Oh my darling, sweet, affectionate, lovely Evie.

This book is utter perfection, and I love Eve and Jacob so damn much! The representation, the love, the romace, the chemistry, the emotions, and every single part of this book was just great. Reading this book made me cry, laugh, giggle, scream, and just melt. I love the Brown sisters with all my heart and will miss them so very much.

Eve Brown is a hot mess, and I love how real and relatable she is. So much about Eve was stuff I could relate to, and her journey in this book warmed my heart so much. I enjoyed her growth, and how she learnt to be a better and more accountable person. She’s had a string of failed endeavors behind her and the path she finds herself on in this book helped her stop seeing herself as less then. The most relatable thing for me was how she was in her friendships – always having to play a role or offer help in order to maintain some semblance of relevance to your friends.

Jacob, OMG – my baby boy Jacob. Jacob is a man with many walls and a troubled past. I loved his growth as well, and the relationship he has with Mont, Tessa, Alex, and Aunt Lucy. I love the effect he and Eve had on each other. They were just do cute and perfect and I love them so much!

The little snippests of Chloe, Dani, Red, and Zaf we got in this book were so awesome. The entire Brown family featured in this book, and they all had one effect or another on Eve and her journey in this book.

The autism representation in this book was great and I believe it’s because the author herself is on the autism spectrum. Eve’s steps towards her realization of being on the spectrum was also literally me.

Eve and Jacob are like oil and water, and this book felt more like opposites attract than enemies to lovers. It was so beautiful to watch them find their way to each other in spite of their differences.

This book is out on the 9th of March, and I can’t wait for you all to read it and love it as much as I do!

Loved this. The Brown sisters trilogy has been my favorite. I loved Eve and her quirkiness. She and Jacob had such a fun relationship and I loved both of them. It wasn't easy and straightforward but it made me appreciate it more. The bird scenes made me laugh each time! 😁 Now I definitely need Mont’s story or maybe Alex and Tessa!

I enjoyed this book so much. From the engaging characters to the interesting plot line to the inclusivity of the cast, I was hooked. I really identified with Eve Brown as a main character, and I thought she delivered in a big way as the main character in this book. She is probably my favorite of the Brown sisters now! I also really enjoyed the men of the book, and I loved the inclusion of a character with autism. What I loved most, though, is that the character wasn’t written as “suffering” with autism. The character was a living, breathing person in which autism was normalized. I feel like that is a great plot point to really make readers feel seen. I also thought Eve showed a lot of growth and development through the book, and I really feel like her character came full circle from start to finish of the book.

RATING: 3/5 STARS

This was a cute read. The main characters had an initial clash of personalities (sunny and chaotic vs. grumpy and organized) that set up for some entertaining banter and an enemies-to-lovers dynamic. I liked the setting of a charming B&B as the backdrop to their romance. However, their story didn't draw me in as much as some of Talia Hibbert's other books, and I can't put my finger exactly on why. The plot is a little slow moving and Eve and Jacob's relationship didn't elicit strong feelings from me as a reader. This book has all the ingredients of a potential rom-com favorite for me, but the execution wasn't quite to my taste. If you're a fan of the previous books in this series and like wholesome, sweet reads, I would still check this book out though!

A sincere thanks to Avon for providing an advanced reading copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Eve Brown has held a few different jobs over the past few years. The latest one being a kind of disaster - oops! Eve's parents are a bit harsh and decide to cut Eve off for a while until she can hold down a job.

Eve is upset, but understands (kinda) her parents reasoning for cutting her off. While taking a long drive she happens upon a charming Inn. This is where she meets Jacob Wayne - owner of said Inn. Jacob and Eve immediately do not get a long. Jacob just happens to be interviewing for a cook and Eve just happens to be looking for a job. The interview doesn't go so great and while leaving, Eve manages to hit Jaco with her car (yikes!). And now Eve kind of has to stay to help out Jacob because - she did kind of hit him with her car.

What starts off as a rocky working relationship slowly turns into a tentative friendship. I loved the relationship between Eve and Jacob. They are literally the definition of sunshine and grump with Jacob even nicknaming Eve "Sunshine" (swoon 😍). I loved the slow growth of their relationship and how they didn't ever shy away from hard subjects for both of them.

I really liked the fact that Jacob was very outright and forthcoming with his autism. And that he felt at ease with Eve. Eve hasn't always had the best relationships with friends either and so it was a joy watching their friendship bloom. They were always free to be each other when they were together.

As always, Talia is such a talented author. There are always specific lines that stick with me when reading her books and I definitely highlighted parts of Act Your Age, Eve Brown that I will be going back to revisit.

Grab Act Your Age, Eve Brown if you're looking for an enemies-to-lovers/grumpy sunshine romance that will have you laughing and swooning in equal measures!

