i absolutely LOVED this book and am so sad this is the end of the brown sisters stories! eve was a delight and i loved her relationship with jacob, who i really adored. i love the way the grumpy/sunshine trope was done in this book. the characters were so well developed and their relationship was so freaking cute. i think i would have loved to see more of eve's growth tho!!

#HeyGirl. Looking for some hot romance this #ValentinesDay? Then definitely check out @TaliaHibbert’s #BrownSisters series. I just finished an #ARC of the third book in the series #ActYourAgeEveBrown and it was soooo good! Hilarious and sexy, those sisters never disappoint. This one releases on March 9, so if you haven’t read the first two books, I highly recommend them, although you don’t need to read them before this one since each book focuses on a different sister.

Eve Brown is the youngest Brown sister. Still living at home and unable to commit to a career, she has her parents at a loss as to what to do with her. So, they put a hold on her trust fund until she finds a job and sticks with it for at least one year. She drives off in a huff and gets entangled in a crazy situation where she finds herself hired on as a cook at a B&B with a hot boss who’s riddled with OCD tendencies that rival Eve’s oldest sister Chloe. Hilarity and steamy (sometimes raunchy) chaos ensues.

Thank you @netgalley, @Avonbooks, and @HarperVoyagerUS for the opportunity to review this advanced copy. I don’t think I could’ve waited until March 9! It was fantastic!

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ / Act Your Age, Eve Brown by Talia Hibbert / Pages: 395 / Genre: Romance / Release Date: Mar. 9, 2021

This was an incredibly heartfelt story about a woman thrust from her comfort zone, who coincidentally ended up in someone else's. Eve is told to grow up by her folks and goes about doing just that, and discovers much about herself on the way. I love that she came more into understanding herself instead of suddenly realizing facets that were already there. She knew much about herself, and grew to appreciate and understand it further.

Her love interest, Jacob, also has baggage, and it isn't portrayed as something easy to tuck away, but rather something he is working on. He cares for the needs of others, as he knows the world can often overlook said needs, and although he starts out judgemental and cross, that exterior is cracked as he understands how it has been harmful, even when it feels protective.

I love this series, and this third novel is lovely.

Thank you so much to Netgalley and Avon and Harper Voyager for the opportunity to read and review this book.
This Book! THIS BOOK!! haha sorry about the caps but I truly enjoyed my time with this story. I loved taking my time learning about both characters and how they can fit into each other. There is own voices Autism Spectrum Disorders representation but its played into the story unexpectedly and I loved it very much. There was so much that I was able to highlight because the words that were presented from both perspectives were items I was able to relate to and many people can when it comes to finding yourself and trying to become independent along with trying to navigate boundaries and falling in love. The only aspect that I wished was explored more were both of main characters' pasts. I think it would have made this book a lot more profound and I would have loved it even more. Because of these points, I have to give this a 4.5 out of 5 stars.

I really love how Talia Hibbert incorporates so many types of people in her novels. She is one of the most inclusive authors, I believe I've ever read.

Act Your Age, Eve Brown, is very similar in plot structures to the previous two books in the series, but I love how each sister is truly unique. Yes, they have similarities, but they are all their own people. I think this adds to the authenticity of the characters. Anyone who likes fun, flirty romance novels will enjoy this.

My library patrons tend to prefer less steamy romance novels, but I will be recommending this book and series to anyone who isn't quite as prudish. :)

I really loved how Eve confused her words, and how Jacob always helped her rather than rudely corrected her. I think the only thing that would make this book better is less predictability in plot. It's the same structure as the other two books, which I enjoyed, but I'd also like something that goes a bit differently.

This whole series is such a delight, and so KIND. Eve is underestimated by everyone around her, and underestimates herself as well. She stumbles into a job at a B & B, and begins to prove herself to the owner while falling for him. The hot, grumpily charming owner is autistic and from my (neurotypical, so take it with a grain of salt!] perspective this was handled very well. The sisters and boyfriends we got to know in earlier books.make cameo appearances, as do the parents and the inimitable grandmother and her girlfriend.

I love Talia Hibbert's series on the Brown sisters and I'm really excited to see where she takes us next. The previous two in the series gave us unrepresented viewpoints for us to see ourselves in and this title is no different. The romance was pitch perfect and very sweet.

