I always love reading a Jeanine Frost book because of how FUN the characters are. There's just so much sass going on that I easily fall in love with all of them, especially Ian. I really love how complex the storyline has been for this series as well, with all of the demon lore thrown in. Cat and Bones will always be my favorite series/couple, these two are easily second. I really hope we get more books set in this world.

This book fell flat. The first book was so fantastic! The second was good and this one just didn't work. Not enough romance and too much other stuff going on, including drop in characters from other books.

Wicked All Night (Night Rebel #3). By Jeaniene Frost. 2021. Avon (ARC eBook).

Wicked All Night picks up a couple of weeks after Ian and Veritas defeated their mutual enemy, the demon Dagon. But doing so weakened the barriers between their world and the netherworld and a deity takes advantage. Introducing himself as Veritas’ fiancé, the golden winged deity named Phanes informs Veritas that her demigod father is being held prisoner and he can help pull off a prison break. Phanes also happens to have the power of illusion, but really, what trouble could he create?

Like the other installments of Night Rebel, Wicked All Night has fun banter (thank you Ian) and action (although perhaps the least of the series). There is more Assael, Veritas’ half-demon brother who is interesting and some cameos from series favorites (Vlad! I needed a lot more Vlad). But unlike Vlad’s Night Prince series, that held my rapt attention all of the way through; I really liked Shades of Wicked, but Wicked Bite a bit less, and Wicked All Night least of all. There wasn’t enough on-screen villain activity and I’ve never been a ghoul or Marie fan. But the element that I think is actually the culprit is Veritas’ narration. Once Ian’s backstory is rolled out in Into the Fire and Shades of Wicked, it’s all Veritas and she just doesn’t hold the page for me.

I was so excited to receive a copy of this early. Jeaniene Frost does such a good job of writing funny characters and exploring the depth of a relationship all with in a vampiric action-packed urban fantasy world. It was a very fun and fast read.

Well, the third and final book in Ian and Veritas' story. This really should be read after the first 2 books or you will be lost. When I first started reading Jeaniene Frost I fell in love with Bones, but now, I don't know if Ian or Bones is my favorite. It truly is a difficulty choice. First, the characters - Ian and Veritas are so will matched right from the get go. Who else would be able to handle Ian - probably no one ever. They are both as insane as the other, as protective as the other, and as in love with each other. They function as a very unhinged well oiled machine.

The world building is phenomenal. The details are precise. I really enjoyed seeing many of the other characters from the series in this book. It is always a joy to revisit old friends. This was an extremely fast paced thrill ride that not once shows you where you are headed. Thank you for the wonderful characters, story, and crazy world. Looking forward to wherever we go next.

Thank you to Netgalley and Avon books for the ARC.

Another fabulous work by Jeanine Frost; a strong addition to the Night Huntress world and an excellent conclusion to the Night Rebel series.
I love the cameos from past favorites, but you'll have to read it to find out who. Veritas and Ian and their relationship face new challenges as they come together with their allies to face off against enemies set on ruling the world.

I was so happy to dive into this series, and now I’m sad that it came to an end. Ian and Veritas are just a great couple, and I enjoyed this wild ride. Not only was this an action-filled book with characters from different pantheons, but there was also humor, sadness, surprises, and so much love between the couple. Speaking of couples, it was great to see the MCs from the other series, and now I want some of the side characters in this one to get their own. This author is a word master, and she will keep you on the edge of your seat until you finish, breathless and spent. Highly recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.

Wicked All Night is probably my favorite book of the Night Rebel Trilogy. The book is full of plenty of action, mythology, gods, fights, demons, and monsters. Laced in between the action is plenty of Ian and Veritas, sexiness, and appearances from several characters in the Night Huntress world. Frost brings her amazing writing style that immerses you in the characters and plot. The interactions between the characters are engaging and even humorous at times. I loved seeing further growth in Veritas/Arial and even to some degree, Ian. The reader is given more insight to Veritas' origins, her father and her over all psychology. The plot is pretty straight forward but does supply a few twists and turns to keep the reader interested. Overall, a fun ride worth taking!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the advanced copy and the opportunity to read and review Wicked All Night.

Frost never disappoints and book 3 of the Night Rebel series is no exception. Ian and Veritas are back and ready for their happily ever after. Just a few obstacles left to get there including a pesky betrothal, some escaped gods and a little worldly chaos.

This series is one of my favorites and Wicked All Night is a wonderful addition! Ian is sexy and hilarious and Veritas is an awesome badass.

Ummm, how did things get even crazier?! I love the relationship between Veritas and Ian, their trust and dependence on one another has grown each book and it’s awesome to ‘see’. In this book, Veritas tries to save Ian but this causes ripple effects in their world. Now there’s gods and goddesses loose and their the only ones who can stop it. I love that Veritas family, her brother and father, seem to have a more casual role in Wicked All Night as well. Great addition to the series!

Jeanine Frost always delivers a steamy and hilarious romp, and this one is no different. I must say though that the Ian books are not quite up to par with the Bone and Cat, or Leila and Vlad books. It leaves something to be desired, but was still a solid read.

I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley in exchange for my unbiased review.

This third entry in Frost's Night Rebel series pits Ian and Veritas against supernatural beings who they've accidentally allowed to escape from the netherworld. Now it's up to them to put things right, even while the vampire council is determined to execute Veritas.

The first book was full of fun and good humor until the end (when we were left rather bereft what with Ian's amnesia and Veritas having to leave him in order to save him), and the second book focused on Ian's determination to win not just Veritas' heart but her trust in their love.

