Great book! And great series! I do have to say I liked book two better but! That doesn't mean I didn't like thus one! I definitely do! I just liked book two a little bit more lol this book was a light read, no suspense just flowed nicely! It was very tender hearted about two old loves that get back together years later. Its definitely worth reading!! I highly recommend this book and series! Thank you Netgalley and the publishers for sharing this book with me!

I gave up at 38%. I found I had no investment in either character. Everything was just okay; the characters, the plot, the supporting characters, the pacing. I'm a voracious reader but I found myself forgetting I had started this book, reading a chapter, then putting it down.

I was a little disappointed by this book. The story was unfulfilling to me. Honestly, it felt like a chore to read. This felt like a total departure from Jaci Burton's other books which I usually can't put down.

Jaci Burton’s All Consuming is a great beach read. Kal Donovan, a good-looking hunk, is a member of Fort Lauderdale’s Technical Rescue Team, which means that he is a super fireman. He could hardly be hotter. Hannah Clark has returned home with her seven-year-old son to live with her mother after her recent divorce. Hannah and Kal had been high school sweethearts. They broke up ten years ago, but they are still attracted to each other. This book offers exciting technical rescues, sex, and warm family relationships. Grab your sunscreen and beach umbrella and enjoy.

All Consuming is the final book in Jaci Burton's Brotherhood by Fire series and it is Kal’s second chance love story.
He goes to his high school reunion and meets up with his high school love, Hannah. She is newly divorced with a young son. Kal knows they can be great together again, but she is hesitant to engage not just her heart of that of her child. Can Kal prove he is worth the risk?
So…
Hot firefighters
Sexy times
Independent and sassy heroines…
Checks off all the necessary boxes for a fun, enjoyable read with characters who have just enough emotional baggage to keep it real.
Thank you NetGalley and Berkley Publishing for the ARC

Unfortunately, I couldn't even finish this book. I've read Jaci before and loved her, but this wasn't my cup of tea. The interactions were boring, there was no spark at all. The conversations felt contractual, like the two characters were strangers. It's too bad, I was looking forward to this.

Hannah is an independent divorced mother who owns her own hair salon and Kal is a firefighter when they meet up again at their ten year school reunion. They were sweethearts back then and they want to rekindle that flame. But Hannah has been burned and she has her heart and a child, Oliver, to protect.
The characters were well written and engaging, even Oliver as a secondary character. Hannah and Karl were multidimensional; we saw them at work with those relationships, with their families as well as their budding romance. The sexy scenes were hot. The book was charming and enchanting.
I would recommend this book to my patrons. Note to librarians: although this book could easily be read as a standalone your patrons will love any Jaci Burton series books you decide to add to your collection.