This is hands down the best book of the series and the best Talia Hibbert book that I’ve read so far!!

Wow, everything about this book was just so perfect. Eve and Jacob are both such lovable characters, and so many moments between the two of them made me want to squeal with delight. Their banter was so fun and the steamy scenes were *chef’s kiss*. I loved the autism rep as well, though I would suggest checking out own voices reviews if you want that perspective.

I can’t wait to see what Hibbert comes out with next! Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for providing an e-arc in exchange for an honest review.

Talia Hibbert saved the best for last in her Brown sisters series because Act Your Age, Eve Brown is ALL. THE. FEELS. While the first two books in this series were really good, I don't remember the last time I wanted to alternate between laughing and getting teary-eyed through a whole entire romance novel. Hibbert clearly has a pulse on creating characters that don't fit the norm of beautiful, flawless beautiful and then imbuing them with such heart that you believe in every word she writes. In this story it happens to be youngest sister Eve Brown, who feels like she never lives up to anyone's expectations, and Jacob Wayne, whose world-traveling parents dumped him on his aunt's doorstep and left him to figure out his autism on his own. And while the pair initially bicker, they (and the reader) can quickly see that Jacob's rigid rules and uptight mannerisms are perfectly balanced out by Eve's spontaneity and go-with-the flow approach. You will root for this pair all the way, enjoy some super funny, super sweet and super steamy moments - and wish for a Jacob (or Eve) of your very own. I absolutely LOVED it!

I LOVE Talia Hibbert's Brown sisters series! Get A Life, Chloe Brown and Take A Hint, Dani Brown are among my very, VERY favorite books and the third installment Act Your Age, Eve Brown is no different. As each book in the series came out I couldn't imagine I would like it as much as the previous, but I was always proven wrong! Eve and Jacob's story was such a delight. What's not to love about a hilarious, sweet yet steamy, forced proximity/workplace romance set in an adorable countryside B&B?! Something about this series just resonates so well with me. I adore the world and characters Hibbert has created and the way she has tackled such issues as chronic pain, anxiety, trauma, and autism throughout the series in not only a realistic way, but with such grace and nuance. I recommend Hibbert's books as often as I can and can't wait to see what she writes next!

It was such a delight to hang out with the Brown's again!
I love a trope of confined spaces, it's just so hard to resist the tension between the characters!
I bonded with Eve the least of the sisters in the family. However, I did bond with her enough to constantly call her Evie, as though we were old friends.
There's something special about a final book in a series. You get to revisit your favorite characters with their respective partners. You confirm that the duo's were MFEO. (You know you get that reference! Sleepless in Seattle? Made for Each Other!)

I would consider the steam level of this novel to fall in line with the whole series, as a 5 out of 5 steam level..

Okay let's talk about the hero in this book. I very much liked Jacob- I appreciated his candor and his specificity of every to-do list item at his Bed and Breakfast. Oh, did I not mention He was the owner of a B&B? I know! Can it be anymore Hallmark themed? I love it! (Let's be clear, it's Hallmark with a 5 steam level!)

Let's talk about the character who stood out the most to me... Jacob's best friend! I loved him and his sisters, and I hope then get a series on their own!

Overall this book was a 3.5- 4 star read- but falls into the four stars simply for getting to revisit my greatly missed Brown sisters!

Talia Hibbert was an author that made me fall in love with reading romance. i first read Get a Life, Chloe Brown in 2019 and thought ‘No romance will ever top this’ and then I read Take a Hint, Dani Brown last year and i thought ‘No romance will ever top this’ and now i’ve just read Act Your Age, Eve Brown, and somehow Talia Hibbert just keeps one-upping herself.

once i picked this up, i couldn’t put it down. when i went to work, i found sneaky moments to allow myself one page to read (sometimes more). i couldn’t help it. just as eve was sucked into castell cottage, so was i. It was delightful to watch as eve and jacob challenged each other and watching them adapt to their work dynamic was so rewarding.

like the preceding brown sisters, eve isn’t only finding romance, but she’s learning more about herself and becoming more self accepting. what i loved about this novel is that neither eve nor jacob ever changed anything about themselves to appeal to the other. in fact, what was a turn off for other people in their lives, the two of them loved the other more for it. it was so lovely to have characters struggle with certain parts of themselves and then eventually come to love and appreciate that about them. with eve, we get to witness this first hand as she bumbles from job opportunity to job opportunity, feeling ashamed of herself for not quite understanding why and of failing.

that, too, was relatable. not knowing your passions and struggling to find work that fulfills you is such a fear, but to see eve figure out what she wants after years of disappointment, was divine.

talia hibbert is a genius and i truly cannot wait to read what she writes in the future and also can’t wait to dig into her previous publications!

gives yourself some happiness and pick up these books!