In book number three, the two of them have to team up with friends old and new to thwart what could literally be the end of the world. After spending literally thousands of years going it alone, this is a new concept for Veritas, who is just getting used to trusting one person (Ian) to have her back.

It's a joy to see Veritas becoming less of a (ahem) tight ass and more of a real person who is funny and happy and willing to take emotional risks. It's hard to believe that this Ian is the same one from the earlier books, but when we see him in action as a Master vampire (or hear him taunting Vlad), we know that deep down, nothing has changed.

Wicked All Night wraps things up, and I think another book would be jumping the shark. As much as I love these two, I don't think we need to know anything more. When Ian and Veritas were first introduced to readers, they both seemed shallow and one dimensional. Over the course of these three books, Frost has developed them into multifaceted beings who were last seen teleporting off into the sunset. That seems like a great place to leave them.

I love Veritas and Ian!!! Love this installment!! This series gets better with each book. We pick up right where Book 2 left off and it's a roller coaster ride to the finish! Could not put it down!

Wicked All Night is the third book in the Night Rebel series. It is a continuation of Veritas and Ian’s story. It picks up right where book two left off; with Ian gravely injured, the Vampire council putting Veritas under arrest to await trial, and some golden dude with wings popping up out of nowhere claiming he’s finally found Veritas after searching for her for thousands of years. So all in all, pretty run of the mill for these two lovebirds.

This book dives right back into the thick of it. Veritas will do anything to save Ian, even if it means owing Phanes (previously mentioned gold dude) who happens to be a God with some fancy tricks up his non-existent sleeves. Seriously though, does he never wear a shirt? I guess when you’re a God modesty isn’t exactly readily available. But I digress.

Owing Phanes means going with him to search for her father to get his help. However, things go awry while in the underworld and some Big Bads with grandiose plans of world domination escape. Veritas is tasked by her father to bring them back and restore the order of the underworld that she mistakenly helped put out of whack.

But these escapees are no joke and are in fact incredibly powerful. Too powerful for just Veritas to take down. Can she finally learn to ask for help?

Veritas has been on her own for thousands of years and she’s used to taking care of her problems on her own. In this book you can finally see her learn to trust in others. This problem is just too big for her to deal with on her own and it’s refreshing to see her accept help and really begin to believe in friends and family again.

And then there’s Ian. What’s not to like? He’s his usual unrepentant self that brings a bout of levity and unconditional support. He also brings in his family to help and all our favorites, from Bones and Cat to Vlad and Mencheres, are back. It’s great to see them team up (along with some other unexpected allies) to save the world.

I absolutely adore Jeaniene Frost and these fantastic worlds she’s created. I greatly enjoy getting sucked in and hanging around for a while. This trip was just as fulfilling as the previous ones I’ve taken to the Night Huntress, Night Prince, and of course the Night Rebel worlds. I can’t wait to visit again soon.

Special thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for releasing this ARC to me in exchange for an honest review.

This is the third book in the Night Rebel series by Jeaniene Frost. This series is an action packed romance about Veritas and Ian. I am a huge fan of all Jeaniene Frost's book series. Ian, a vampire, has lived a debauched life as a confirmed bachelor until he meets Veritas. Now they are fighting to save Ian and be free of demons.

Whenever possible, put the good things about a book or author up front.
Criticize the book, not the author, if you don’t like what you’ve read. Explain why.

Wicked All Night was a great addition to the Night Rebel series and as usual, Jeaniene Frost wrote a fantastic story. I found myself unable to put this book down as I read about Veritas and Ian, and their ongoing romance. I was really happy to see the author include new types of supernatural beings other than the usual vampire, ghoul, and demon trio. My favorite part of Veritas's story is her development and growth into a more confident and self-accepting person. I also love that Ian is accepting and loving of her despite her penchant for self-sacrifice and an inability to ask for help. I am certain that all fans of Jeaniene Frost's series will enjoy this book as much as I did and I recommend that all fans of fantasy and romance give her books a try.

Thank you to NetGalley and Avon for providing an advanced e'reader's copy in exchange for my honest review.

Wicked All Night is the third book staring Veritas and Ian, and it is the one that focuses most on their relationship. Throughout this book and the last two, Veritas has made decisions for Ian without taking his wishes into consideration and Ian is sick of Veritas leaving him behind when she runs into danger. Wicked All Night explores this issue in their relationship while they work together and with some old friends to hunt down the gods they unwittingly helped escape.

This installment was all about teamwork, and Jeaniene Frost incorporated this to all the levels. There is the partnership in Veritas and Ian relationship, the teamwork of working with the regular cast of characters from the past books, and the alliances Veritas facilitates in the war against the gods. It was very nicely done, but it would have been nice to see more of it from the views of other characters. In this case, I think Veritas’s perspective was a bit limiting. When the volcano exploded, readers didn’t get to see what Vlad and Mencheres were doing to stop it. Likewise, in the final fight scene, it wasn’t really clear what the armies were doing short of getting frozen by Morana and melted by Veritas. Veritas might be the main character in Wicked All Night, but I would have enjoyed seeing more of the bigger picture.

Further, it would have been nice to have an epilogue to hint how the vampire law overturns will affect the world and if the vampire-ghoul alliance will last. It felt like these issues were set up, but not really explored fully.

That all said, I liked Wicked All Night a lot, and I definitely look forward to Jeaniene Frost’s next book.
