In the final installation of books about the Brown sisters, readers follow Eve, the youngest, as she goes on a journey to grow up and not be a spoiled brat. Eve has had many jobs over the years, including but not limited to fire-eating and abseiling instructor. When her most recent flight of fancy, wedding planning, goes slightly sour and she runs from the trouble again her parents finally decide they’ve had enough and tell Eve she has to grow up and support herself.
Eve runs off in a fit of brattiness 👀 and finds herself at Castell Cottage, a cute little B&B run by a hot, grumpy guy who just happens to be looking for a chef.
This book was beyond cute. We get Hibbert’s signature mix of snarky banter, heart-melting fluff, and spiiiiceeeee 🥵
I don’t often say this about characters, but I related to Eve in a lot of ways. She starts out the book considering herself a failure, a child who has no real agency or talents. She runs away when things get hard because she’s led her whole life believing she doesn’t have any ability. She’s sweet and she’s silly and when she meets Jacob, the owner of Castell Cottage, he pushes her to see herself as the capable and very talented adult that she is.
The book was so lovable, the characters were all sweet as pie, and I read it in two days because it was just readable! As all the Brown sisters books have been.
TWs are stated in the beginning of the book but I’ll also say here: this books talks shortly about maltreatment of characters with autism.
Thank you to @netgalley @avonbooks and @taliahibbert for my ARC!

Many thanks to the publisher for seeking out reviews from the autistic community. After devouring the first two books in The Brown Sisters series I was genuinely ecstatic upon getting the opportunity to receive an advance copy of Eve's story.
Talia Hibbert has done a masterful job of giving an honest portrayal of the autistic experience in this wonderful romance. Her trademark comedy and snappy dialogue is beautifully balanced with powerful, emotional moments that took my breath away.
This book has it all. It's funny and sexy and smart and I'm sure I'm not alone in wishing there were more Brown sisters stories on the way!

For me, reading a Talia Hibbert book is like snuggling up under a warm blanket. Her stories are sweet and filled with witty banter and romantic moments (and sex; can't forget the sex), but most importantly, they celebrate falling in love with someone because of who they are, not because of their potential or to change them.
In the final installment of the Brown Sisters trilogy, Talia incorporates all of the above--in fact, it may be my favorite (though I identified more with the Dani-Zaf relationship). The romance between the effusive, chaotic Eve and the particular-yet-secretly-sweet Jacob, both of whom are autistic, is SO well done; their chemistry is palpable, and they complement each other perfectly. If you like an enemies-to-lovers trope and a grumpy-sunshine couple, you'll love this.
I'm sad this series is over, but I hope this paves the way for a Montague sibling trilogy...

After adoring Take a Hint, Dani Brown last year, this was one of my most anticipated reads of 2021.
It follows the third Brown sister, Eve, who just happens to be wandering aimlessly, giving up on her dreams/jobs shortly after taking them. When her parents give her the ultimate push to get her life in order, Eve just takes off and drives, finding herself at a Bed & Breakfast that happens to be in need of a new Chef.
The owner, Jacob, doesn't want to give Eve a chance at the job since he wants absolute perfection for his understaffed B&B. When he is left with no choice, Eve steps in and works to prove herself to her new, control freak boss.
While it didn't hit the mark as amazingly well as Dani did for me, it was still an enjoyable read. I loved all the representation, especially including those on the spectrum. You get to see how wide it is and how no two people have the same uniqueness and ways to manage it.
3.5/5

This was so cute!! I’ve always loved Chloe, Dani, and Eve’s relationship throughout the first two books and I loved seeing more of it in the third book as well! I also loved learning more about Eve! Her relationship with Jacob was also adorable! This was definitely the perfect ending to The Brown Sisters trilogy!

What a great book! Not my typical read but a good choice for the way I feel right now. I think I was smiling as I read this whole book. It brought me joy and isn't that what we need right now in our book life. Great story! Thanks to Avon and Harper Voyager and NetGalley for the ARC.
I will recommend this book to others looking for a light read.
5 star

Once again, Talia Hibbert made me laugh, cry, and root for her characters as they fumbled their way through the ups and downs of life. I love how Hibbert presents people who are always fully themselves. Their journey isn't to change FOR a new love or to let a new love SAVE them, but to find a person who loves them just as they are and supports them fiercely. She deals with issues of mental health and disability with humor and grace, all while crafting a spicy, swoon romance. I loved it!