OMG, I'll read anything by Talia Hibbert but I really do love the Brown sisters. Eve is just unexpected and Jacob is just right for her. I so enjoyed their misunderstandings and banter. The sex was burning and the end was delightful.

This was the perfect romance! I have really enjoyed the Brown sister series and I think this was my favorite of the three. The main characters were so endearing and while they seem complete opposites, a grump and a "sunshine", they are more similar than they realize. Eve takes a job at a B&B to prove her parents wrong and Jacob is the owner of the B&B and is hesitant to hire Eve. A crazy meet cute takes place and the story just evolves from there. The main characters had a lot of chemistry and I loved the way the story unfolded. I also loved how autism was a main theme in the book and dealt with autism in relationships. This book left a huge smile on my face!

Talia Hibbert does it again! A delightful, frothy confection to read when you're feeling down (because if this won't cheer you up, nothing will).

The last book of the Brown sisters trilogy just might be my favorite. I loved getting to know Chloe and Dani, but Eve was truly a delight!⁣

I totally see where her nickname Sunshine comes from because she is a vibrant ray of sunshine. She is kind, witty, and a beautiful mess.⁣

I always adore a character that brings on constant chaos but embraces it fully. ⁣

The banter between Eve and Jacob was hilarious. She was a spit fire and just constantly matched his sarcasm. ⁣

Her love for all animals, always reminded me of a Disney princess but also myself (I don’t view myself as a princess) but I loved it. I literally died laughing at her worry for hitting a dog over a person; because that would be me. 🤣⁣

Her graphic tees were also amazing. I adored Tessa and Alex and their chaos they brought. ⁣

Even Jacob and his grumpiness and straightforwardness was sort of a breath of fresh air. Ooooh and the steam, he may be awkward when talking but he was not awkward in the sheets. 🔥 ⁣

I truly felt for these two always worrying what others thought of them and their quirks but then their strangers to enemies to friends to lovers relationship just proved that when you find the right circle you don’t have to have a care in the world what anyone thinks because you found your people. ⁣

I loved Eve and her sunshine and rainbows. ⁣

Act Your Age, Eve Brown by Talia Hibbert ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Talia Hibbert is back with the third story of the Brown sisters and I have to say, this one is my favorite. Eve is so lovable and relatable while also bringing up complex topics of autism and how we view ourselves and others. Issues of autism are addressed but I loved how the book shone a positive light on all the beautiful things that make up a person with autism. This is such a quick and charming romance that it was the perfect weekend read. I highly recommend to anyone who loves the Brown sisters or is looking for their next great romance book!

ACT YOUR AGE, EVE BROWN is the cutest and fluffiest romance I have read in such a long time. I think this actually may be my favorite book in the Brown Sisters series. I got so caught up in the story, I snuck reading it while at work and on the bus, and at home (like a respectable bookworm). Definitely read it if you enjoy reading romance that caters to people of all types.

The third installment of the Brown sisters trilogy follows the youngest sister Eve Brown. Eve is seeking a temporary job to prove to her family how responsible she is when she spontaneously interviews for a chef position at a local Bed and Breakfast. Everything is looking good for Eve until she accidently runs over her future employer (Jacob) with her car. In an attempt to make up for her mistake, Eve convinces Jacob to let her run the B&B while he recovers. The story takes off from there.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this absolute delight. I was so excited to get approved for this novel and was not disappointed! I enjoyed the optimistic (Eve) and grumpy (Jacob) duo which made for entertaining banter. The pairing of these two was so well written by Hibbert and this novel was without a doubt, my favorite of the three. The rep of the two protagonists having autism which the author portrayed realistically and beautifully showcasing the reality of the spectrum was a true joy to read. This book made me smile, laugh and felt like a ray of sunshine. It exceeded any of my expectations for the conclusion of the trilogy!

The last of the Brown sisters! This was so adorable and the romance was so sweet. I love hate to love and I love the autistic representation of it as well! So glad to see Eve shine in her own book & her come into her own and find sweet, steamy, love!

I have recommended the living daylights out of this book to everyone I know. I loved it. It was sweet and laugh-out-loud funny and just wonderful. It is always a joy to see how Talia Hibbert pulls me in to make me love these two wonderful individuals and root for them unfailingly until the end.

I love the Brown sisters series. I love much of Talia Hibbert's work. Her stories are fresh, fun, authentic, very well written, exciting, and lovely. She balances plot and sizzle, passion and meaning.

"Act Your Age, Eve Brown" is the third and final part of the Brown sisters series Hibbert has been working on for a few years, beginning with "Get a Life, Chloe Brown." All three of the Brown sisters are Black British, plus-size, sassy, smart women who find their happily-ever-afters with partners who fit with them and do not attempt to change them. I love the female-empowerment aspects of these books; none of these characters go looking for love, but they find it in the most unexpected places and it makes them just that much more happy.

