This is a Contemporary Romance, and this is the third book in the Brown Sisters. I have to say this is my favorite one, and the other two was so good. This one was funny and the characters found the person they needed at that time. I love the Autism in this book, and I love this book shows that autism is very different from girls and boys. I have an Autistic daughter and son. I think Eve is my favorite Brown sister. I am sad to see that this is the last Brown sisters book. Of course the character in this book was fun and very developed. This book is well written, and I love Talia Hibbert's writing style. I was kindly provided an e-copy of this book by the publisher (Avon) or author (Talia Hibbert) via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review about how I feel about this book, and I want to send a big Thank you to them for that.

ARC received by Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

This was probably my favorite out of this series. I really did enjoy both Eve and Jacob's voices. Both seemed quite real to me as did the minor characters. That might be my one gripe is that there is so much focus on the main couple most of the other characters got very little screen time. I wanted to see more about Jacob's world and the friends he had since he was new to us readers. What really made this book to me was that the conflict between the characters felt real. Sometimes in romance books that last conflict can feel a bit forced as if the author just needed something to cause drama. This time was not the case because the conflict felt genuine. I can't wait to see where this author goes from here.

Red (the hero from Get a Life, Chloe Brown) has taken up residence as one of my all-time favorite Talia Hibbert heroes, but he's going to have to share the title now that I've met buttoned-up, glasses-wearing, duck-hating Jacob Wayne. He goes around daring to say things like "you're not just sunshine, you're the sun"—I never stood a chance.

Act Your Age, Eve Brown blew me away, and felt like the perfect end to a truly special series. Eve is searching for a way to prove to her family (and herself) that she isn't the mess they think she is. On her way to proving this, she accidentally hits Jacob with her car and steps in as the chef of his bed and breakfast while he heals to make things right.

From a meet disaster to a grumpy hero who loves order and a sunshine chaotic heroine, everything about this book worked for me. Hibbert packed in hilarity at every single turn (truly I believe this is her funniest book), but what really made this a perfect read was how Eve learned that finding the right path is all about finding the one that's right for her, not anyone else, and reading along as Jacob learned to lower his walls and let the woman who changed his life into his heart.

This truly felt like a romance about two nuanced characters learning to love each other the best way they each knew how, and it was beautiful. I can see myself returning to it time and again as a comfort read. I'm so happy to have finally met the Brown sisters and their beaus. If you haven't read this series yet, I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Talia Hubert is my favorite romance writer working today. Her stuff is smart and sexy, and I loved the chemistry between the main characters in this book in particular. Highly recommend

Okay, it’s absolutely no secret that I am absolute romance fanatic - and that I fell in love with Talia Hibbert’s Brown Sisters - amazingly diverse romances with such intricate emotional issues that will have you all snug and soft in a virtual warm hug.

Eve Brown, the youngest Brown sister and the most messy of all. She hasn’t been able to find her passion, and tends to flit from one career to other. She knows her family considers her to be a mess but she has a supportive family; and she always finds a way to move forward.

However, this time, her leaving her wedding planner business behind, after a wedding from hell; finds her family’s limits. She finds her parents disappointed when she gives up on this venture as well; so she jumps at the first gainful employment she finds - at a Boutique Bed and Breakfast owned and run by a grumpy, rude and sarcastic Jacob.

Now their first meeting doesn’t really go over that well; especially considering that Eve runs over Jacob at the end of the interview. So now, Eve has no choice, but to help out because Jacob really can’t do everything that he does, now that he is injured, until the Gingerbread Festival.

Talia Hibbert’s Brown Suster series is one of my all time favourite, not only because she writes some amazingly three dimensional characters who will end up making a place in your heart.

That’s exactly what happens with Eve and Jacob as well - you have two complex characters with their motivations; and their intricacies - you will find yourself laughing with them, enjoying their banter and their sexual chemistry- and in the end find yourself closing the book with enough nostalgia, wanting to pick up the book and these sister’s HEA all over again!

As the youngest Brown sister, Eve is also the flightiest, hopping from one career path to the next, living off her trust fund until her parents cut her off, claiming that the time has come for Eve to settle down and apply herself. In a fit of frustration, Eve climbs in her car and drives off, stumbling across a small B&B that is holding open interviews for a chef — so OF COURSE she gives it a shot. While B&B owner Jacob is not impressed by her casual manner, he's also desperate, and after initially rejecting her, he chases after her, only for her to hit him with her car. Somehow, she still manages to end up working at the B&B, sparks fly, etc etc

Only now, while writing that summary, do I realize how ridiculous this whole book is. I absolutely loved Hibbert's first two books in the Brown sisters series, and I had very high hopes for this one. While the presence of an autistic main character in a romance novel is refreshing, it's not handled particularly well (more stereotypes than anything), which also causes problems. Read the first two Hibbert books (Get a Life, Chloe Brown and Take a Hint, Dani Brown), leave this one on the shelf, and keep your fingers crossed for her next title.