The best Brown Sisters book, hands down. Eve is my favorite sister, and Talia Hibbert pulled out all the stops for her story. This is a book that I immediately wanted to reread after finished. I was laughing hysterically from the very beginning, from the banter to the antics of Eve and Jacob - two humans so perfectly matched for each other (to their chagrin).
I'm always here for an enemies to lovers book, if you know me you know this. When Eve is tossed out of her parent's house, told she needed to find a job and grow up, she drives off in a huff and stops at the first interesting place she sees - Castell Cottage, a B&B in a small town. To her luck, there's a hiring sign for a chef, and Eve needs a job. What she doesn't expect to find is Jacob, who seems to hate her immediately for no reason, and then hates her even more after she runs him over with her car.
Jacob has autism, and prefers everything to be in it's place. Eve is a whirlwind who threatens his way of life. But, she burrows under his skin with every smile and playful flirting. I adored Jacob's character and appreciated his friendships and understanding of who he is and what he is passionate about. As a neurotypical person, I cannot speak to the accuracy of the autistic rep in this book - I always appreciate representation.
I cannot even find one thing I did not like about this book. I read parts out loud to my fiance and he found the story equally as funny. If you've loved the previous Brown Sister's book you'll definitely love this one, but you don't have to read the others first to enjoy it!
**Thank you to Avon and Netgalley for an early copy in exchange for an honest review**

Talia Hibbert has done it again with Act Your Age, Eve Brown and I don't really have words to share other than to say that everybody needs to read this book. But I will give detailed feedback since that's my responsibility here.
What I loved:
1. Eve is by far my favorite brown sister. She's pure chaos and I loved her in her sisters' stories but following her journey was a true treat. She's smart, funny, and witty and I've never seen myself on pages more than I did while reading this book
2. I absolutely positively adored Jacob. I love a neurodiverse story and upon realizing that Jacob was on the autism spectrum, I was immediately invested in how the love story would unfold from his perspective since that's not a perspective I get to read often
4. The chemistry between Eve and Jacob was palpable immediately. When reading books like this, we pretty much know that the love interests will end up together but I was genuinely invested in how their relationship would unfold. Everything about their connection felt real and honest and I truly couldn't get enough of them together.
5. Talia Hibbert is a MASTER crafter of banter. Honestly, the only other romance author that could rival her in this category would be Sally Thorne but Talia is still the queen by far. Every conversation between Jacob and Eve felt like it was real and while reading I felt like I was looking in on a real relationship
6. The steam.... OH BOY. All I'm going to say is that wow... Talia.. you did it.
What I didn't like
1. Literally nothing, this book was perfect start to finish.
I can't wait to share this with my followers on pub day. Thanks for the opportunity to read it early, I'm already thinking about when I can reread it.

Thank you to NetGalley and Avon for the gifted copy of this book; all opinions are my own.
CW: Mentions of childhood neglect, open door romance
Oh my gosh, I am OBSESSED with this book and now am experiencing the dreaded book hangover! How will I move on from Eve and Jacob!
These two are the PERFECT sunshine / grump and I was dying over the backhanded compliments they kept giving each other. They are both so attracted to, but annoyed with, each other; I couldn’t stop smiling or laughing over BOTH of their inner monologues and the snarky back and forth banter.
Although they seem to be opposites, they understand one another on a deep level and develop a connection that made my heart so happy. They support each other unconditionally and are the absolute freaking cutest.
Oh, and we can’t forget about the chemistry … it is super steamy and H O T!
I adored these characters, this book & the Brown sister’s series. I cannot recommend it enough!

I LOVED THIS I LOVED THIS I LOVED THIS!!
What a perfect ending to a perfect trilogy. This last book didn't lose any of the humor or sexiness or romance that the previous two books held. I loved Eve and Jacob both individually and as a relationship, like everything worked for me. I laughed I 'aww-ed' I loved seeing their relationship unfold. I'm so sad that this was the last book for the Brown sisters but I enjoyed all three books like IMMENSELY. Thank you so much Miss Talia Hibbert for including some of my favorite tropes I loved to see in my romances: miscommunication and just the ~angst.~ I cannot wait to see what she puts out next because I will be reading 100%.

