward to more.

I think this is my favorite book in the series so far. An abandoned car and a woman’s dead body leads Sheriff Bree Taggert and Investigator Matt Flynn into a tangled web of lies, treachery and murder. Once started, this story was hard to put down. It is full of intrigue, red herrings, crimes that keep you guessing, suspense and heart pounding action. I love how the characters relationships continually develop and how you can see the strengthening of family ties. Drown Her Sorrows is a captivating murder mystery with great characters and a nice thread of romance mixed through it. Even though this book can easily be read as a stand alone, you will get much more of the world building and depth of character if you read the books in order.
I received an early copy of this book from Montlake Romance via NetGalley with no obligation to review. This in no way influenced my review and all opinions expressed are solely my own.

Love thIs book! Back with Bree and Matt, a budding romance continues from Cross Her Heart then See Her Die. Bree is the sheriff of a small town now and Matt a former law man forced by injuries to retire is her special investigator. Bree has been on her own since childhood. She always had to suck it up alone, which she did and well. She’s tough and a darn good sheriff. Now however she is slowly opening her heart and letting the idea of something with Matt possible. When a woman’s body is found she and Matt work to solve the murder, it almost costs them their lives and the life of a loved one.
This truly is a book you don’t want to miss! I can’t say I’ve read many that has it all - characters you will love, murders that keep you guessing, heart pounding action, tear producing events and blossoming relationship! Definitely five star in my opinion. Can’t wait for the next one! Thank you NetGalley, Melinda Leigh and Montlake for this ARC. This is my honest opinion.

I have read every book by Melinda Leigh and have enjoyed them all. This series even though it had great characters (Bree and Matt) and different story lines to each book in the series I felt it was boring .The series started with a bang but fell short by the time I got to Drown Her Sorrows .I kinda skipped thru this book to get to the end to finish to find out who murdered Holly. I would still read any future books by Melinda Leigh because she is an exceptional writer! This book just felt like it could have been better because the story line was a great mystery with a twist at the end it just didn't keep my interest.

Excellent police procedure where not only the COD for the victim changes but also the clues and an additional murder.

Being the third book in the series things feel comfortable not only for the reader but also for Bree who is settling in her job as Sheriff and in her personal life. She now has a trust worthy group of officers along with boyfriend Matt Flynn work as a well oiled team on cases.

Looking forward to more from this series.

Melinda Leigh is one of my favorite authors. This is the third in the Bree Taggart series. As always Melinda never lets me down. All of her books flow smoothly from one to the next. I have read all of her books and I know that I'm in for a gut gripping read with each one.
Thanks to Netgalley, Bookouture and Melinda Leigh for allowing me to read this Arc.

Sheriff Bree Taggert is starting to settle down into a routine in the third book of the series. It has been four months since her sister was murdered, since she reconnected with family, and since she started dating Matt. Things seem to be going somewhat well until she finds a dead body in the river. What first appears as a suicide soon leads Bree and Matt on a murder investigation that keeps everyone guessing, especially the reader!

I could not put the book down once I started it. Melinda Leigh has a knack for drawing you in and not letting go, and this book is no exception. If you love a good romantic suspense book, you will love this series. This book is just the latest of a great series. Read it today!

An abandoned car leads Bree Taggart into a twisting maze of lies and deceit in book three in the Bree Taggart series.

When a woman's car is found abandoned by a bridge, Sheriff Bree Taggart doesn't make any assumptions. She calls in contract investigator Matt Flynn to help her determine whether it's a suicide or something more sinister. Together they are a well oiled team after two previous cases successfully solved. But when another person dies, and a false confession muddied the water, they'll have to stay on top of each development in order to wrap up the case

I LOVE Bree Taggert and this series just gets better and better.

I enjoy reuniting with some of my favorite characters! There's always something for everyone, such as murder, unexpected twists/turns, kidnapping, aha moments, oh no you didn't moments, heart rendering moments, and of course, the gotcha moments!!!

Its no secret that I love Melinda Leigh and I'm always looking forward to her next book. If you haven't read any of her books, your really missing out.