The third book in the Brown Sisters Trilogy - Eve is the one who has the great ideas that seem to end quite differently than what was planned. Whether due to something beyond her control or a wacky combination of events, Eve continually fails or quits what she starts. This pattern has left her adrift and unhappy.

After one particularly bad situation goes awry, Eve is forced to do a 180 and try something new. She impulsively interviews for and accepts a job as a B&B chef for someone who is more quirky than she is. Along the way, they discover they have more in common than initially met the eye, and that opposites do attract.

Eve discovers some aspects about herself that provide insight and enlightenment, while giving her courage to face past decisions and impact future options. And in Hibbert's typical style, the book has witty dialogue, addressing societal issues and of course, a burgeoning romance!.

I do recommend reading the first two books in the series, as references are made to other Brown sisters, and it will make more sense, as well as avoid spoilers, if read in order. I look forward to reading more of Hibbert's books.

I received an advance copy of this book from NetGalley and have provided an objective review.

Each Talia Hibbert book is better than the last. I recommend the Brown Sisters trilogy to any lover of rom-coms and have included them in our adult book bundles!

Talia Hibbert has done it again! Another loveable heroine that learns something about herself along the way BUT doesn't lose herself. I adored Eve Brown and am sad that there aren't more sisters who can fall in love in this series!

as always, talia hit the nail on the head with the final book in the Brown Sisters trilogy! this one was just as good, if not better than the previous two in the series and I can’t put into words how much of a great time I had while in the pages.

from the writing to the development of the characters to the spice factor, 5 out of 5 well deserved stars ❤️

Hello, I'm floating in a cloud of sunshine and rainbows! Ha, get it?

This book was, as Ms Eve Brown would say, DARLING. And I absolutely loved it.

I had a gut feeling and my gut was right. Always trust in yourselves, my friends.

Anyways, this book. Ugh just *insert ALL the heart eyes*. This is definitely my favourite Talia Hibbert so far. Maybe because I knew what to expect or possibly because I've read more romance/smut, who's to say. Either way, this book was the cutest ever and I'm moving to Skybriar. Tis a done deal. Also, I'll be calling you all "my darlings" from now on.

Okay, let's get cracking with the review. I absolutely loved the writing style and dialogue, as was expected because Talia Hibbert is a genius that way. It was full of whimsy and wit and so so funny. I also loved that this book was dual POV. I don't remember if the other two were but this one was done superbly. I was never confused nor did I prefer one over the other. In fact, it made the story even better. So Ruby approved!!

I also ah just LOVE the setting. I am not kidding when I say that I'm moving to Skybriar. I loved that it centred around running a B&B because um, I know how that works (my family runs one). I'm so excited for Talia's new series that's going to be set here because omg it's just the most wonderful small town.

I also super loved all the characters. I loved seeing Eve's family and checking in on Chloe and Danika. I loved Jacob's friends and, of course, Jacob himself. What a CUTIE EEEEEPPP. Literally just obsessed with Eve and Jacob as main characters. As I expected, Eve is definitely my favourite Brown sister. She's just so full of spunk and chaos and I LOVE IT. Same goes for Jacob. I actually had no expectations of him and ahhh want to bundle him up into a ball and squeeze. This book also has own-voices autism representation which I absolutely loved.

Lastly, the romance. Ah were they great. Though I do think their development happened quite quickly and it could have taken place over more than 2 weeks. But it didn't bug me too much. They had such great chemistry and banter. OMG THE BANTER WE LOVE TO SEE IT!! Plus, I actually really liked the smut, which I haven't with the previous books. Oh, and I also read the bonus epilogue from Talia's newsletter which was GREAT. Sunshine & Grumpy 5eva *wink wink*

Overall, this book was so wonderful and I had the best time reading it. It was a lovely escape and ticked all the right boxes. And I'm so excited to see these characters again in the new series. Highly highly recommend this one for swoons and smiles!

This was such an enjoyable romance! I loved the way in which Talia HIbbert gave us a privileged black woman who is struggling with tackling the expectations that come with adulthood. The romance was incredibly sweet and humorous as well.

My heart sung for this book and I was so happy to claim this in a give away. A perfect ending to the Brown sisters, an the perfect set up to a much more expanded universe.

