All Consuming is the final book in Jaci Burton’s Brotherhood by Fire series. I’ve been meaning to read the last book, especially since it’s Kal Donovan’s book. I’m glad I made time for it because I definitely missed the Donovan brothers.

Storyline: Kal Donovan reunites with someone from his past at his high school reunion, whom he broke up with when they went their separate ways after high school. Hannah Clark is back in town, but things have changed since the last time she saw Kal. She’s newly divorced and has a son, and she’s too busy getting her new hair salon up and running to deal with love again, especially with how her marriage was with her ex-husband. Kal and Hannah start to hang out, and those old feelings surface, but Hannah is determined not to have anything serious because she won’t risk her heart again.

My Thoughts: This was a sweet, second-chance romance between Kal and Hannah, who obviously did not get over their feelings for one another. Hannah has her reasons for not wanting anything serious, and I felt for her character, especially learning how her marriage was with her ex-husband.

I loved how Kal was determined to win her over and also win over her son, too, who seemed to take a liking to Kal right away. He wasn’t being too pushy, either, which I appreciated. He definitely stood out to me as far as the other Donovan brothers.

I also enjoyed reading Kal’s firefighter scenes in between the romantic plot. Kal is not only trying to win over Hannah but his new Tactical Rescue Team, which he’s dealing with the drama between two members of his team.

The story was slow-paced at times, and the conflict at the end was a little predictable, but other than that, it was an enjoyable read. I’m glad that all the Donovan brothers found their HEAs.

I give this book 3.5 stars and look forward to reading more books from Jaci Burton soon.

Audiobook Review: I borrowed the audiobook via Everand and enjoyed listening to the book when I couldn’t sit down to read it. Lynn Barrington was a fabulous narrator for this book, and I loved how she did Kal and Hannah’s voices. I definitely recommend this book in audiobook if you enjoy listening to your books.

What can I say? Jaci Burton knows how to write them! This isn’t my first book by Burton and I can honestly say this isn’t my last one either! I love the dynamic of the characters and how they overcome challenges. I never thought about a man in a uniform…..but now? SIGN ME UP!! Overall great read! Definitely looking forward to new books by Burton!

I am becoming a huge fan of Jaci Burton. She has not gotten me into not only sports romance but now fireman!!! I've never in my life thought twice about having a man in uniform until now. I have previously read the two books before this one and I have not been disappointed. Going into this I had high hopes and then finding out it's a second chance romance made it all the better (my favorite trope). This book was fun, seeing Kal and Hannah duke out all their issues and lingering attraction was great! I can't wait for more from this author!!!

This is a Second Chance Romance with some steamy parts, and this is the 3rd book in the Brotherhood by Fire series. I have not read the first two books in this series. I enjoyed this book, and the characters where very developed to me. I really wanted to keep reading to see these two characters love story. I love when books as a single mother find love again, and the new love treats the single mother's kid really well. This book does that really well. I found the storyline was really good. The two main characters (Hannah and Kal) of this book had chemistry, and I really enjoyed seeing them learn to trust each other. I was kindly provided an e-copy of this book by the publisher (Berkley Books) or author (Jaci Burton) via NetGalley, so I can give honest review about how I feel about this book. I want to send a big Thank you to them for that.

All Consuming is the final installment in the Brotherhood by Fire series. Kal Donovan what can I say about the youngest Donovan brother but I commend him on going for what he wants. He didn’t know how to approach his brother or father about transferring to the Tactical Rescue Team but he made a great decision. He was a person that knew what he was doing but some of his teammates believed he was given the position and didn’t earn it like everyone else. Then you have Hannah Clark a single mother that is trying to start her business. She knows what is needed but when she goes to the high school reunion she doesn’t think she would be running into her first love, Kal. Now that they have reconnected is it too bad that they try to rekindle what they had. They both believe that they don’t want to be in a relationship but it seems that they can’t stop seeing each other. Kal is a wonderful role model to her son Oliver and Hannah knows that if she continues to see Kal her son might end up getting hurt. Kal and Hannah have great chemistry and they are perfect for each other.

