This new edition of the Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass has been given a modern make over. This hardcover edition is eye-catching and visually appealing to the reader. The text contains the same autobiography, but new supplementary materials have been added. A wonderful addition to any collection.

Wow! Talk about an important classic. Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass, an American Slave is just that: an autobiography written by Frederick Douglass, a man born into slavery in 1818 and escaped in 1838. This is not a tale that sugarcoats things. It is very real and evokes painful feelings on top of disgust at the treatment and dehumanization of slaves. This classic is a must-read. It truly should be mandatory reading for high school students. Highly recommended!!