"Love, as unexpected as it was powerful, burned in Jacob like a forest fire, but it left the opposite of destruction in its wake."

What can Talia Hibbert not do?! This Brown Sisters series is so wonderful and I really hope we get something more, even just a short novella set in the future. This installment is heavy on the cameos from the sisters, their love interests, and the family, but it's not really a spoiler and these can be read out of order.

Eve is such a lovable and relatable character. She's a little irresponsible, doesn't like to be tied down, and walks around with one Airpod in at all times. But she 100% herself, and her charm isn't enough to stop the B&B she spontaneously applies to work at from hiring her... even after she runs over the owner. Accidentally.

Thank you to Netgalley and Avon for the e-arc. All opinions are my own.

I can't decide if this one or Dani was funnier, but wow did I laugh so much!! I've also been informed this is the steamiest in the series, but this book was unfortunately my reading slump book, so it took me over a month to read it and I don't recall most of the details lol. The final conflict/showdown was lovely and perfectly done, unlike most cheesy or over-the-top miscommunication for the sake of miscommunication romance novel endings.

There is amazing autism representation, plus the usual plus size and Black lead own voices rep in this series. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to get into the adult romance genre or long-time fans.

A delightful enemies to lovers romance novel. The balance between clear attraction and animosity between Jacob and Eve is so palpable, and the journey that they make getting to know one another is charming and realistic and heartwarming. I absolutely loved the incredible characters, their growth both together and individually - all of it was perfect.

Eve Brown may not be my favorite Brown sister, but Talia Hibbert’s wit and sweet-as-pie characters are still irresistible. This earned a solid four stars from me.

Eve is tired of being the perpetual disaster – after another failed attempt at entrepreneurship, her parents tell her it’s time to settle down and pick a career. But this feels like the ultimate affront to Eve, who has never truly loved any of the career paths or educational opportunities she’s taken. Upset, she takes to the road, drives and drives, until she pulls over in a quaint little town and sits right down for an interview as a chef at a bed and breakfast.

Jacob, the bed and breakfast’s owner, is unimpressed. Eve is sporadic and doesn’t take things seriously. Then, of course, she hits him with his car…so there’s that.

Despite his distaste for her, she does cook well, and he needs her to cook for a food festival coming up to draw more patrons to his B&B. Hopefully, she can make it before she flakes.

Talia Hibbert’s voice when she writes feels like a friend talking to me. The flowery language of Get a Life, Chloe Brown is what I fell in love with in the first place. To be truthful, Dani has been the sister I relate to the most, but I’ve loved all their stories for their unique voices. I just don’t feel like other romance writers are consistently writing with this adorable wit and humor.

As far as the story goes, again, it’s one of my favorite tropes: enemies to lovers, there’s a bed and breakfast involved, AND there’s baking?? I’ll take ten. And Talia does a great job with it, and a great job with character development centered around this scenery. I can see increased confidence in them, see increased self awareness, that makes the characters feel warmer to me.

I also love to see characters with autism represented in this light. I love characters typically misrepresented to be shown as human to begin with, obviously, but Talia has been so good at this throughout her series: fibromyalgia, anxiety, and now autism. Her characters are real and human, and they’re treated as such. None of these things become the focus of the person or their story, but just one of many things that makes them unique and who they are: just like it should be. Not a dominating character trait or a fault to the romance, but one of many pieces of the characters we know and love.

Overall, a solid four out of five stars from me. I’m hooked on Talia’s writing, and now that the series is over, I can’t wait to see what she does next. New to the Brown sisters? You can check out my review of books one and two here. Highly recommended, *chef’s kiss* series.

A copy of Act Your Age, Eve Brown was provided to me by the publisher through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I absolutely loved all the Brown sisters stories, but Eves was definitely my favorite! Talia Hibbert has such a fantastic writing style and I’m so happy I was able to read this through Netgalley!

This was absolutely one of my favourite books of 2020. I adored Eve and getting to know her story, plus the grumpy/sunshine trope between her and Jacob was golden. I think I probably related the most to Eve out of the three sisters and her and Dani were my favourite books. Especially the DUCKS (no spoilers!)

Eve’s story did not disappoint – hilarious and heartfelt much like her siblings, and almost certainly more like me than Chloe or Dani so I related so hard to all of her antics. This book also has own voices autism rep, fat rep, LGBTQIA+ secondary characters, deals with mental health and is just 100% beautiful.

Honestly, if you haven't picked up the Brown Sisters yet, you absolutely should because they are golden.