Those fabulous Brown sisters! I loved Get A Life, Chloe Brown, and Take A Hint, Dani Brown, so I couldn’t wait to read the third book about the youngest Brown, Eve. I loved her journey of self-discovery as she learned to trust herself. She meets hers match with Jacob and sparks fly. The Bed & Breakfast setting was cute & the supporting characters were wonderful too. We see a little more of Eve’s quirky family (& some *very* hot sex scenes) so it was overall another delightful story from Talia Hibbert.

Talia Hibbert deals with pretty serious issues with such hilarity that it is no wonder that by the end of her novels, you feel better for reading them. Eve Brown and Jacob Wayne *might* be my favorite of Hibbert's couples, but it is hard to just choose one. Act Your Age was hilarious and we love a good grump. I will definitely be telling people about this one (and the other Brown Sisters novels as well!).

Thanks to @avonbooks and @taliahibbert for my gifted copy of Act Your Age, Eve Brown! I may or may not have squealed in joy when it arrived. Act Your Age, Eve Brown comes out on March 9th.

In this book, we meet the third Brown sister: Eve. The youngest one, Eve has had trouble landing on a career path that she likes. After a disastrous wedding incident, Eve goes out on a drive, and tries to interview at a bed and breakfast for a job. As the owner, Jacob Wayne, is coming out to tell her that she got the job, she backs up her car to leave and accidentally hits him! Short staffed, and now very injured, Jacob is forced to hire Eve. However, as she starts to work her magic and help him around the bed and breakfast, Jacob’s very frosty and hard exterior slowly begins to melt.

Y’all, Talia Hibbert did it AGAIN! If you loved the first two Brown sisters books, you’ll love this one as well. The trademark humor, steam, and sass are all there. I was laughing audibly at several points while reading this book. Romance readers, Act Your Age, Eve Brown is definitely for you.

Another big reason that Talia Hibbert will always have my heart is that she is very upfront about any potential triggers or issues within her books. She includes a note at the front, and details what they are. You don’t see this often, and it’s such a kind gesture to do.

I can’t not explain how amazing this book was! I knew from the very beginning I would love it! Dani, Chloe, and now Eve have had some amazing books. The romances feel so real and the problems touch my soul every time. I can not explain how happy this book had made me. Now, I just need to get my hands on the physical copy.

I went into this one knowing that I was going to love it, but I truly did not expect to fall for Eve and Jacob as hard as I did. There were multiple times that I found myself smiling and giggling while reading their banter and honestly their chemistry leapt off of every single page. I'm so sad that this book marks the end of the Brown Sisters trilogy but I am SO GLAD that it ended on such a high note and I honestly think that Jacob might even be my favorite of all three of the heroes. Ugh everything about this series was just perfect and and I cannot WAIT to read everything Talia Hibbert publishes in the future!!!

Act Your Age, Eve Brown is the third Book in The Brown Sisters series by Talia Hibbert. Eve Brown has been fumbling through her adult life without a sense of direction. She has bounced from job to job and her parents are finally putting their foot down. They want Eve to grow up and hold a job for at least a year before they restart her trust fund payments. When Eve happens upon interviews in progress for a chef position at a bed and breakfast, she gets in for an interview. Jacob Wayne, the owner of the bed and breakfast, makes it clear that he is not interested in hiring her. When Eve accidentally hits him with her car, she is forced to stick around to help him around the bed and breakfast. What starts off as a very contentious boss/employee relationship eventually becomes a passionately heated romance.

I really liked that this book had neurodiverse representation. Jacob is surly, straightforward, and likes things just so. The simplest things drive him mad, including Eve. But there is something about spunky Eve that also drives him mad in all the good ways as well. Eve kind of reminds me of her sister, Dani, in the sense that she is a free spirit and confident. I love the crazy t-shirts she wears - they had me laughing!