Eve Brown has been alluded to in the previous books in this series, and she is often described as "head in the clouds," or lackadaisical or flighty. She has difficulty finding that ONE TRUE CALLING her sisters seem to have found so easily, and as such Eve is kind of...well...considered a failure in her family. Eve has even begun taking on this identity for herself.

So, when her parents put a freeze on her trust account and demand she get a job and start making her own way in the world, Eve is a little at a loss as to what to do next--but she's determined to show them, all of them, that she is not just the baby of the family. That is how Eve finds herself as the new cook at a country B&B. In comes the LOVE INTEREST...and chaos and comedy ensue.

Similair to Helen Hoang's "The Bride Test" or "The Kiss Quotient," "Act Your Age, Eve Brown" features non-neurotypical characters. I do not believe Talia is writing #ownvoices, and I personally do not have autism and I cannot speak to the authenticity of the way her characters experience and view the world, but from what I could tell Hibbert did due diligence to researching autism.

Talia Hibbert is so incredibly reliable! I really enjoyed this romance as a journey to understanding oneself better through a relationship with another person. And her balance of sweetness with filthiness is unmatched! Plus I love a Lake District setting so I'm really looking forward to the spinoff series.

This isn't my personal fave book in the trilogy for reasons that are purely personal. The relationship between the two main characters is, like, playfully hostile. But the level of it, like telling each other to "f**k off" is difficult for me to personally read as playful, not for the coarse language but the sentiment that typically accompanies that language. I know it's a dynamic that works for them, but it's not the most fun for me to witness. I'm too sensitive! So it goes!

I am extremely lucky to have gotten approved for this book so soon after finishing Dani’s book. I am so glad I got to read these marathon style and live with these sisters for the past week. This book was so adorable, in the previous two books, we didn’t see much of Eve so I was glad to really learn about her character here. Jacob was a very interesting character as well and the progression of their relationship was so well done and had me rooting for them the whole time. I am so sad that this series is over, but I cannot wait for more by Talia!

I'm kicking myself for not jumping into this series sooner as I really enjoyed this third book. Great humor, interesting characters, and steamy chemistry between the two leads. I will definitely go back and read the first two novels featuring Eve's sisters. For those of you who have read the other books, I'm sure you will be glad to know Eve's family does pop up here and there in this one.

Eve Brown tends to bounce from one thing to another and her parents have had enough. They are going to cut her off financially with the hope she will get her act together. She interviews for a chef's position at a bed and breakfast but after clashing with the owner, Jacob Wayne, she doesn't get the job. And then disaster strikes when she accidently hits Jacob with her car. He'll be out of commission for a bit and Eve, feeling guilty, tries to help out at the B&B. Jacob likes to be in control and being forced to sit on the sidelines is not exactly his idea of a good time. With Eve taking over what could go wrong? Or perhaps the other question is what could go right?

I'm always game for an opposites attract romance. And I did like a specific thing Jacob and Eve had in common. (I'm trying to be vague as it's not something covered in the publisher synopsis.) I appreciate Eve was not as clearly defined as Jacob in this aspect but the author explored it just a bit. It's amazing how no matter how old you are, you keep learning things about yourself. I did find myself identifying with Eve in that regard.

I almost feel obligated to mention this book has some graphic love scenes. I read romance novels quite often and the steam level in this one is about as high as it can get, in my opinion. To each their own, but I thought it worked well in the context of the story and characters.

A romance with a ton of humor and characters that you couldn't help but root for. I found myself smiling a lot while reading as the story and characters were so much fun.

Act Your Age, Eve Brown is another delightful story from Talia Hibbert following the Brown sisters, this time with Eve as the heroine. While it is the third in the series, it can be read as a stand-alone, although I do recommend reading them all.

Talia Hibbert consistently provides a world with multiple facets of diversity in her books, and she continues the tradition here with her two neurodivergent leads. While Eve and Jacob are opposites in many ways, they relate to each other due to them both being neurodivergent, while also each being able to compensate for each other’s weaknesses in a realistic way. Jacob’s autism in particular is so well written, and while I did find myself a bit unsure at first how I felt, this was a case where it was simultaneously a slow-burn fall-into-love and super steamy and sexy in the best ways at the same time.

And while each book does stand alone, as I noted prior I love the little cameo appearances from the other sisters, reinforcing the bond between them that returning readers enjoyed in previous books and also giving new readers a taster of these characters. Chloe and Dani are both so wonderful, and I love seeing them provide sisterly support for Eve as she did for them.

This book, like the previous two, is pure delight, and if you loved them, you’ll love this. And if you’re just discovering Talia Hibbert and/or her Brown Sisters, I think you’ll love it too!