Simply put, I ADORED this freaking book!! This story is above Eve Brown, who after being financially cut-off from her family, flees home and winds up at a cute B&B in The Lake District in England, where she applies for a Chef position to prove to her family that she can hold down a job and support herself. The B&B owner, Jacob, relentlessly hires her out of desperation, even after a very rocky first meeting. This story is very character driven - it centers around their own self discovery and learning to accept who they are - while, obviously, falling in love with each other! Damn if I didn't just smile the whole time I was reading this book... it brought me a whole lot of JOY.
Things I loved about this book:
- EVE and JACOB! Gosh, I just loved these two. They appear to be complete opposites, but end up having so much in common, and because of this, they grow very close. It was evident that they genuinely cared for and loved each other. Their relationship made my heart a pile of goopy mush.
- THEIR BANTER. These two LOVE to bicker and banter, and damn, if I didn't love every second of it. I was smirking and laughing along with them while they were throwing quick whips at each other.
- Jacob is autistic and I loved how accepting and easy it was for Eve to understand him and his needs.
- We got to see the whole Brown family again, which I will never get enough of!
I seriously can't think of one thing about this book I didn't enjoy! I came away from this story smiling ear-to-ear and was so sad when I finished it, that I don't think I can give it anything but 5 stars. I'm SO SAD this is last book in this series!! I need more of the Brown family in my life!!

“You can’t avoid trying at anything in case you fail...failure is a necessary part of growth “
Act your age, Eve Brown is the third book in the Brown sisters series and it follows Eve and Jacob. Eve is determined to finally succeed and prove to herself and her family that she is capable of following through with a career and not run away when the going gets tough. Jacob is the owner of a bed and breakfast and he is desperate for a chef. The task seems impossible until Eve comes stumbling into his kitchen.
“ I was fine without you before, and I’ll be fine again.”
The common themes throughout the book is the fear of failure, fear of abandonment , of being passed over and forgotten. The book follows the development of an emotionally intense relationship where the main characters are learning to trust one another, lean into each other.
“Eve everything about you matters.”
Talia Hibbert is one of my favorite authors, her novels are always inclusive. She is known for neurodiverse characters, plus/full size female leads and interracial relationships.
“Because when you love someone everything hurts a thousand times more.”
This book is everything you never thought you needed in a romance. It is funny, sexy and full of sarcasm! The sexual tension between Eve and Jacob is astronomical and when they finally give in, it’s like a cosmic explosion.
It is safe to say that I thoroughly enjoyed this book, it was such a fun read! Nevertheless, Take a hint Dani Brown remains my favorite which is why I’m rating this book a 4.5/5

tw: mentions of former child neglect
This series is such a delight. I have greatly enjoyed every book in The Brown Sisters, and this one is no different. One of the things I love about the series (besides the awesome variety of representation in each book) is how conflict is resolved fairly quickly but also realistically. In this book, we also have two characters who are both on the autism spectrum. It was so interesting to see how these two neurodivergent people related to one another on a different level and was very sweet. Neither one is infantilized by the narrative as well, which was great to see. The one downfall for this series for me is the smut level of the sex scenes. They are always so unexpected for a series that is considered more mainstream and definitely isn't erotica. But the sex scenes can be so over the top in these books. I still highly enjoy this series though and do plan on reading more Talia Hibbert in the future.

Ohhh my gosh, I’m obsessed with Talia Hibbert. I don’t think her writing is *quite* for everybody, but that’s because of how she doesn’t take anything seriously. Everything has a joke in it, even the sex scenes, and it makes me feel so light and happy. If you really just love to have fun while you read, this series is great for you.
Her characters always have conflict, of course, it can’t be ALL fun and games. Eve can’t commit to a job, she perceives herself as having failed at everything she’s moved on from, and her parents are over it and tell her she has to stay at one job for an entire year before she’s allowed access to their family money and stuff. She, wounded but seeing their point a little, leaves and just drives aimlessly, until she finds a little B&B that’s hiring. She clashes with Jacob, who interviews her, but later, under quite funny circumstances, she finds herself at the helm of the B&B anyway.
Jacob, the owner, has autism, and pretty much accepts himself as he is. Eve and her chaos completely throw him out of his routine, though, and they’re both forced to learn new things about themselves. Eve realizes where her passions lie, and Jacob realizes that he can relinquish a little control and trust someone without letting everything fall away. Jacob has abandonment issues that stem from childhood, and you see that come into play over the course of the story as well. Talia Hibbert just writes characters who make each other better so well.
The romance is sweet, the sex is POPPIN’, and the ending is cozy. There’s not a whole lot to say about this, other than it fits in perfectly with the series and I really hope we one day see more from the Brown sisters.