I wished there was a little more development of their relationship before they realized they were in love. I felt like one minute they hated each other and then the next minute they were in love. I loved the sex scenes in this book - they were the hottest of the series and they will definitely stand out in my memory as really steamy ones. I really like it when the guy dirty talks and Jacob definitely brought it in this one, and Eve had a filthier mouth than he did and I loved it!

Steam level: 🔥🔥🔥

My thanks to NetGalley for making an eARC copy of this book available to me.

If you enjoyed the previous two books in this series, you're pretty sure to enjoy this one as well. As in those two books, the sister in this one has her own specific life challenges. As the book opens, Eve has abandoned yet another in a long list of "career opportunities" and this one causes her parents to give her an ultimatum. Eve runs away and falls into a brand new job at a B&B. I really enjoyed the interactions between Eve and Jacob during the first half of the book, as they slowly got to know and appreciate each other. However, I felt that the book suffered a bit when the focus of the relationship moved into the sexual/physical arena, leaving behind most of the enjoyable banter from the earlier part of their relationship. It was all well written, but I would have liked (gasp!) less focus on the sex and more on the banter.

I'm looking forward to more books from this author in the same vein, even though we've run out of Brown sisters at this point.

Synopsis: Even Brown has always jumped from job to job. Always leaving when things start to get rough, but she has always told herself it was okay because it wasn't the right path for her. But now Eve is 26, and her parents are forcing her to grow up. She must hold a job for a year so she can prove she's a certified adult. In response, Even runs away from her emotions and straight into Castell Cottage, a quaint Bed and Breakfast, and thus straight into the life of always in control Jacob.

My Thoughts: This is the third Brown sister's book, and I'm not quite sure if I should give this book heart eyes or a crying face because it's over. I want ALL of Talia Hibbert's books (I stand by my tweet I sent her saying I'm trash for all of her books). I have read all three of these in an increasingly short amount of time. I read Eve Brown in two sittings. Like 20% one day, and the other 80% the next. I loved every word Hibbert put on the page.
There's so much I loved about this book, and nothing I didn't. So I promise I'll try not to gush TOO much, but I've never been good at reeling myself back.
First and foremost, I love Eve. She is so unapologetically herself, while also being unsure. In the previous books, we get Chloe and Dani, both of whom have no issues being unsure, but Eve hides her uncertainty behind her smiles and job-hopping. It's something I can personally relate to, so I greatly appreciated it. I even love that she would quit the jobs she was doing even if she was good at them, just because she didn't love it. I think that is an aspect people need to implement more. Just because you're good at something doesn't mean you have to do it! Eve also has more guts than I could ever hope to have, and I love that. She wears what she wants to wear, she calls people out on things without fear, and she takes care of those around her. She is the perfect antithesis to Jacob. It was such a fun refreshing read, and I enjoyed her perspective on everything. Her stubbornness mixed with Jacob's had me in full fits of giggles, and me dying to read more. Eve is a fantastic protagonist. And she is even amped up with Jacob, while also amping him up as a character. It was beautiful.
I also feel like I must add that the *steamy* scenes were immaculate. It's what I was searching for in the previous romance books I read. I want some arguments, some steam, some funny parts interspersed, I loved them all (is that inappropriate to say?). Needless to say, I'd give the steam 10/10.
The previous characters popping up in various parts of the story is another part that I loved, and honestly, that makes me appreciate Hibbert's book so much. It's so fun to see the family show up, especially since it proves how much family means to the Brown family. Show me don't tell me they're close!! Thank you, Talia Hibbert! This book also has a scene that solidified my love for Red. He somehow has jumped up to be my favorite of the significant others, and I don't know how.
But overall, I love that this book takes all sorts of topics and makes them normal. Because they are normal things, but people either don't think about them. And communication is so nice and refreshing in books. Also, I now have high hopes of finding a significant other that will give me a grand gesture to show me their love. So thanks again, Talia Hibbert. I will read anything you write.
Would I recommend: YES! If the lack of things I didn't like didn't let you know, or the love I have for everything, or the (2? 3?) thank you's to Talia Hibbert herself didn't tell you, what will? READ IT. Along with her other books!