I am loving this Brotherhood! Kal and Hannah’s story was a beautiful second chance romance that put a smile on my face and warmed my heart.

I am sometimes skeptical with a second chance romance. Is it going to be angsty, full of drama reliving past hurts, saying “I’m sorry” over and over again? Well, there was very little of this in All Consuming. Both Kal and Hannah accepted the past and dealt with it. Hannah knew her marriage was a mistake and Kal knew that he let the best thing that happened to him get away. Now, it was time for Kal to prove to Hannah that he learned his lesson and that his love didn’t fade away. And, Hannah had to decide if she would trust, not only her heart but that of Oliver’s, wouldn’t be broken again by the only man that ever held her heart.

I truly enjoyed watching Kal win Hannah over and how he interacted with Oliver. She made him a better man, helped him through his struggles and decisions within the firehouse and the home he shared with his brothers. Did he make some missteps? Of course. Did she have some panic times? Of course. But, in the end, they both knew that it was inevitable that their lives weren’t complete without the other in it.

The characters in this series were all written with one thing in common … big hearts. If you have read the series from the beginning, you know their past and how heart-breaking it was. But they each made something of themselves with the loving help of wonderful step-parents. Parents that were there to guide them, to love them and help them. They encouraged them to face their past and look forward to the future. Why do I bring this up? They were the cornerstones that saved these three wonderful men from the fire that could have consumed them. They were always in the back-ground but always a part of this series.

Jaci Burton truly engrossed me in this series with the way she told each of their stories. They were all different, yet the same. She made us understand their trial and tribulations and showed us what a little love, lot’s of encouragement and hard work can get you. She wrote strong men with even stronger woman at their sides. She highlighted their past and wove it into their futures. She brought each of her characters full circle and made us proud of the men that they became.

Jaci Burton has returned with another book in the Brotherhood by Fire series with ALL CONSUMING. If you have been following this series, this is Kal Donovan’s book.

Kal is one of my favorite heroes in this series so I was excited to finally get his story. His heroine is Hannah and she turned out to be a sweet woman that was perfect for him. I see Kal as “one of the boys” type of hero who is both manly and charming. His level of respect for Hannah was something that I really liked. Even though he was proactive in his pursuit of her, he never pushed her too hard because of busy life. In the end, I found the romance to be sweet and satisfying.

I enjoyed the details that Burton put in about firefighting. It’s mostly in the beginning or extra scenes where they really make an impact, but I think it complements the rest of the story which can be more slow-paced. With the firefighting details interspersed with this sweeter romance, you get something a little more exciting.

If you like a second chance romance, then this might hit the spot for you. Charming with sweet and sexy scenes thrown in, I think Burton did a good job with this one.

The story has laughs, secrets, second chances, twists & turns, and heartbreak.

If you have not read the below they are part of this series also
Hot to the Touch (Brotherhood by Fire, #1)
Ignite on Contact (Brotherhood by Fire, #2)

This is Hannah and Kal’s story. Hannah moved back to town after a really crappy marriage. Now she is focused on getting her business up and running and taking care of her son. When she run into her first love Kal she is determined not fall for him. After all look what she just came out of. But Kal is determined to show her that what they have is good and that he is a good guy not like her ex. But can she really believe him after all she now has not only herself to worry about but also her son.

I recommend this book.

This is the third book in the Brotherhood of Fire trilogy. It is a great ending to the Donovan brothers love stories. Kal reconnects with his high school sweetheart, Hannah, at their high school reunion. Hannah is a single mom and leery of getting involved with a man. Kal wins over both Hannah and her son, Oliver, pretty quickly and there isn't a ton of drama. Sweet second chance romance. I enjoyed the whole trilogy and would recommend it to romance readers.

This book fell a little flat for me. I think I am looking for romance novels with a little more substance as I read. This book is great for fans of Jaci Burton.

Kal and Hannah were so much fun together and, I must admit, that I love a good second chance romance. When it's done well, there is so much emotion in the reconnection of a love that you thought was lost, and this one was well-done.

This is part of a series, although I think it can also be read as a standalone. You are not going to know all of the side characters as well, but it's not necessary for you to have read the other books to be able to connect with this one.

