I am a fan of Jen Sincero and her approach to self help. Bad Habits is not one of my favorite of her books but it still did not disappoint. It contains great information, some new and old but all very helpful.

Like Sincero's other titles in the "Badass" series, Badass Habits is immensely readable and still incredibly informative. Her insights into how a lack of knowing ourselves impacts our abilities to exchange our undesired habits for desirable ones and her openness with her own habit struggles makes the book very relatable. The 21 Day guided habit changing process is not only practical, but it also sparks reflection and self-awareness. I'll definitely be returning to this book whenever I'm trying to ditch or develop a habit.

Jen Sincero is very relatable in her new book Badass Habits. She makes it seem like you are talking to your neighbor over the back fence. She relates many stories to illustrate her points. There are times in the book when it just seems that she is trying too hard to make herself relatable.

I have read all of the author's previous works, so I decided to pick this one up. While it was a decent read, I was slightly bored with it. It felt very repetitive and just didn't hold my interest.

I know people love her books but they don’t feel new or different than other self help books out there.

A realistic approach to creating meaningful change. Sincero suggests a 21 day, mantra framed approach to healthier habits with routines and rewards to help you manifest success.

I enjoyed this book. It had a few good nuggets in it; especially about how your self-talk can influence whether or not you stick to habits. Some of the advice was just good in general, not just necessarily in relation to habits. I have to say that I did not work through this day-by-day for 21 days as the book suggests you do, and read it over two days instead. I found that a lot of the tips in the 21 days section seemed repetitive and it got a little dull in that area. I feel like the first 25% of the book is really strong, and the rest is OK. Overall, this book is still worth picking up just to get a little kick in the butt to go out and accomplish what you want.

The author has a brilliant way of connecting with her reader. We all have good and bad habits and this book explains how we can retrain our brains to create good habits. I love the author's writing style, as her approach of staying positive made me believe that I can conquer my bad habits.

Oh look, another book on habit formation!
Frankly, I don’t even know why I try to read these books anymore–I’ve heard all that can be said, but I always like the few new ideas I pull out from here, ya know?
Badass Habits by Jen Sincero is out everywhere books are sold on December 1st, just in time to be bought for New Year’s Resolution setting.
This book just hit that spot–it’s a quick read, designed to be read over a 21 day period in which you “practice” your habit–but I read it in one afternoon because I’m reviewing it, not trying to change my life.
As a bit backstory, I liked the first You Are a Badass, hated the money one, but I like habits and productivity hacks and stuff, and this one was FINE.
Like a fine, three star read. Nothing mind-blowing. Her fan will like it, it had some funny anecdotes, and if you’re new to habit formation, you can work through this 21 day process and probably make some good progress towards your habits!
This book is super non-specific though, and Sincero talks about her “money” habit in the past, which I hated, and I wish she had followed a few people through their journey of habit formation or something, instead of being very abstract, but this is great for people new to habit formation.

I cannot WAIT to get a print copy of this book. Jen hasn't lost her edge and I absolutely love her plain-spoken way of getting to the heart of the matter. Not to mention, she's hilarious and actually says what we are all thinking. This title is a great practical guide for creating habits, and why we should even bother with them. I will be purchasing and gifting!!

This book was received as an ARC from PENGUIN GROUP Viking - Penguin Life in exchange for an honest review. Opinions and thoughts expressed in this review are completely my own.

I absolutely love Jen Sincero's books and they have helped me a lot get through a lot of things in life. This one could not have come at the best time, I need to break some of my bad habits and Jen's approach is so brilliant that even the worst situations and the worst circumstances will conquer. I could not help but smile from ear to ear and think that there is hope in the world. No matter who or what is around you, if you remain positive and stay true to yourself, all will be well in YOUR world.

We will consider adding this title to our Self Help collection at our library. That is why we give this book 5 stars.