Eve is my favorite Brown sister, and this book is all the delightful feel-goodness you need right now. Juicy AND heartfelt..

I laughed, I cried, and all-around had a good time!
Talia Hibbert is back at it again with another fun Brown Sister! This time the youngest sister Eve finally gets to shine. In this book, you get to see that Eve is so afraid of failure that she flits from career to career never settling so she can never fail. But after her parents cut her off from her trust fund Eve must now support herself. This leads her to work as a Chef at a B&B....after she runs over the very sexy owners and breaks his wrist. Naturally- attraction, arguments, and love follow.
I love how Talia Hibbert is always showing positive representation. In this one, our main characters have anxiety, autism, and body positivity just to name a few. I can’t speak for autism but I found the anxiety and Eves fear of failure to be well handled and relatable.
I also have to add that I loved all of the references that Eve dropped throughout this book! Totally Spies, Captain America Fanfic, and 2013 Belgium rap all made an appearance, and every time it felt like a personal note that was given especially to me and my generation.
Thank you to Netgalley and Avon Books for a digital ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Eve Brown has always had trouble sticking to one path in life. She's tried and failed at so many different careers and after a mishap with some doves at a wedding she planned, her parents have finally had enough. Through coddling their adult daughter who should know better by now, Eve's parents decide to cut her off from her trust fund for one year during which she must prove to them that she can hold down a job and make her way in the world. Beside herself with embarrassment and frustration, Eve vows to grow up and prove herself and she stumbles upon the perfect opportunity: a B&B looking for a new chef. The only problem? She may have gotten off on the wrong foot when she accidentally runs over the owner.
To say Jacob Wayne is a stickler for rules and order would be a massive understatement. Everything about himself and the B&B he runs is neat and orderly, so he is instantly affronted by the tornado that is Eve Brown. So when she breezes in to interview for a position, he responds with an emphatic hell no. When he realizes it's her or nothing, Jacob runs after her and meets the backend of her car. Now, with a broken arm and an understaffed B&B, Jacob has no choice but to let Eve help. It's only a matter of days before Eve has wiggled her way into everything from his kitchen to his spare bedroom, but the biggest threat of all may be how her sunny disposition is slowly melting away at all the ice around Jacob's heart.
Wow, Talia Hibbert really saved the best Brown sister for last! This was hands down my favorite of the series. It was just so much fun from beginning to end. Eve may come off as a bit flighty, but deep down she has all these insecurities and she truly cares so much about everyone. Jacob, I knew I was going to love as soon as he opened his mouth. He's so blunt and a bit abrasive, but the way he eventually opens up to Eve was so sweet. Their back-and-forth banter was everything because they each gave as good as they got and weren't afraid to push one another's buttons. There were so many moments that had me laughing out loud. I also loved the adorable B&B setting and all the new secondary characters we get to meet. This is definitely one of the best opposites attract tropes I've seen done in a while. If you're a fan of this series or are just looking for a new romance to squeal over, this is the one to pick up.

Thank you @netgalley @avonbooks and @taliahibbert for the #advancedreaderscopy of Act Your Age, Eve Brown. This is part of a series about the Brown sisters. My thoughts: This book was so fun! I’ve never read a book before where the love interest was Autistic and I’m not sure why that isn’t more common! What a great way to dive into a different perspective! Eve Brown was just so lovely and likable it was a great read. It was a smidge to steamy and sexy to get 5⭐️ from me but if you love that then this is the book for you!

Her sister may have their careers all figured out, but not so with Eve Brown!
More of a hot mess express, Eve wakes up one morning after a disastrous wedding - which she may or may not have ruined with her early release of the doves, and the ripping of the bride's dress - to find that her parents are cutting off access to her trust fund. Feeling lost a little put-out, Eve decides that a drive will clear her mind.
Then she sees a sign, both figurative and literal, for a chef opening at a B&B. The owner, Jacob, is looking for someone who can withstand his exacting expectations and overbearing manner. When a purple-haired, orange shirt wearing tornado of a woman sits down for the interview, Jacob knows that it's a disaster in the making.
In a dramatic sequence of events, Eve runs Jacob over with her car, finds herself the new chef at his B&B, and also his live-in nurse while he is recovering from a concussion! Talia Hibbert's brand of humor is GOLD! I laughed my head off when Jacob thought he was hallucinating Eve taking care of him and messing with his nest.
There is such beauty in the way that Talia Hibbert unfolds their relationship. Equal parts, funny, romantic, and super steamy!