I enjoyed and recommend this title.

Great end to the trilogy. Really enjoyed reading this story. I would have liked more development, reaction to, something dealing with the situation Kal was facing on the job. He seemed to take too much of the negative behavior of the two firemen giving him a hard time. Also, he and Hannah were very over the past between them, and I would have expected a bit more of an obstacle.

Welcome back to the world of the Donovan’s. In this installment, All Consuming by Jaci Burton, we learn more about Kal Donovan, the last of the three brothers still single. But for how long??? Kal goes to his 10 year class reunion and who does he see…but his high school sweetheart Hannah. Is there chemistry between the two? Oh, yes…but there are other issues that have to be taken care of first, like a couple of guys that don’t think he should be in the position for his job (Tactical Rescue Team). THEY think it’s nepotism, but it’s not. Kal earned everything. As time goes on things do work out between him and the men at work as well as Hannah, but the journey of this story is worth the read.
Thanks to Negalley and the publisher for an ARC of this book for an honest opinion.

Kal Donovan, the last of the three firefighter brothers gets his HEA in All Consuming. He's got the job he wants, and his brothers have already paired off. When he goes to his ten year reunion, he meets up again with his high school sweetheart, Hannah.

Hannah is reluctant to accept Kal's attentions for some time, a bit shy of relationships after her divorce, but it isn't long before she slips right into place with the family again. She's got an adorable seven year old that looks up to Kal as a friend very quickly.

Every thing is perfect, or so it seems, it's just that not everyone is ready for what Kal is offering.

There is a very low level of conflict in this story. Lots of rekindled passion, steamy moments and overnighters. It was a nice fairy tale of making it all work out with your first love. There are a few tense rescue scenes and some mild conflict at work for Kal, and I wished the story had been more focused on that part of the story, or at least give it equal page time.

If you are in the need for a sweet love story with very mild conflict, you might like this story.

A complementary copy was received. This is my honest review.

This is a third book in this series and I was excited to read about a man in uniform of course. This is a second chance Romance. Kal was chill and funny and all around stand up guy. He is a firefighter who runs into his ex at their school reunion. Hannah is a single mom divorcee with trust issues. I felt the chemistry to a degree even though it wasn’t has all consuming as the title. Hannah did have some trust issues but I felt it hung around a little too long seeing as Kal was pretty stand up guy. All in all it’s worth a shot to read. I enjoyed the other books in the series. The cover is definitely a eye catcher and if anything at least you have some eye candy.

This is a lovely, sweet second-chance romance. It has the smoking hot sexiness that we love from Jaci Burton, so don’t worry about that. Kal and Hannah were likeable, and their growing love was believable and nice. They made a great couple, especially when you add her young son in the mix. I liked when all the brothers and friends got together with their fun banter. It was a nice romance, but it felt like I was eavesdropping instead of being pulled into the story.

This was another great read from Jacinto Burton. The characters were well rounded and learning to trust and grow leading to a heartwarming and good storyline. Although this is the third book in a series it is indeed a standalone. This is how every second chance at love should go. I couldn't put it down.

The Brotherhood by Fire series continues with Kal's story. Kal finally made it into the Tactical Rescue Team and he is thriving there, apart from some conflict with a couple of guys who aren't convinced he should be there. He runs into his high school sweetheart, Hannah, and the attraction between them is even stronger now than it was back then.

I enjoyed the first two books in the series. This was one was okay. Kal seems just too good to be true. He does an extremely dangerous job very well, without any serious incidents. He is happy and well-adjusted after growing up homeless and nearly dying in a house fire. He cooks, does volunteer work, and a whole host of other things. The only dark spots in his life are the two guys at work giving him a hard time, and the fact that Hannah didn't fall into his arms at first sight. It's quite a charmed life. My biggest issue with this is that the Kal that we meet at the start of the story is the same Kal at the end of the story. And he's really sweet, don't get me wrong. But that did not make for very interesting reading. Hannah, on the other hand, had a lot to overcome to find happiness again. She was a lot more interesting.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for providing me with a copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
